Chicken beef pho with crab and chicken
    Teah W.

Came on a Sunday closer to 5:30 it wasn't packed at all, got seated quickly . Found out that this place does have chicken and vegetarian broth even though the menu only shows beef broth. I ended up getting the chicken pho with crab added and steamed dumplings. The steamed dumplings were sooo good especially with the sauce. The pho was good as well. For my first time I would come back.

Pho 54 is a solid Vietnamese restaurant. There are several things I liked and a few things I didn't like. Overall, I would recommend the restaurant. Pros: The restaurant looks great inside. Compared to other pho restaurants, Pho 54 looks the best. The steamed dumplings were delicious. The vegetables plate for the pho noodle soup was of good portion. The texture of pho noodles was the best. Service was also better. Cons: Hot tea was served in a cup and not a teapot. The pho broth was not savory. This is not to say that it's not good; it just wasn't rich and flavorful enough. I couldn't finish my bowl of pho.

Always give a place a second chance. My first experience here at least a year ago (or 2) was cold, unfriendly and the vermicelli bowl was stingy. Decided to try it today, and this time chose to sit at a table up front instead of those isolating booths in back. That made a lot of difference in warmth and ambiance. Second, look at those vermicelli bowls! Waaay more than we could eat. And SO GOOD! The peanut sauce is very good! Glad to put this place in my list again!

Very good quality Vietnamese fare and at reasonable prices as well. Got the pho with the dumpling soup and I think I was able to spend less than $20. Service relatively prompt and the inside seating area was relatively spacious. Certainly recommended!

Excellent food and service. In my opinion they are a little more pricier than other Pho restaurants.

Always great quality pho and fried rice. They give ample quantity and good sauces. I recommend it for anything in this area.

They've got the roast meats, a large Chinese dinner menu, an equally large Vietnamese dinner menu, catering for events, and my favorite: their dimsum menu. For their regular menu, my family and I will frequently order to go and occasionally dine in. We often order off the Chinese menu when we're going family style (flat noodles, salt & pepper squid, egg noodle lo mein, and scallion chicken are some of our favorites), and we will order from the Viet menu for individual portions (we love their egg noodle soups, pho, broken rice platters). One of my favorite dishes is their lotus root summer salad, and I've not found another place that beats that dish here! I've found their service with regular dining in to be hit or miss. Most of the time we get great service but a few times here and there we have a hard time finding our server. Moving on to my favorite part of Golden Phoenix- the dimsum. They serve dimsum primarily on the weekends from opening to 3pm (I think), and they have really brought up the OKC dimsum game with their large and delicious dimsum menu! Their dumplings like the hargow and shiumai are large, filling, and delicious! I particularly love the fried shrimp and chives dumpling and their shrimp egg rolls. The service during dimsum is fantastic because they've got people pushing around carts and carrying plates of food out to you. Once you're ready for dessert, make sure you grab some egg tarts for the table!

I looked at the reviews and everything told me they are as good as they claim, without being "Breaking The Bank Account." The online services are good. Ordered meals for a robust two person dinner for home, because we just wanted to eat at home after a long busy day at work. Nothing fancy, just a comfort meal in bed while watching a Rom-com Movie and enjoying our beautiful dinner. I for one absolutely LOVE Curry Chicken over white rice. The recipe and portions are perfect. So anything you order should be a "Home Run" meal from Grand China! I grew up being able to eat The Original "Jackson Street" San Francisco China Town Center Chinese Food Restaurants. History: San Francisco China Town is the original destination for Millions of Chinese Immigrants who came to America directly from China to work on The Trans-Continental Railroad in the early 19th Century. If you ever watched Bruce Lee's Movies, he shows you a lot about SF China Town's history. Point being, SF China Town set the food quality benchmark ever since they arrived to provide labor for the railroads buildup across America in the early 19th Century. Grand China exceeds that SF China Town Benchmark and you won't be disappointed. Good Day

Some bites had tablespoon sized globs of thick sauce on them. Not good. Other bites had hardly any sauce. I expect my food tossed in sauce, not the sauce kind of thrown on top like its gravy. Fyi: fried rice means plain fried rice. It's just rice that is fried. No veggies or anything. So make sure to specify if you want veggies and egg. This is my mistake. The lo mein was a fairly tasty average lo mein with thick noodles. I probably won't order it again, but it was filling. Portions were pretty standard Chinese takeout portions. Prices were pretty standard as well. Overall, I'd say this is a pretty average Chinese takeout place that just needs to toss the food a bit more after adding sauce.
