This used to be the old Ms. Saigon spot. The food is as authentic as can be! For beginners, the papaya salad is to die for! Followed by some fresh spring rolls and a tasty Pho bowl. If you're craving delicious, authentic Asian food, this is your spot. Enjoy!!! read more

Great portions, price, many fresh accompaniments like a Vietnamese place should have. Fresh jalapenos, customer service is good when the vietnamese lady is there or some of the experienced staff. When the gen z staff are there its another story. The vegetarian options are good too. read more

Needed something to eat before hitting the Dadeland Mall and I saw this while driving by. When I get pho i always get chicken pho which is pretty hard to mess up. I was (happily) surprised when I saw their menu included Boba smoothies. Many places only have Boba tea so i appreciated the difference. I got the Taro flavor and WOWWW!! I've had lots of Boba but nothing compared to this one. As far as service, we were sat down immediately upon entering and our server was the best. She broke down the menu well and was constantly making sure we were well taken care of. The parking is directly in front of the restaurant too. I would come back for sure read more

I found this little gem in South Miami and it was such a treat. The restaurant is in a great location but there are a lot of other businesses in the strip mall and so I would advise that parking can get a bit tight. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, they were helpful and the menu was not overwhelming. I ordered pho, vermicelli, and spring rolls. I would say that everything was great, the pho was very savory. It was not the best I've had of anything but it was what I needed and it hit the spot. read more

Bowl of pho + Vietnamese coffee = Breakfast of hungover champions. That broth was brothentic AF. It comes with all the herbs, greens, and toppings. Certified deliciousness. Skip the papaya salad. Salt&pepper shrimp was tasty. We went away from our usual summer rolls or spring rolls... we were feeling frisky that day... kinda regretting it but it's all good. read more

I've been dying to try pho and finally decided to try pho 79 because it's close to my house. The place was extremely clean (even the condiments on the table were clean and not smeared like in a lot of places). We were warmly greeted by a lady who also became our waitress. She was extremely attentive and incredibly kind. When I got my pho I honestly thought they had brought me the wrong size; I had ordered a medium and I thought I had gotten a large - the portions were HUGE! Along with the pho, you are given a large plate of things you can add to the pho and several different sauces. It was so fun mixing different things into my pho and giving it a unique taste. I enjoyed doing something out of the ordinary for dinner. Will definitely be visiting this place again when the weather is cool. read more

If I have to drive all the way from Brickell, it better be worth it - and Pho 79 is a GEM. I can't think of a better Vietnamese in Miami area. I am a creature of habit and my go to items are: - Bahn mi sandwich (they call it an appetizer but you can make a meal of it very easy) - Summer rolls with shrimp - Pho with beef - broth to die for, and a portion feeds two of not three people Their service is top notch and better than most places in Miami. It seems that no one working there has had any training on food safety and property handling of food. The entire staff wear latex gloves and do not dispose of them properly. After handling trash, clean the kitchen, disposing of food and used utensils, using their cell phones, processing orders on the touch screen, handling money. They then proceed to bring out your food with the same latex gloves. They continuously put their thumbs in the soup bowls and water glasses. When this was brought up to the manager she ignored the issue. The waitress was apologetic but stated that the owner is never there and would not provide us with his contact information. This place is an extreme health hazard. read more

Any time I feel a cold coming on, a bowl of pho is my first go-to... And I love this place! The noodles are perfectly al dente and the broth is flavorful. So glad family recipes like these haven't been lost because it never disappoints. The service is fast and the waitresses are always cheerful and attentive checking to see if I need anything. Their uniform t-shirts are just the CUTEST!! The only thing I'd say they're missing is soap inside the women's stall that has a sink (I found some at the other sink) and maybe a hook on the door for our purses ;-) read more

This place is great! My boyfriend and I have eaten at Pho 79 by FIU for multiple times and love it but the Pho 79 in Pinecrest is 10x better. The chili oil is amazing, the broth is sooo flavorful and the service is great. We always order the #26, which has beef with a slight fat trim (trust me, it's the way to go), but the pics attached have a beef rib pho included, too. I would recommend the regular lemonade because it's made fresh daily and/or the passion fruit boba smoothie. Both drinks are refreshing and pair wonderfully with the soup. I could write 10 pages on how much I love this place, but it's best if you just go try it! :) read more

