Bad business. At least when it comes to selling the gold. She asked if I have tested the gold yet. I told her I have not. She proceeds to take my gold to the back to "test it" and comes back with different news. She claims my two 18 karat gold were "14 Karats" apparently to her. But the rounded up weight and grand total did not make sense at all. I refused to sell the gold and took my gold to another jewelry store. The other store tested it right in front of me and showed me my two 18k pieces were actually 18k as they were stamped when I was lied to at Phnom Pich jewelry saying the stamp was false and claiming it was 14 karats. I ended up selling the gold for almost 3x the amount she told me mine was worth! Bottom line the weight wasn't much so a scam for chump change is ridiculous! read more

Went in today and the bracelet looked exactly like my son's however, it was a lot heavier and with it being more weight meant higher cost. *cry face*. I came here after I had sent a message to the owner about a gold bangle with intricate etching and design on it that I have been searching for. She responded that they carried multiple bangles and that I should stop by to see them which I did weeks later. I inquired with nearby jewelry shops and they didn't seem to carry that particular gold bangle I had been searching for forever. But was super excited to find that this shop did. I came in with my boyfriend who was a regular client here and the owner remembered him and was super excited to see him. She showed me the bangles in stock and I immediately found what I was searching for. I also wanted to customize the bangle with a safety clasp chain with a cute design and she had exactly everything I imagined. And to top it off, the price of the add on safety chain came in way under what I was expecting to pay. I previously went to another jewelry store down the street and they had quoted me a far more outrageous price and the owner was shocked and mentioned that other shop has a reputation for overpricing jewelry items which I will not name here. But overall, for what I purchased and evaluating the market price for my item, I am certain that I got a very great deal for this purchase. Sweet Con Artist - I bought a set of bracelets for my friend's daughter as a present. Serina Lim assured me that if they don't fit she will buy them back and all I would lose was the labor fee, which is $130. To support Cambodian business, I bought the bracelets knowing that the labor fee would have been only $80 at Santa Ana. At this time the gold price was $1,180 per ounce. My total price of the bracelets was $1,345. Sure enough the bracelets didn't fit, so I brought them back...she said now I have to sell them to her. This means that she will pay for the gold at her buying rate. So I would lose the labor fee plus the price difference (buying price vs selling price). To make long story short, the bottom-line I would get only $1,125 for the bracelets. I would lose $220 and at this time the gold price was $1,245 per ounce. The price of gold has gone up by $65 per ounce. So, I told her, "you broke your promise and I don't want to do business with you anymore". Please give me back my bracelets. She was mad and she held on to the bracelets and went off on me...five minutes later, I told her that I am not here to argue with her and I just want my bracelets back. It took her for a long time before she throws them back to me. Her husband was there too trying to intimidate me as well. It is very difficult for me to write this review because I have spent more than ten years to promote Cambodian businesses in Cambodia Town and I hate to see people conduct unethical business practices like that in my hood. I've never written a Yelp review before, but I need to warn the Cambodian community after Serina tried to cheat me out of my diamond earrings. At first she talked politely with me. She seemed nice, but in hindsight I think she was testing to see who I knew and who my connections where. I was looking for a ankle bracelet for my niece, and Serina asked me if I wanted to sell the diamond earrings I was wearing. They are big diamonds and she wanted to buy big diamonds. I was curious as to what my earrings were worth because they are a family heirloom from my great-grandmother. Then Serina told me she could only pay me $20 for them because they are fake. I asked her to prove it with her diamond checking machine. She told me that it was broken, even though I saw her using it with my own eyes. She went on to say that she is a specialist and blah blah blah... and that by looking at it they are fake. Oh really? How convenient. She wanted to buy my earrings, but is now telling me that they are fake? Of course the next day I took my earrings to be tested at the Lakewood Mall. The owner confirm that they are real diamonds.
