I had a problem with my Lexus ES 350 when a parking lot concrete stop tore the splash guard under the front bumper loose. I tried to push it back into place without success. Knowing there was no Lexus dealer nearby, I immediately drove to Phillips Toyota (I had previously had routine service there). They took my car inside within minutes and showed us into the crowded waiting room. I figured this is going to be a hours long wait. When I arrived, the vehicle was magically no longer on the property. The salesman said there weren't any new cars he could try to upsell me on either while I was there. Bryan really is a service oriented sales professional and I only wish these guys were closer to my office in Miami I'd buy a lot more cars here. I had a very frustrating experience with Phillips Toyota that other potential buyers should know about. I was shopping online for a Grand Highlander Hybrid, and their website showed two in inventory. I called to confirm one was available for a test drive before making the trip. I was placed on hold while they checked and was told they had one on the lot. I mentioned the website showed two, so they put me on hold again to double-check. I was again assured one was available and ready to test drive. Based on that confirmation, I scheduled an appointment and drove an hour and a half to the dealership. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told there were NO Grand Highlander Hybrids available to see or drive. Instead, I was told they had some coming in "in a few days" and asked if I'd be interested in those. That means I made a 3-hour round trip based on information that turned out to be completely false. At best, this shows poor communication and inventory management. At worst, it feels like I was told what I needed to hear just to get me into the showroom. Either way, it wasted a significant amount of my time. Buyers should confirm availability very carefully before visiting. Very disappointing experience. read more

The last two times I went there I waited around 5 1/2 hours with prior appointment times. The last time was 3 hours and I had an appointment with minor work performed. Then after I left the last appointment they told me I need back brakes and tire wheel alignment. Why didn't they do that for the 3 hours I sat. People who came in after me left before me. My Dad sold an almost new Rav4 2025 xle with only 1400 miles that he bought there back to the dealership because of health problems. He wasn't able to drive anymore. I went with him and sat down with the used car guy Tim Morton. He told my Dad they would give him a check for 26000. plus another 4000 in 30 days from the warranties. WE decided to sell the car my Dad was looking to get back 30000. They only sent him back 800 for the warranties and screwed him for 3200. They made money on the car when he bought it new. They'll make money on the car he sold them back. But the greedy son of a bitch used car guy took advantage of my 88 year old father to get another 3200 out of him. What goes around comes around. God will work it out with Tim. Next time I'm in Leesburg I'm gonna stop in and shove a few of the donuts Tim has on the counter in his Ear. read more

Took my car in for service. First time using this dealer. The good: 1) The price matched the estimate 2) The wait time was accurate to what they told me The bad: 1) The waiting area was packed - had to find somewhere to sit in the sales area 2) The "estimate" was just hand written on a piece of paper and I had to initial it 3) There was no "inspection" of the car - no feedback that they checked fluid levels, or brake pads, or tires, etc. Most dealers give you a sheet or a video of the inspection of the car before the service person does the work. 4) I got my estimate prior to the technician looking at the car - I went in for a 40k service, so that's what I got. I don' think I needed anything else, but who knows 5) They don't wash the car after service Probably going to try a different Toyota dealer next time. read more

Nope, nada, never again. In one word....shady, from the first interaction. Before the appt was even acknowledged the service rep is listing all the things that haven't been done. Then upon completion of oil change tells me that after looking into the account stated that he was in error from his first comments about some of the items. We had an appt for an oil change and an air filter/cabin filter. 3 hour wait. Ridiculous! Their website states they are having problems getting help so wait times are longer. Maybe they should plan accordingly rather than making customers wait longer. After work was completed BC tells me he was incorrect on some of the work needed HOWEVER, we were then told that our 2018 would possibly needed a timing cover reseal, but maybe not. (His words not mine) Upwards of $3,000 to fix depending on how bad. BTW-We have NO leaks in the ground at all. The customer Rep, BC, looked at it himself and disagreed with the individual that did the inspection. Yet the notation gets left on our paperwork! The list of what we "needed" done was miss noted as after they did a deeper look at our records some of the work had been completed. We went here as we were away from home and from our own local Toyota dealer. Won't do that again! We will wait. Not all Toyota dealers are the same. My buying experience was good but my service experiences have been very poor the 4 times I've been here. The customer service is severely lacking which may have something to do with over booking. Today's problems is they can't find my keys and paperwork. I had an appt and 1.5+ hours later they are not sure if it is done or never had the work done. I took my car in because I had been battling a mystery issue with my car for over a year (turned out, it was my fuel pump). Jose was wonderful, and the service technicians were able to fix the issue. From start to finish, this was a pretty easy experience. It helps when you go into buying a car already knowing what you want. My advice is to do your research prior to going in. Any information you can take in will only help to make your experience less stressful, and takes away from haggling over the price. They have a really good selection of new cars. Currently they are trying to build up their used car selection, so they are offering deals for trading in a car. The sales team members were not very pushy, and that is important to us. We hate to be pressured into making any kind of decision. The finance department made the experience easy, and explained everything to us in detail. I took my car to Phillips for a 30,000 mile tire rotation and oil change. The service tech, Brian, recommended four other items be addressed during the service, including two fuel injector service items. He told me that they were items that should be performed at 30,000 miles so I agreed to the service. After paying over $400 for the service I went online and checked the owner's manual, and could find no reason for performing the service. One link even said that no service should be performed under 100,000 miles (according to Toyota Master Technicians) unless the vehicle was experiencing problems (which mine as not). I discussed the issue with the service manager, Jose, who stated the Toyota recommended the service, even though I could find no confirmation of that online. I paid for service that was not needed and I will not return to Phillips for service or the purchase of a vehicle. read more

