Wanted to love the place but the bottles weren't open and the owner kept falling asleep.

Bathrooms are top notch. The scent of stale hockey however makes this 4 vs 5 stars. Hot sauce makes up for any other short comings.

One of my favorite things about this place is the fact that they let us choose where we want to sit and the window seat is always open! Another fav is their mimosas. Better than bottomless is a decent price and a decent number of juice options! The lemon ricotta pancakes are so so good! They have something for everyone on the menu. We also love their avocado toast. Service is always attentive and friendly. The ambience is nice. The music isn't too loud and the temperature is perfect.

I actually found Union Hill while planning my friend's 40th birthday dinner from another state, and from the moment I reached out, everything just flowed. I inquired about hosting a dinner and one of the owners, Matt, got back to me within a day. From there, the planning felt effortless. He answered all my questions, stayed in communication, and really helped bring the whole vision together. We had close to 30 people for the dinner in one of their private dining areas, and when I say the staff was impeccable... they were ON IT. My friend had no idea where she was going, so this was a full surprise. Once we gave the staff the green light, they were ready and immediately started accommodating everyone. Everything just flowed from there. We did family-style appetizers, which I loved because everyone got to try a little bit of everything. Everything was flavorful and came out at the perfect pace. For my entrée, I had the salmon and it was so good. And listen... I hosted the whole thing, ate there that night, AND still had leftovers to take home. That's always a win. They were also super accommodating leading up to the event. I was able to drop off the cake and cake pops the evening before, and I was even able to decorate the private dining area, which made everything feel really personal. What could have easily been a stressful experience ended up feeling seamless. The restaurant atmosphere is beautiful. The private dining area worked perfectly for our group, and they even have an upstairs outdoor area as well as a downstairs outdoor space, which I didn't get to experience this time but definitely want to the next time I go back. I'm so grateful I came across Union Hill Kitchen & Craft Bar. It made such a special occasion even better.

The space has a comfortable, lived-in feel with a large wooden bar and plenty of seating that makes it easy to settle in for a while. The menu has a good mix of items like their handmade pierogies and chicken bulgogi wraps, and the bar always has an interesting variety of craft beers and cocktails on tap. It gets pretty busy, especially during dinner time, but the staff is always quick and efficient, and keeps the mood relaxed and welcoming for everyone.

The service was a little prompt but a little confusing as we had two waitresses that did not seem to be communicating since we got asked the same question multiple times by both. The food did come out quickly though! I ordered The Roma sandwich and swapped the fries for the kale caesar salad. The chicken was juicy and paired well with the fresh tomato, field greens, and creamy aioli. The fresh rosemary focaccia was buttery, however, it was still dry and flaky and fell apart rather easily so it was hard to actually eat it as a sandwich. The kale salad was veryyy creamy and heavily dressed with lots of cheese so that's great if that's your jam- I just enjoy a lighter salad. I did steal a french fry from my friend and they were salty, crispy, and quite delicious. The rest of the food was ordered by my friends and are their flavor reports. The hangover burrito was devoured by my two friends, but the words "structural integrity" were mentioned multiple times- unsure if this was due to a weak tortilla, wrapping skills, or a combination of both. My friend's shroom burger was average- the patty was a little dry and underseasoned, but the umami mushrooms and garlicky sauce saved it. The beet burger was savory, paired well with the vinegar and aioli sauces, and is a great vegetarian option. My biggest complaint about this establishment was the price. The food was all decent, but my bill for one drink and one sandwich was $50 total, which I deem as pretty steep.

I'm surprised by how large this restaurant is both inside and outside. There are lots of choices on the menu. My friend got a burger and said it was delicious. She's been here many times before. I got a bowl of Maryland crab soup, and it was really good and filling. I also got the Bay Bridge Wrap, which was big and heavy, and I took half of it home. The Bay Bridge Wrap had a huge crab cake and shrimp salad with lettuce and tomato, and it was so good and extremely filling. I opted to get it with fries instead of chips. Highly recommend. I was having trouble finishing even just the first half. It will make a really good lunch tomorrow! So many things to try there. I'm looking forward to going back. Bella, our server, was fantastic and kept checking in with us. She was quick to refill our water whenever we needed it. Highly recommend and looking forward to coming back soon.

And we expected some wait for food as there were so many people during dinner hour. But as most of the dining room has cleared out, service is still pretty slow. Again, good food, huge portions. I would come here if I wasn't pressed for time.
