The firehouse decor and overall branding of Firehouse sets apart from so many other Quick Service restaurants that are redesigning to be more "professional" (I prefer the term "sterile"). Terrible experience at this Firehouse Subs location. I've ordered from here before and never had an issue, but today was awful. I ordered my usual sandwiches and specifically did NOT select onions when customizing my order, yet both sandwiches came with onions. I called the restaurant expecting them to simply make it right, but the employee told me the manager wasn't there and that they couldn't do anything. I was told everything had to be handled in person or I would have to wait for the manager to contact me. When I asked when the manager would be available or when I could expect a call, he couldn't even tell me. My time is worth more than driving back to the restaurant over two sandwiches that were made incorrectly in the first place. To make matters worse, trying to get help through the app is pointless because it just tells you to contact the restaurant. So if your order is wrong, the app sends you to the store, and the store tells you they can't do anything without a manager. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What made this a terrible experience was the complete lack of effort to make the mistake right. Very disappointing, especially since I've never had an issue here before. read more

Honestly just an Ok Sandwich. I got the medium tuna salad sandwich on wheat bread. I would say it's about. 9" sub. The tuna salad itself was okay, although not very flavorful. The lettuce was crisp. I added cucumber to the sandwich and it was interesting that the cucumber was cubed instead of sliced (don't think I'm a fan). The bread was thick but not of any flavor substance. Came here for lunch today and also to redeem a Bogo coupon from my T-Mobile Tuesday app. I've always been a big fan of Firehouse Subs, but maybe I haven't had it recently enough to know that the value just isn't there anymore. We got two hook and ladder subs, which is Firehouses' classic go-to sandwich: Turkey, honey ham, and Monterey Jack cheese melted with the basics: lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and deli mustard with a pickle spear on the side. While I was grateful that the store was able to substitute my ham for double turkey, I was actually upset, but I was unable to add any of the other add-ons to the sub (they said this wasn't allowed). We got our subs, I could not believe that I just paid almost $15 for what look like two kids size subs with barely anything in them. And that is what the coupon, mind you. Normally this would've costed almost $30 and then today's world, that's just insane . Service is good, it was a bit quiet there, clean restaurant. However, overall, I think firehouse needs to work on their price modelling because there's no way I'm coming back even with the Bogo offer. read more

The small sub costs $8 after tax, and it's so small it's really just a snack. The medium is a $13 sub and it's a good size, but I would like a size in between, and that small should really only be $5. Aside from the sizes, I did like seeing Hot One's Hot Sauces. They even have a sandwich with The Last Dab! I do like spicy food, but that one would be too much for me. There is a hot scale so that you can decide which level of hot is right for you. read more

Decent sandwich shop, I would say it's above subway but below Jersey Mikes. I got the hook and ladder sub which is pretty much ham, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Bread and sauce is good. My only criticisms is that they are a little stingy on the toppings, also forgot my pickle, and their chili had very little flavor. It's been a while since I've been to firehouse subs, was craving my favorite engineer sub, so decided to treat myself. I used to visit almost every weekend. When I walked in there was just one person sitting down waiting on their sub. I walked right up to the counter where I saw 1 Latin lady with somewhat curly hair and wearing glasses. She had a weird look on her face, didn't seem happy. She kept giving me crazy eye stares. I knew what I wanted so I ordered, I didn't ask for anything special nor any substitutions, but her attitude was a bit off, definitely not friendly. I was trying to think why is she acting this way. I'm a very easy customer. After she took my order she clocked out to take a break of some kind. I was happy because I surly didn't want her to touch or make my sub. She looks like she would intentionally do something. The other 2 employees seemed happy & upbeat, my sub got finished pretty quickly and my name was called. My sub was delicious just as I remembered and looked forward to. On my way home after enjoying my engineer I was still trying yo figure out what was wrong with the First Lady. Maybe she shouldn't be in customer service? I have been in customer service with customer interaction my whole life, I enjoy it. When I go out I always try to be the best customer, the kind I like to assist. I know if I were her boss, I would definitely have a discussion to have her fix herself. I ordered the New York Steamer. This sandwich has USDA Choice corned beef and pastrami, provolone, mayo, deli mustard and Italian dressing. I had the 12 inch sandwich with white bread. This sub eas one of the best subs I've ever had. They don't have Pepsi but I am not going to hold it against them because they do have a freestyle drink machine that has a wide selection including grape Hi C. Washroom I used was clean and had paper towels available... good on them. I do have one bone to pick. Personal appearance of one of the employees. I saw a guy who wore Levi's Blue Jeans working at this establishment wearing his shirt untucked. I consider that to be an unprofessional look. So I am deducting one point for the untucked shirt. If I was to assign a letter grade like is done in school this place would get a B+. read more