I am absolutely disgusted at this place right now. My elderly parents bought a brand new RAV4 about 3.5 years ago. And if course right when the 3 year warranty ended the problems started. They have had to have the car towed and battery replaced four times in three months! The last time they had car towed there instead of fixing the battery the salesman saw an easy target and five hour later had swindled my parents into a new car! When I saw the sticker price and all the add ons and the ridiculous low-ball trade in for the broken down RAV4 I was livid. They basically spent $38,000 for a $30000 car. They should be ashamed. First of all, yall should have had a meeting to get your stories straight bc your communication is still lacking. Secondly, you personally should have checked the facts before replying in a sad attempt to discredit me. Furthermore, the first repair was for a brake caliper, not a bearing. Yes, the repair was done on the drivers side front, however, your techs and service members stated both front tires had been taken off to verify that it was not both calipers. So my complaint is that the tire was taken off and not properly put back on. Since you've looked into it, you can tell me which time they've lied. When they stated on the first visit that they checked both calibers and therefore did take both tires off or if they didn't complete the job and do what they said they did the first time therefore didn't take both tires off to check if there was damage to both sides with the first visit? If the job wasn't done to specification the first time, then we have a different issue. If you're claiming it was done to standard as stated the first time, and that both sides were checked in the first visit, then your techs were the last to touch the lugnuts/tires/studs/calipers/brakes on both sides. If you're claiming both sides were not checked in the first visit, then we have the issue of being lied to about the quality of work and your techs neglected to thoroughly check over the vehicle to assess the original issue which speaks to a lack of quality and safety protocols and attention to detail still resulting in your service department allowing us to drive off in a vehicle that was unsafe and not repaired to the standard we were assured. As for the loose lugnuts, we were told by your team that one had been crossthreaded resulting in it being stripped and that it had come loose which is why the wheel was coming off while we were driving. Now yall keep trying to cop out by siting how many miles and how long it was, conveniently glossing over that it had to take time and pressure on a crossthread for it to strip out enough to be loose and cause damage. Robert accused me of telling him how to do his job and he'd be right. It appeared like someone needed to when your team keeps trying to misdirect conversations, when they bother to be available that is, and seem to intentionally cause confusion in an attempt to force me to drop this. Rather like this reply was intended to be a direct hit to discredit my character and again avoid accountability. so far all is well with the 2024 highlander. We have been waiting for a second FOB for Toyota but nothing yet. we bought it in February and have called several times to get a answer. We have be told end of July now it is end of August. I am highly dissapointed with Toyota . I purchased my Sienna new in Las Vegas and drove first to NY then to FL and reached my 5k maintenance alert. I called Phillips Toyota on a Thu and got an appt for a Sat aft appt. I showed up at 1:30 and the service dept took me right in and within 30 minutes had the tires rotated, the fluids topped off and the 22-point inspection completed. It took a lot less time than I thought it would. read more

Rough idle not accelerating. Requested diagnosis. They reported I need 3 new belts, new battery, leaking power steering pump, cracked exhaust manifold, blocked catalytic convertor and an O2 sensor. Most of these have nothing to do with the problem. The O2 sensor was new and the catalytic convertor was 100% not blocked. I asked that they perform some additional tests, they agreed, left the car for two days. Never received a call back and the car was in the exact same place as left. When I asked for some additional tests they said that would cost more. When asked about engine codes the response was, check engine light was not on. They would not give me a print out of what tests they performed, especially what codes were shown. They did not do a compete diagnosis. Did not get what I paid for read more

