We are obnoxiously polite, so it wasn't us. First off, we actually needed to ask for water twice. In fact, everything had to be asked for. Every Chinese restaurant I've been to over the last 48 years always brings you water and tea automatically. Even though there were only two of us, we ordered a crazy amount of food. Did we get duck sauce without having to ask? What do you think? She only made one appearance, and that was only after I stood up and flagged her down. It was early Friday afternoon, and the place was practically empty except for the nearby bar; so it wasn't like she was overworked. She just didn't care.
