And man will I always remember to have cash on hand now. You walk in, get seated and get tended to immediately. Both times I have been here the service has been excellent. They are quick and efficient! The meat combination Pho is the thing to get here. The regular bowl is the perfect size. Firm noodles. Generous amount of meat. My mom introduced me to Pho 75 when I was in high school and many years later I still love this place even though I no longer live near this restaurant. We happened to be nearby so we decided to have a quick lunch. There was a few empty sections when we arrived so they were to seat us quickly. I had chicken pho and the pink jello dessert. Both items very very good. My son and husband liked their soups as well. I also like that they added spring rolls and summer rolls to their menu. I find that the service here is a lot friendlier than other Pho 75 locations. The best pho place I have tried so far. I have been frequenting this place ever since I moved here years ago, prices have always been low and food great. Parking can be somewhat difficult to find at peak times, but you can usually park nearby at the Giant and walk over to the restaurant. The atmosphere of the place might not be the best, but they recently updated the tables and chairs, though some improvement to the decor could be made. There is usually no wait time, even though it's quite busy. Service is nothing special, but its fast. The pho usually comes out quickly, and is at a good temperature, and the taste is great. Sometimes the beef can be harder to chew, but the beef overall is very good. You pay in cash only. It's very worth it for the price, and is one of my favorite restaurants. Pho 75 is pretty decent in that you get a regular bowl of pho for roughly $7 in Rockville, MD. For a few more bucks, you can get the large bowl, which looks about an inch bigger in circumference of the bowl. I, however, definitely got full of a regular bowl of pho and couldn't finish the leftover meat or broth. They have awards plastered on their wall from winning Best Deal in Washington for the past 10+ years, which is pretty impressive. Their pho is decent, though I thought the noodles tasted a bit clumpy. The bowl of pho didn't blow me away or anything, but it did fill me up. Would I come back? If I was craving pho in MD, yes. This is the usual pho place my bf and I go to. I've been going to this pho restaurant ever since I've been introduced to pho, and I was actually introduced to pho at this very restaurant... but I digress. The pho (when a good batch) is absolutely amazing here. They tend to be inconsistent in their batches, however. I just noticed this a few months ago. Sometimes, their noodles are not the perfect amount of softness, but are a bit hard, and sometimes their broth is not all that flavorful... I would say this happens about 1/5 or 1/6 times. Kind of disappointing and don't always want to risk it being a not-so-awesome-batch kind of day. Don't get me wrong, I love this place. And like I said, when they have a good batch, boy, is it GOOD. The vietnamese iced coffee is also very good here. The parking, however, sucks like none other. For people who do not know how to drive (ie: people like me) this may pose a problem. (though a bit pricey at $3.00 for two each) The broth is what sets pho restaurants apart in my opinion - this place sets the bar high over other places I've dined at. The menu is a bit limited in choices, but the service is extremely fast and prices are very reasonable. Next door is a Chinese bakery with lots of good options for dessert. I'll usually get the #6 here which includes brisket, tripe, and other add-ins. There isn't too much variety between each offering, but well worth the trip overall. This place is Legit! Visiting the in laws in Maryland where authentic asian cuisine is lacking always encourages me to hunt for places that are comparable to those in LA. When I said I wanted Pho, my father in law knew exactly where to take me. Immediately upon entering, I noticed it was voted top 20 places to try in MD, with the added "CASH ONLY" sign gave me further indication that I was in for a pleasant surprise! At $6.25 a bowl (med) and $7.25 a bowl (lrg) the prices are not only reasonable, but definitely worth what your getting. The ultimate test for any Pho restaurant is of course the soup, and I must say I was quite impressed. I scarfed down my bowl and my husbands, with no nasty dry MSG feeling the next day. Their soup is great, but their drinks are deceiving. Expect to make your own ice coffee out of a cup percolator with coffee grains and a glass of ice on the side (which I refused to drink!). Their milk tea is plain ice tea (not what's on the picture).Their water is brown and lemonade tastes just like tap water with probably a squeeze of lemon (not lemonade at all). Not going back there anymore. Regret traveling more than half hour to eat there. For a restaurant, the place should be cleaned, but expect to see sticky and dirty blinds. It's been a while since I've been back in Rockville. But I need to write a review for this place because it is my favorite pho place. Ever. Simple and no-nonsense...the food comes out super fast. All they really do is pho, but they do it with excelence. I put in the bean sprouts, basil, mint, and lime, but I don't even use any extra sauces like sriracha or hoisin. I have a number of Pho addict friends like myself and I am probably the only one who doesn't like this place very much. Most people consider Pho 75 to be the gold standard for Pho in the DC area, ad I guess in some ways they are. The Arlington location was one of the first in the area to serve this delicious, comforting soup, and as such, all other places are compared to 75. But the reasons I don't make the trip up the Pike to Pho 75 very often have nothing to do with the quality of the broth. The broth is damn good. It is a very clean broth without lot of the cinnamon and anise that can be characteristic of other restaurant's broth. And if you are judging a Pho place the #1 consideration is the broth. Different places have different styles, and Pho 75 is very consistent and good. So why do I drop it down to 3 stars then, you may wonder? It my personal preferences. If you like the beef/tripe/tendon choices, you always have at least $10 in cash on hand, you like cafeteria style ambiance, you never would order veggie Pho, and your idea of good service is just "bring me my soup quickly", then you'll love this place. I, on the other hand, almost exclusively eat veggie Pho (with the beef broth), I never carry cash, I hate cafeteria style seating, and I like a little warmth in my service. read more

