This place has been my go to nail salon. I love how the owner treats every client, including myself. The nail techs are very authentic and positive. I don't like going to negative salons. So even though I may venture out and try something that was closer or more convenient for me at the time. I still always keep coming back here. You take care of my nails very well. I called in prior yet it seems they have a lot of availability in the mornings, as I saw some people walking in requesting services. Lynn was the one who took care of me & everyone seemed really sweet and welcoming. Most places I've been to in the area offers a menu with additional services. At Phillys, they have the general pedicure service with various exfoliating scrubs, paraffin wax, & a massage. I went here for a pedicure with a my sister and my friend. I have never been here, but my sister vouched for this place. My friend lives practically right next to it, and I am so sad I learned about this place so late! The service was great! My nail tech did an amazing job and was incredibly kind. First time here for a pedi...they were very friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed the paraffin dip (part of the service) and the price was good. The nail cleanup/filing was just ok. She did not clean up the corners of my toenails so they were left ragged and too long. Filing was just Ok. I had to go home and do these things myself which ruined the polish...additionally the polish I picked was old so she added some thinner. Not sure what that did to it but even after the clear coat my nails were not shiny. Daughter got a gel mani and there's bubbles in the polish. I'll need to go somewhere else and get it fixed. read more

The best pedicure I've had in a while. They have a service check-in at the desk, so you can add whatever services you're interested in while waiting for an available nail tech. The pedicure area was neatly wrapped with disposable plastic (changed between customers). The chairs were clean, comfortable, and had a massage feature. Due to sensitive feet, I opted out of the sanding/micro-planing my feet option. They ended the pedicure with a foot and calf massage followed by a warm wax mask. By the end, my toenails looked great and my feet felt super soft. read more

I came out with three cuts on my cuticles, and if you've heard anything about infections, they are from these types of cuts and the drill filing too close or whatever happens. This place was suggested by one of my customers. They were far from my where I live, but I really wanted to try them. Although they were more expensive than places near my home, they were really clean. As a diabetic, they were very careful not to cut me. They also did my nails exactly the way I wanted just in time for my seminar where the theme was Prism Of Possibilities. So the polish is called Chrome, which lasted two weeks so far. They use tools and throw them into a box without cleaning them. when you come in you agree on a price and when checking out they add random add ons and charge more no matter how much you argue they say "no there was a miscommunication". every time i went in there was unhappy arguing customers. also when you give them a tip they have the audacity to ask for a higher tip. read more

Honestly the service made me cry. I came in with beautiful powder acrylic nails I got in Houston with ONE WEEK worth of growth. I requested a fill and wanted my index finger fixed because I crushed it in a shopping cart. The guy wrapped my nails in acetone which I thought was weird and immediately left before I could say anything. Told me "ten minutes." I interrupted them a few minutes later asking why they had to remove my nails. One of the girls overheard and immediately took over my service, removing the foil. By that point my nails were pretty much gone. Two of them broke off while she was trying to repair them. She nicked my skin 3 times (which bled and you can spot in the picture.) I had to repeatedly ask for her to clean up the sides and even underneath the nail. It got to the point of where she just put it away, got up and walked to the front, came back to me a second later and said "you're done." Overall my thumbs and middle finger nails are way too short in proportion to the rest of my fingers. I came in with BEAUTIFUL nails and left with these. I cried when I left and immediately booked another appointment with another salon. read more

Its nice to have variety of nail shops to chose from in North Renton. When I have visited this shop, it was fairly newly opened. I found this husband and wife business friendly and a large clean new space. I liked having a punch card to earn pedicure after various visits a perk compared to other nail shops I have visited. For my trips I have had pedicures and eyebrow waxing. Overall, I like the space, punch card and friendliness from the owners. As with each nail shop, technicians vary in service, which should not be solely a reflection on the shop. I would like my future visits to have more attention to detail on my pedicure experience and better massage. read more

Therefore, if you cant wait 30 mins to an hour or have places to be- try coming in early or during non traffic hours. Attitude is everything. Please do not throw fits or be disrespectful when things dont go your way. Remember that you are walking into their space and they are happy to provide you service- working on you and if you want it done nicely COMMUNICATION is key. Tell them what you want and what you dont- it can simply be done. I love it here because they can make anything happen and their prices are unbeatable. I've been here twice now and each time I walked out being very satisfied with my nails. My most recent visit I came in late afternoon on a Friday and it was very busy. Tram did not rush on my nails which I highly appreciate! She even offered to test out different colors for me! She made sure to inform me of the prices before performing any service which I also appreciate and find rare as compared to other places. Price are reasonable. I've been going to this nail salon for awhile now and I've always walked out very satisfied with my nails. It's definitely my go-to nail salon since the staff is so friendly and won't rush to get you out of there like many other nail salons. Whenever I walk in its always busy, but they manage to get me in as soon as possible. Tram usually does my nails and the results are amazing! She's very diligent with her work and designs my nails exactly like the pictures I've shown her, which I highly appreciate. There's also been a couple times when Mary has done my nails and she does a fantastic job! She's given me a lot of advice about my nails and always makes sure that I'm satisfied with my nails before I leave. Ive been trying to find my new go-to nail place and Philly's was able to squeeze me in after work. Arrived just before 4pm, called beforehand to make sure they would have time for a dip manicure. I was quoted $35 for dip and $5 for manicure (which I think is trimming cuticles, massage and lotion). Tram was the only manicurist working that day. The 3 other ladies specialized in pedicures / must of been occupied with other tasks. Tram was finishing up another client's shellac while someone else helped remove and soak off my current dip that remained on my nails. I initially picked out a color that looked like a pale pink on the sample (NP 105) but after Tram painted two layers on each of nails it was very apparent that this color was a hot pink / vibrate watermelon pink color... which was exactly opposite of what I was going for. Tram said she could paint a glitter over if I wanted, or she could file down and try a different color. I told her I really wanted a pale pink, almost clear, natural color and we ended up picking LP 0. Tram ended up fully removing, filing, re soaking with acetone & tin foil (the full deal) WITHOUT making me feel bad for it. She was very polite and nice and removed it all and re-dipped my nails. All the while another walk in came and asked for fill / shellac so she had to wrap things up with manicure without making the next client wait too long. In the end, I loved my experience here, loved my color and I had no cuts! Really happy with the service, thanks to Tram! I'll be back for another visit soon! read more

I came here on a weekday morning to get my nails done. There were a lot of good reviews here so I figured I'd give them a try since I was close by. There's a big enough parking lot since it's in a little plaza with other shops. This place is a good size and looks really nice and organized inside. Very clean and friendly people. It wasn't busy at all so they were able to take me in right away. I got a clear powder dip. It was supposed to be light pink but it went on and was clear. I didn't mind as it still looked really cute. The woman who did my nails did a good job and it lasted 3 weeks until I got them done again. No chips or breakage. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars is because the shaping was just okay. It was square rounded but I've had it done perfectly at other places. I still recommend going here!
