Stopped by the Santa Ana Marketplace after a TikTok-famous Filipino spot was sold out and ended up at this cozy corner eatery with a huge sandwich selection. I went with the Cuban sandwich (forgot to ask for no tomatoes, but easily removed them). It came with a small side of cold macaroni salad that was flavorful with a nice peppery kick. The sandwich was really good and came out quickly. All the condiments were within easy reach, which was convenient. The only downsides: I stood there for a minute or two before staff looked up from their phones to help me, and the fried ham was a bit greasy and heavy on my stomach. Overall, solid experience -- I'd rate it a 4.1/5. Would definitely come back for the sandwich and mac salad! read more

Located inside 4th street market, this sandwich shop makes great quick meals. The Cuban Sandwich is loaded with a good amount of meat and sauce. Bonus that the baguette was not soggy at all. On the other hand, Philly cheesesteak is loaded with meat and cheese and grease lol. The bread for that sandwich did get soggy and overall felt quite heavy to eat. I do wish the sausage links in the French toast sandwich were slightly bigger, as they were on the smaller and thinner side. Maybe a sausage patty would work better for that sandwich. Came for lunch here today, and really enjoyed it! The shop is located in the back of 4th St Market next to Recess. Service was quick and nice, I ordered a chicken club. I was also pleasantly surprised by the side macaroni salad it came with, it tasted better than your standard issue macaroni salad for sure. Considering the price and quality, this was a great meal. A great sandwich spot at 4th street market. I really didn't expect much, simple sandwich sounded good and "French dip" was today's special. I was pleasantly surprised at the amazing sandwich I got today. Probably the best French dip sandwich I have ever had. While I was eating I saw some other menu items scroll on the menu and can't wait to come back. Took half home for my wife to try and she agreed that they have a great French dip. Pastrami is on my radar up next. Parking can ebb and flow DTSA, today was plenty. 4th street is walk up and pick up, find your table and bus yourself. Plenty of seating. I found The Deli Station in the corner. Service: The cashier was quick and efficient. After I placed my order, I was handed a buzzer to notify me when my order was ready. Throughput was under 5 minutes. What I ate: I ordered the Breakfast Burrito with ham. Other than the onions, I really enjoyed it! I prefer my onions diced. It was a large sized burrito, and it was definitely fulfilling. The salsa was also good; it gave the burrito a mild kick. My favorite part was the hash brown! Pricing: The Breakfast Burrito was $11.99 before taxes. That's average price for a breakfast burrito. I'd say it's worth the price! read more

Carnitas Torta! The hype is real! Ok like my 4SM review I mentioned I would never put a sandwich shop at the top of my list for the best food at 4sm but the Carnitas Tortas is money! It is unique, good bang for you buck, has great flavors/ingredients, and the overall sandwich is outstanding! First of all, my first bite was bread with carnitas sauce, I would just eat that byitself. Than came the bite with the meat, sauce, mayo, salsa, orgasmic! I had other food items from different places that I had already finished and eaten (faka, Nori, tuk tuk) and this sandwich was the last to be eaten and it was still amazing. We actually were going to take this to-go and eat later but I'm so glad we didn't. The carnitas sauce soaked the bread just perfectly and the seasoning and salt were well balanced. The mayo, sauce, and avocado combo was perfect along with that super moist carnitas. Wow I can get a pound of just the carnitas meat. I've never had a sandwich this well done and put together like this, therefore Deli Station deserves top marks. The hype if real! For $12, this sandwich is filling, tasty, and a great bang for your buck. Go get some! Parking is easy and free at the parking structure next door. The sandwich my wife got was dry and light on condiments, it really needed more mayo. I got a breakfast burrito and my only complaint is I would have made some ingredients ahead of time and just warmed them up. The burrito was too hot off the grill and the tortilla couldn't hold up to the heat if I waited for it to cool down. Idea and presentation was great, but the execution could be better. My husband and I came here on a Saturday and it was surprisingly empty. We ordered a breakfast burrito de chorizo. It was amazing! Perfectly cooked, well seasoned, and the hash browns in the burrito were still crispy! We were going to ask for salsa and to our surprise it was already on our tray. I rarely leave reviews, but this place really deserves its high rating. Went for the first time today and ordered one chorizo breakfast burrito and one pastrami & coleslaw sandwich. The burrito was perfectly prepared, with fresh tasting ingredients properly distributed throughout the tortilla wrap. Salsa was provided without asking, and in a large enough qty to actually get to the end of the burrito without going dry. Not that this burrito really needed it, because the ingredients were so flavorful on their own. The sandwich was also killer. The baguette had a nice and crispy crust, while remaining soft and fluffy on the inside. Meat was stacked thick, and the coleslaw really set it off. Everything was really just absolutely delicious.
