This is by far the smallest Centurion I've been to. I also brag to all my friends about how Centurions have the BEST breakfast buffet I've ever seen, with the absolute best scrambled eggs - NOT HERE! The breakfast buffet the day I came was horrible and looked worn down and had nothing appetizing on it... including the nasty, old scrambled eggs. They did have decent coffee. And honestly, I just needed a place to sit and work, so they offered that. The restroom is oddly configured and small... you walk in the men's room and there are three doors, thinking these are all stalls and no urinals, but walk in the first one and it's a urinal only. Odd! The seating in the lounge is ok, but there were many families with loud kids, so that makes it tough to work, concentrate, and make work-related calls. Overall, if this was my home airport, I'd never return to a Centurion and I'd probably cancel my platinum card. They need to work on this place! read more

I frequently visit Philly Pretzel Factory including their locations in Center City and their Bryn Mawr location. The one thing I like about them, is there consistency. They always manage to provide a solid pretzel. However, this location served pretzels that were severely below their average. I came in today and as warmly welcomed by the staff. I just ordered three soft pretzels and they came out nice and hot. However, upon biting into one, I was really disappointed. The pretzel lacked salt, was dry, hard and lacked flavor. Obviously, I'm not expecting a South Philly pretzel, but this pretzel was just bad. The only things I really liked was the fact that the staff was pretty nice and that the pretzels were rather inexpensive. I got the #3 combo (cheesesteak filled pretzels with a bottled drink). It ran me $7.50. The lady at the register could use a little pep. After ordering a combo she robotically asked me if I wanted a drink. When I said "Doesn't the combo mean it comes with one?" She just said yes and looked at me like she still needed confirmation that I did want the drink. The drinks were in a fridge that were self serve. Once I got over there I realized it was only minimally stocked. It's 9am in the morning and you're already out of everything? Verdict: Ain't no pretzel like a Philly pretzel, even at the airport. This place is located in the outskirts of the airport terminals, in what seems to have the local food offerings. You'll also find the Tony Luke's right across the food court. Pick any pretzel. They're all good and unlike all the pretzel chains you see across the US. These are even pretty different from the Federal Pretzel variety you see at the stands throughout the airport. I recommend getting some normal pretzels to go and also getting one of the cheesesteak pretzel pockets for an immediate meal. It's the best of multiple Philly foods in one. Even though this terminal is at the far end, there's a shuttle that brings you right here from one of the more central locations. If you have the time and want an authentic Philly soft pretzel, this place is definitely worth the trip. read more

All of the convenience and yummyness if Philly pretzels without the added "flavor" of exhaust and pigeon dust that you get from street vendors. The stand also has nuggets (in both cinnamon and traditional), pretzel sausages, pretzel dogs, and pretzel cheesesteaks. They have dips at the left end of he counter, so don't feel the need to buy a dipping sauce. "Phil-a-delphia Pretzel, shine on me" I am a big supporter of the trend of local restaurants at airports. It's usually not as good as venturing out to the original location from both a culinary and vibe standpoint. However, it adds some local flavor to boring stopovers in generic airports. Having a few hours to spare at Philadelphia International Airport I checked out the big map and Philly Pretzel Factory was calling my name. The location is at gate F and I was over in the gate A-C area. In order to not have to pass through security again they have a shuttle BUS. The bus scenario was a bit dicey. You wait indoors but once it arrives you walk outdoors to meet it and it goes out on the tarmac and drives between the two gates. Round trip with 2 bus rides and getting the pretzels was about 40 minutes. Now, was it all worth it? Yes, if you believe the exploration is part of the fun. They have a lot of offerings like pretzel dogs and cheesesteak pretzels but I had no interest in trying those ambitious options. I went with the standard pretzels at the low price of 3 for $3. They serve it with all sorts of dipping options but again, as a pretzel purist, I went with the spicy deli mustard. This was an excellent pretzel, salty and slightly crunchy on the outside. Soft but still chewy on the inside. The one thing that stopped it from being perfect was the freshness. I am not sure if the factory for the pretzel is in the airport or off-site but while my pretzel was probably made that day, it was not fresh and hot right out of the oven. Sadly, like Philly's Hall & Oates my pretzel had already reached it's full potential and was just hanging on to the respectability of its past greatness.
