This was another spot in Laurel that many recommended we try, and I'm sorry we did. The customer service was subpar with staff not being courteous to customers. Wait was very long and unfortunately it wasn't worth it. Burgers were extremely greasy and the portion size for fries and sodas were ridiculously small. The drive-in was crowded the day we went there. It was recommended by our friends here as one of the best hamburgers in town. It took about 45 minutes for the food to arrive as there was a lot of people there. Personally I do not see the magic here. The quality of the hamburger was just so-so. Nothing special. This is a cool old school drive in (but is really a walk up window) with nice burgers, shakes and malts. They have done a renovation and look more shiny and new but I kind of miss their old grungy dive look. This is definitely a far better choice than any of the fast food locations and probably the best milkshake in town and maybe in all of Mississippi. read more

They have some solid burgers, fries, and shakes. The cheeseburger was pretty good. They only offer American cheese, but it still wasn't a bad tasting burger. It certainly was not the best ever, but it definitely was far from the worst. The chili cheese fries were so dang good. There was an abundance of fries, chili, and cheese. Their onion rings were tasty, too. I tried a small strawberry shake. So delicious. It was my favorite item I tried. It does take a while for them to get your food ready, but this is because they make every order as it comes. I personally like that because I prefer piping hot food anyway. They have outdoor seating. At one point the rain started pouring down, but the covered outdoor area kept us dry so that we could still enjoy our food. read more

If you need a great spot to eat while passing through and want to skip the chain spots, try PDI. If you love milkshakes, get the ones here. I was born in the 50s. This takes me back there. Good service at the window. Good timing in having your food ready. Fantastic choices in how you can have a burger, hot dog, steak sandwich, chocolate malt, and crunchy crunchy ice in your cup of great tea. I could eat there every day. Just wish they would open early and do bacon egg and cheese tacos or sandwiches or biscuits. High quality food. Always hot enough so that you have to wait a minute. This place is a local favorite and stays packed. We called in our order so there was not a long wait once we arrived. These burgers are very good. I have thought about going back since I ate mine. We thought the onion rings were good, but the crinkle-cut fries were just okay. I am ready to try the steak sandwich and maybe a malt. Now, there is no inside place to eat, only a covered area with fans. We picked ours up and ate back at our overnight house. Eating outside in August is not my thing. My husband and I ordered this on our way up to Alabama from New Orleans. We ordered ahead because we had read the reviews on yelp and we're trying to make sure not to have to wait too long. They told us it would take 15 minutes. Instead, it took almost 40. Be prepared to wait. They messed up several people's orders ahead of us as well. The crinkle fries were lackluster, the tots were definitely better. The burger was really pretty good. read more

We were visiting family from out of town and checked this place out before heading back north. It's on old 50's drive-in with a great atmosphere. We had a vanilla malt, pineapple shake, and a corn dog. It is definitely worth the wait. We enjoyed this place and hope to stop by again when visiting Laurel. read more

First off the drive through moves slow , because everything is cooked to order . You can park , and order at the front window , and wait at the picnic tables. They have fans under the canopy at the tables to help with the heat in the summer time. I've been waiting for about 15 mins , and the locals keep this place wrapped up. Everyone I have talked to here says PDI is the best in town. Update order placed at 12:58 got my order at 1:37 . The burger was pretty good . I should have got the jumbo , the regular is a little small . I could have ate 2 with no problem. The chocolate malt was great , so thick it'll give you a workout . read more

Checked online to see Saturday hours which is until 10 PM so I showed up at the drive-through window about a quarter till 10 and could see several employees that all ignored me for about five minutes and never came to the window, so I pulled around and parked in the front and after the lady in front of me paid and received her food I stepped up and began to order only to be told that they no longer serve anything but drinks. ....