Located on the corner of 17th St. & Tustin Ave. next to The Coffee Bean with plenty of parking. Don't expect fast service because it'll take a bit and well, good sandwiches are not "fast". I went in yesterday Saturday at about 11am, I paid $14.41 for a Medium Smoked Turkey Breast Combo which includes a drink & bag of chips. The sandwich was super good and satisfying, customer service could be better however...it's kind of awkward when your food is being handled and the staff seems bothered (there was a girl getting trained and she was super nice though). I love Firehouse Subs but both the staff and management at this location are extremely rude time and time again. Yesterday I placed an online order at 11 am, it should have been ready at 11:25; I did not walk out with my order until 11:45. The whole point of ordering online was so that it would be ready when I got there. I arrived and waited five minutes before asking about it, and the employee was extremely inconvenienced to be doing their job. No apology for my inconvenience either once I finally received the food. A few weeks ago they made my sandwich incorrectly and when I tried to point it out and get a replacement sandwich, they denied the mistake even though it was right there in front of them. So.... you're implying I'm lying to you? For a replacement? The original sandwich was right there, what would I gain from lying about that? Do yourself a favor and go to another Firehouse location. Then they brought the meals to our table. As an Appetizer: Two; Firehouse Salads; chopped romaine, tomato, green bell peppers, cucumber, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoncini. Fresh, crunchy, and flavorful. For my Entrée: Firehouse Hero; roast beef, turkey breast, ham, melted provolone, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, and onion. On a toasted wheat roll. A side of potato chips and a drink. A good combination of flavors. Diana had: New York Steamer; corn beef brisket, pastrami, provolone, mustard, mayo, and Italian dressing. On a toasted wheat roll. A side of Ruffels and a drink. It was flavorful. For Dessert: Brownie, Oatmeal Raisin Cookie, and macadamia nut lemon cookie. They were super duperly delicious. I didn't care for Firehouse subs. We ordered the largest ham and cheese and split it. I found it rather bland and didn't eat all of my half. We also ordered a side of Mac and cheese which was very overpriced and looked nothing like the picture. It was a runny mess of processed cheese sauce. We didn't touch it. The best part and the only reasonably priced part of our meal were the two $1 chocolate chip cookies we splurged on. I would come back for the cookies but I would rather get my sandwiches elsewhere. First time here and it was great! Found out online that if you go on your bday with a valid ID you get a free sub! So much better than signing up on a mailing list and waiting for an email confirmation. The subs are pre-built on the menu but I'm sure you can build your own. But I recommend sticking to the menu! I chose the Mesa Verde sub. Part of the lower calorie subs. It came with turkey (all thinly sliced) salsa verde, light mayo, lettuce, tomatoe. SO GOOD! You get a free medium sub for your bday which looked kinda small when I got it but was pleasantly surprised that it filled me up! I added my own carrots and hummus as a side. But you can get chips there if you want. I definitely rank it above most competitors and would choose it as an option more often from now on if only there were more locations! read more

About a month ago I wrote a review on this location concerning the poor quality of the sandwiches my wife and I had. To my surprise the owner of the store called to ask me about my concern. I actually had pictures of what I had purchased and it was nothing like what we ordered. He was very concerned and invited me to return so he could do the right thing. We made the trip back to the facility and were extremely happy with the replacement sandwiches. When we placed the order we did not tell the cashier we had the coupons so the employees didn't know they were serving a customer with previous issues until after the product was delivered to me.
