Today we had issues with our water heater not producing hot water which for me is a must. Tried calling three other places at least and the best they could do was to have someone come out Monday. I then came across Dan and his business and decided to give him a call. Glad I did as he answered quickly and offered to come same day. Estimated about half and hour to an hour and came around the time he quoted. He looked at our water heater and helped out with fixing it. Our water heater doesn't have much time left and I'll be sure to have Dan come out and replace it. Dan Garth Phillips license was suspended because he would not pay workman's comp insurance. He sold a tankless heater and did not install it correctly. He wanted to charge more money to fix the problem. He took advantage of an elderly person. Avoid him. He wanted cash up front and went to the bank with the elderly person. In addition, his license was a contractor's license and not a plumber's license. Mr. Phillips keeps phoning this senior citizen trying to get her to change this review. Intimidation? Harrassment? The customer was not supplied with the owner's manual for the tank-less water heater. Instead one of the neighbor's downloanded the manual from the tank-less water heater. The senior citizen also found out that the pump that came with the Tank-less heater was not installed and instead the very old pump was left. The senior citizen has not received any written communication on how he will resolve any of the problems. read more

My water heater stopped working and I didn't have hot water for a few weeks so I finally called Dan. He was the only plumber that was willing to do a free consultation. He was super helpful over the phone and when he came to work on mine, he was amazing. He got my warranty people on the phone, spoke to them, came to the conclusion that the 3 year old water heater was broken and got them to agree to give me a brand new one for free. This review is looooong overdue. About a year ago Dan installed a new water heater for us and he was AWESOME! My husband and I had just moved into our new home when we began having issues with our water heater. Turns out our water heater was 17yrs old was leaking water and a little gas. We have a 2yr old and I was scared for his safety, given the gas leak. It was 4:30pm and Dan said he could install next am. He said yes the existing water heater was dead. I asked for a recommendation for a new water heater, and he said he would not put back a tank type. I'm a DIYer first in most cases, but I finally reached the point where I gave up and wanted a professional. (That, and my wife wanted hot water!) I called Dan on a Saturday, and he returned my call no more than 15 mins later. I described the situation and what I had done. There is no one better for plumbing and water heater service than Dan Phillips! I found him when I had an emergency with a valve in my bathroom and then later, a problem with my water heater. He is available, no airs, gets to work and his prices are beyond fair. My water heater was still under warranty and he called the number for me and made arrangements for the company to send the piece that was needed for the water heater. This guy is amazing. We had our basement backed up with sewage & he came the same day after he finished his work for the day & snaked the line 75 feet at 11:30 pm at night. He is efficient, honest, a very hard worker, and very professional. He can do anything that has to do with construction as well as plumbing. He is very conscientious about doing a great job and making sure the customer is completely taken care of & happy!
