It is not authentic per se since they use jalapenos instead of thai chilis however the overall flavor trumps that issue. The pad see ew is delicious. The chicken satay is excellent and the vietnamese beef skewers are tender and delicious. The scallion pancake is also a favorite and the thai iced tea with boba is recommended as well. One of my favorite food is curry so I had to get a curry dish here. I got the massaman curry which I absolutely loved. I was afraid it might be too spicy but it was just right. I was not sure how authentic pho would be at a place that advertises as a pho and Thai restaurant but It was great. My family was sick and wanted chicken pho to go. I usually dont like takeout pho but it the broth stayed piping hot for the ride home. They had vietnamese chicken salad "Goi". It was very balanced with dressing, peanuts, and basil. Not drenched in dressing but not dry. I recently ordered this at a lowell Vietnamese restaurant and it was extremely sour. I didn't eat in but the inside of the restaurant looked clean and well decorated. They had stacks of Cafe Dumond tins out in the open so I'm guessing they sell Vietnamese iced coffee which I'll order next time. It should be good as long as they use condensed milk. Although I've driven past 29 Bistro a million times, I have been hesitant to order from here, because I'm always wary of one-size-fits-all Asian cuisine where more than one culture's cuisine is served. Verdict is still out regarding their Thai food, but their pho is outstanding. The soup was light, but complex, accompanied by great cuts of meat and fresh herbs. This place is amazing and you should go here. Went with my friend and we ordered the beef sticks, crispy pork belly, and I got the wonton noodle soup. I was excited to find a pho restaurant in Billerica. My family ordered pho, pad Thai, orange chicken, and fried rice. All the dishes were delicious, and the staff was friendly. However, there was an issue with one of our orders. The pho we received wasn't what we originally ordered. The staff asked if we wanted to keep it or have the correct one made. Wanting to be understanding, we agreed to keep it, assuming it would be similar. Unfortunately, it turned out to be very spicy, and our kids couldn't eat it at all. When we checked the bill, we realized they had charged us for the more expensive special menu item--without informing us it was spicier or priced differently. We were surprised and disappointed to be charged extra for a dish we didn't order and couldn't enjoy. It felt like we were being penalized for their mistake, which left us very disappointed. read more

We've been visiting this new Thai spot regularly for the past few weeks, and there's something we've noticed. It seems like different chefs rotate through the kitchen. During the weekdays, the food is subpar--nowhere near as flavorful or well-prepared. The poultry sometimes has an off smell, and overall, the dishes just aren't as tasty. On the weekends, though, everything improves dramatically. The flavors are bolder, the ingredients seem fresher, and the entire meal feels thoughtfully prepared. WOW! We went here to celebrate my dad's birthday. There were four of us and we all agreed it was one of the best Thai meals we ever had. We ordered and shared apps and entrees and we were not disappointed in anything we ate. The food was fresh and delicious. We paid attention to the "spicy" description and it was not overpowering--just delicious. The service was amazing. OUr server had a few other tables but she was so attentive and friendly. I wanted to like it because I live very close by but it just isn't that good, the prices are way inflated such as $7.50 for a simple bowl of wonton soup or chicken coconut soup again a small bowl this is close to almost double the price at some other thai places around here. I tried the Thai rolls and they were mealy texture, and lacked filling that was tasty... my GF had the wonton soup again for 7.50 for a small cup and she couldn't even eat the wontons. They had a foul fishy flavor and bogus aftertaste. Again, I wanted to like this place because it's close by but with the prices 30% higher across-the-board for every menu item and with quality that is well below average I'm really disappointed.. read more