I bought my car at this dealership and have had it serviced at the dealership since 2018. Making sure I did all the oil changes tire rotations and other things that they requested. Yesterday I had to have it towed in because it wouldn't start. The tow truck operator thought it might be the alternator. I called them to let them know that the car was on its way and they said they would call me as soon as it arrived. They did not. At the end of the day I called to find out whether the car had made it there or not. They said yes the car was there and the service manager who was responsible for it was named Tonya and that they had not been able to look at it yet but that she would call me the next morning. At 4 o'clock I still had not received a call so I called the dealership and was informed that Tonya leaves at 4 o'clock. I asked if they could tell me whether anyone had looked at the car and if there was any way, I could find out when the car would be fixed. They searched around and said they found that the car after all only just needed a new battery and it had been sitting there ready for me to pick up all day, but no one had bothered to call me. It put me in a real bind, trying to find someone that could get me up to the dealership before it closed to the car. read more

This review is for the service department which I have been coming to for years. I have learned to always request the same service representative - Tonya. Not all service representatives are the same caring, friendly personality. This tips come from my years of experience. (Pro-Tip #1) Make an appointment with the service department. Appointments go first. Others get taken on a time available basis. Don't complain about the 1.5 hour wait before the mechanic starts on your car if you don't have an appointment. (Pro-Tip #2) If you are waiting on-site, tell the service agent and give them your cell phone so they can text you if they need you and not just shout in the waiting room, where you may or may not be at the given time, causing delays. (Pro-Tip #3) The service agent who is randomly assigned if you just drive up and comes to you car is who is going to be handling your service. If you don't like them, go to the kiosks to the left and pick someone else immediately because switching later is a real hassle. The service representatives work on commission, and I've had one I wanted replaced actually argue with me and Toyota management over his loss of income and time because I was so unhappy I demanded to switch. (Pro-tip #4) Make sure the person you want to be your agent checks your car in to the service department. Simply bring your keys to the kiosk and give them to the correct person. Once upon a time, I made an appointment requesting Tonya and another person checked me in even when I explained the appointment was with her; he brushed it off and said who checked me in didn't matter. News flash - it does! He simply claimed me as his, which caused confusion when I tried to follow-up with her. Again, I had to be reassigned with the him whining that he did nothing wrong - except not inform the customer! Ironically, the same agent I had switched from before; he should have known better. You can always ask to see the part they are replacing such as the air filter to verify it needs replacing. If you need a simple battery for your key fob, like I did today, you don't need a service agent. Simply park and proceed to the inside counter. The person will replace it on the spot for just over $6, which is worth it so I avoid the hassle. Of note, my dad and I have on occasion wandered around in casual and well worn clothing looking at cars in the parking lot for up to 20 minutes while waiting on service to kill time. No one asked if we needed or wanted help purchasing a car. read more

VERY DISHONEST COMPANY!! We traded in our 2019 Toyota 4Runner lease to another dealership, that simply offered us a much better deal than Phillips was willing to offer. We were given a paper with our trade in miles and told to return to Phillips Toyota and that they owe us a refund on the excess wear & tear warranty that was not used, So we did exactly that. We spoke with a not so nice older lady who was taking care of this and she said that nothing was owed. so when we left, we called the other dealership (Deluca Toyota) that we purchased out new 2022 Toyota 4runner from and told the sales manager what she said and he said that she is lying straight to your face and that this is the policy of all Toyota dealerships and that it is in the papers that they owe us the money. Funny thing is its not even a large sum of money $100 - $200 which is no biggie to me its just the fact that PHILLIPS TOYOTA WOULD BE SO DISHONEST!! I am going to go higher than Phillips Toyota and explain what this Older Lady did. Do you really want to buy you car from a dealership like this? I was working with this dealer over text being they are a 4hr drive round trip and I did the online appraisal and it offered what I am currently being offered in my area so I decided to reach out. After talking with them and them not seeming to excited to work with me they came back and offered 11k less on trade in. Again I have already had the vehicle appraised in person near me so it's not "my number" I'm looking at it is the trade in market value of my vehicle. They said it's up to the used manager if he wanted to go up in price but again I'm not driving 4 hours and waiting has to work with a dealer that doesn't seem like they want to work with me. read more