This is such a great lunch place! I only eat non-meat Pho, so I've never needed to wait more than 3 minutes to get my bowl of noodles, which is only 5 bucks! Granted if you want anything more than a bowl of soup I would order it all at the same time, this place is treated more like a quick lunch place, and not a wine and dine, and lack in service, but that's OK for me I'm usually in and out for a quick lunch. Another restaurant with gross windows, dirty tables and mediocre service at best. Damn nasty if you miss the 3x5 card saying cash only and try to pay by credit card. Worse of all, is how they bus the tables. We watched them drag out the cart and load up the dirty bowls, silverware, napkins and the plates of condiments (basil, sprouts, etc.). The plates of condiments are put in a separate bin on the bus cart. Why? Why are these plates saved and not dumped as part of trash on the table? While of course I have zero evidence and may be too much of conspiratist, but could they be recycling these plates? Served to table after table as guests hack, cough and touch it all up? No excuses. We ordered delivery and of course they did not secure the lids for the broth. Almost all broth in the bag. So I take a look to see if my wife's meatballs were in there and sure enough all 3 little wedges are in the bag. 3 little wedges and you charge $10. Then there was the appetizer,Hoanh thanh chien , should be called no filling inside of wonton. You couldn't fill a thimble with the filling from this wonton. COVID is no excuse for not securing lids or skimping on the filling of an appetizer that sells for $8. If it was $3 still not worth it as there is not enough to taste pork or shrimp which supposedly was inside the wontons. read more

I love this place. Granted, I have had Pho in only one other place, so I can't compare it to anywhere else. My experience here is limited to take-out, although I have eaten in once when I was hungover. The service is FAST! You order your soup, and it's ready in just a couple minutes. They give you a LOT of food for your money too. A huge container of soup, plenty of noodles, and a big bag full of veggies (bean sprouts, basil, jalapeno peppers, onions, scallions) with some lime wedges and two packets of hot sauce and some brown sauce. The only downside is that they give you very little meat. Most of the meat I've had is a little too fatty, so I opt for the eye of round which has less fat, but that's usually only a few pieces. However, the broth is really flavorful and really hits the spot. I love ordering from here when I'm, yes, hungover or when I'm feeling under the weather. The large is more than enough for two people - actually, the regular is probably enough for two people too. Only downside is that this place only accepts cash. Also, the staff doesn't really speak English, so it's difficult to ask them questions about the food (but they are nice!). If you want pho, come early - they close at 8pm! read more

I was excited to try a new pho place in town since we always go to the same one and because it had 4 stars! Maybe I am just really picky with my pho, but I was not impressed. I got the large #1, I believe it's their combination pho. I was not impressed because i thought the broth was pretty salty and had to much of the star anise aroma smell and flavor. I had to add a lot of hoison, Sriracha, lime, and sugar.( I hate when I have to add too much stuff) Their broth also was not clear like I prefer. On a good note, the food came out super fast. I think we were only there for a total of 15 mins. Lol that's pretty fast. The service was like any other Asian family own restaurant.
