There was no drive thru, but you could tell it was popular...people kept pulling up at breakfast time! There were lots of people parking and grabbing pretzels...its a very quick process. The man next to me bought 10 pretzels... I was amazed how fast pretzel service can be! I bought a cheese sauce to go with my pretzels, but there were many sauces available. The whole buying process took 30 seconds! Seems like they also offered ice cream, but no one was buying this early on a cold morning. The pretzel itself was good! It was warm and soft, but had some chew. The white rock salt was lightly sprinked and was the perfect amount. I actually had never had this shape pretzel before It was twisted but long and more oval. In a quest to bring "healthy-ish" snacks to my tabletop gaming group (i.e. not gorge in sugar-laced bliss on munchkins and the like) I decided, rather on a whim, to stop into Philly Soft Pretzel Factory for their 'rivets'. Thanks to my handy-dandy Yelp app, I quickly located this shop and loaded directions. Thanks, Yelp! This location clearly was at one time likely an ice-cream stand, however they've converted it nicely into a store with a walk-up window. Bonus: This location also serves hand-dipped ice cream, which is a kind of genius. Everyone knows that pretzels dipped in vanilla ice cream makes for a heavenly treat. Also I love ice cream. I remembered at the last moment though that I was there for something 'reasonably healthy', so I with some effort ignored the lovely ice cream waiting for me. I ordered a large box of 'rivets' which came with two dipping sauces. I chose the most popular - spicy mustard and cinnamon dip. I also got a pretzel dog because, well, they were there and I was resisting the ice cream and had to have something. Both items were delivered promptly and packaged for easy carry. They were friendly and efficient. With one last longing glance at the ice cream, I left. Been here twice so far and based on the other most recent reviews I'm not surprised about the customer service. As soon as you walk in, the cashier don't even give you a damn chance to even say "How you doing?" He yells out "Can I help you"? Smh The first time I came to this location I told him "Yeah, you got to give me a second" like damn give me a chance to walk through the door first dude. They need to take him off the register for a little while, seriously. Other than that, my pretzels were hot and fresh taste delicious when I got home. They were so good I returned I think a couple days later. It's a deal in my eyes if you can get 5 pretzels for $3.00. Can't beat that plus they have more deals than that. I had such a wonderful experience at this Pretzel Factory yesterday. My son's daycare was celebrating teachers appreciation month and it was our turn to bring a snack. My husband determined that soft pretzels would be a good idea to bring for the teachers. We got to the location around 8:00 a.m. and there were already three or four people in line. When the nice cashier heard us talking about a pretzel tray she let us know that it typically takes a day or two before they can fulfill those kind of orders. She then gave us several options to be able to take to his daycare that morning and a menu for the trays to take with us for the future. We ended up getting the largest order of the pretzel rivets/bites and two dipping sauces...then we get some regular pretzels for ourselves for breakfast (lol). I wish I would have gotten her name. She truly made me want to come back with how kind she was to us! The pretzels were on par with the soft pretzels I'm used to from the establishment. This will always be my Pretzel Factory location. Today I stopped in to see that they renovated a month or so ago and it looks great. The customer area is bigger and brighter. They have sandwiches and tons of pretzel choices (salted .. no salt.. smaller ones and mini ones).. Tons of purchasing choices. My son doesn't like the salt and this was the first place I found where it's sold without salt so no more scrapping for him. The kitchen area is open and VERY clean. The staff was really friendly. Plenty of offstreet parking. They have a walkup window and a bench for seating. Favorite pretzel spot! We will definitely be back.. read more

I know it's just a couple of guilty pleasure pretzel dogs and since masks are mandated to be worn. The store did a great job of posting "masks required for service" BUT sadly of the 11 folks in the store only one customer had one! No one has ever been overly friendly at this location but today was really bad. The kid taking my order was so rude like my asking for anything was completely inconvenient for him. He hardly spoke and everything he got for me he slammed on the counter like he was mad. It was really strange. He didn't use gloves or paper to pick up pretzels which I felt was pretty gross considering he was also dealing with money. He was probably a HS kid- so I understand it a weekend job that prob sucks and we all have bad days but please don't take it out on the customers especially when they are being nice. I had an overall very poor experience here today. While the large box of rivets were fine, almost everything else was screwed up: the cheesesteak pretzels were burnt; they gave us a container of cheese with mold; they gave us a butter cream dip instead of the cinnamon we ordered and the chocolate dip container was barely half filled. To make matters worse, one employee wasn't wearing a mandatory face mask and the other wore it around her chin. The food here is amazing. Especially the pretzel dogs and cheesesteak pretzels. Always guaranteed to be fresh tasty and filling. The pretzels can get hard seriously if you don't eat them right away. The people seem to work very hard and deal with demanding customers all day. The one employee told me she couldn't take a $100 bill which would have been fine, I said o.k. It was soft and warm with lots of salt, but it was a little too dense rather than light and airy. I have had other Philly pretzels that are more buttery and light than this one. I placed an order for two large trays of pretzels to be picked up at 730am. I arrived at 740am to find one large tray ready. The information passed on from the previous shift was incorrect. They had no small nuggets available. The gentleman (who was very nice) wanted me to wait while he made enough for a new tray. Since I was under a time constraint (which is why I placed the order online 6 days in advance), I said no. so I was given 3 rows of large pretzels because that is all they had. My order ticket was on top of the one large tray and clearly stated "two large trays". So, no one bothered to read the order form. so, why ask people to place an order online if no one is going to read the order ticket. Who is the manager? So just left the Pretzel Factory in Springfield and i will never go back to that store again. Walked in and ordered pretzels and two pretzel dogs. In the warming case were a few older dogs and the girl behind the counter was holding a fresh tray in her hand. The guy behind counter went to grab us two fresh ones when ahe told him to get rid of the old ones first. I didnt say anything. We paid and got out to the car and they were both cold and dry. My son went back in and told the guy at counter they were cold and the guy takes the two pretzel dogs that were bitten off of by my son and wife put of the bag and puts them bare handed into the over where they cook the rest of the pretzels !!!!! Thats gross !!!! Not only bare handed but to put food that someone took out of the store and bit into back into an oven that is used to make food for public is violation of health code.