Blown Away! Had mild expectations coming in, a little pho spot in a strip mall area, how good could it be, right? Wrong! As the child of a Vietnamese woman who is VERY proud of her generations-old pho recipe, I have high standards for pho. And my expectations were absolutely met and exceeded here. Details: - Broth: fantastic rich broth, anise comes through, clear, rich bone flavor. Hardly needs any additional hoisin/sriracha (but I added cuz I need that extra kick) - Noodles: proper banh pho square noodles perfectly cooked - Meat: good helping of meats, not too much - Accessory plate: fresh pile of bean sprouts, limes, jalapeño, rau, all proper. My dad brought me here because he heard about it from a friend, this was my first time trying Vietnamese noodles and I have to say it was pretty good! Something different forsure, I got the chicken noddle soup one and it came with a side of veggies (cilantro, green sprouts etc) to add to your soup. I do have to say it didn't really taste like anything not sure if they don't add any seasoning or what but once I added some lemon and spicy sauce it taste way better. Definitely good and interesting, I would go and give it a try if you're looking for something different to experience. read more

Come here if you want authentic, REAL PHO, with all the fixings and deep flavorful broth. This was so good :) I love adding the freshly cut basil leaves and jalapenos into my pho to give it a little kick. It's a great meal to have on those rainy days or if you feel a cold/cough starting to come in. I used to eat pho quite frequently in Vietnamese communities in Garden Grove, California and I got pretty spoiled with their rich reduced broth - so finding some comparable yummy pho in Miami was like a dream come true! Gosh this food was horrendous. The service was not great. The music was loud and glitchy. If I could rewind and regret going somewhere I would. I stopped here for a lunchtime snack. The reviews looked great! I was excited. But boy oh boy nothing could've prepared me for what would happen. We get seated, the table was dirty!! DIRTY?! Yes there was food in it and it was greasy. If they "cleaned" it, they clearly out no effort whatsoever. First red flag, but I ignored it, it's not that big or deal. We ordered, my friend got the shrimp baos, I got the crispy spring rolls. I could've sworn that it was poisoned..It tasted AWFUL. My friend said that hers was cold in the middle and my was SOGGY! It was disgusting, we paid, we were asked to tip and there was no option for no tip..so I gave 10%. Ugh. It ended up being $25.88 for 2 people. I wasn't expecting that expensive. DO. NOT. GO. I was urged by a coworker to come here and finally made my way to Pho 79 for some awesome soup. This restaurant located on us-1 is in a VERY busy shopping center. I actually am not a fan of this shopping mall because there is rarely parking. However I Waac so lucky to find one and made my way inside. I was immediately greeted in the front and seated. I had never been here so I had no idea what to get. But since this place IS called Pho I went with that. Ended up getting the Pho ga which is chicken soup essentially. Got it with zucchini noodles which is a small up charge to keeping it healthy. Absolutely delicious! The portion was great and I had lots of veggie options to add to the soup. Broth was delicious. This is in my area so it's safe to say I'll definitely be going back read more

I'm a Pho 79 fan I usually go to the one by Food Town. I just gotta say that I will never comeback to this establishment. Food was a 3 star but, what I don't support is automatic tip and an 8% sales tax. I know it's just 1% more but, when you collect 1% more plus a forced tip at 18% it adds up. Plus tip is based on service, right? Well, we didn't get an 18% server. It was more like a 12%. read more

It's actually pretty good. I've only tried there summer rolls which a fresh and sweet and delicious. I've also had the chicken pho. They always serve a cold quart size pitcher of water. They ambience isn't very quiet and two monitors show asian cuisine. Great place to take the family if your trying Vietnamese for the first time . I'd give it a 7 out if 10 only because my heart is loyal to Noodles oodles and pho Mac .. read more

No its not. I'm vietnamese and can easily tell the difference between the pho at the Pho 79 in Davie and FIU and the one in Pinecrest. Also the menu at Pinecrest is more expensive.

The standout for me, though, was the Khao So, it's rare to find such a well-executed, rich version of this Northern Thai favorite locally. With that being said... I was excited to maybe find a decent Pho place here in Miami and by the reviews and pictures, figured I'd give Miss Saigon a try. So gross. The noodles were waaayyy over cooked (and did arrive separate from the broth, so it wasn't an issue of the broth continuing the cook en route) and thus they were about 3-4 inches long. Not the long pull and chewy goodness I expect from pho. But okay, pho is about the broth and the meats. I got the pho Miss Saigon (meatball, lean flank, brisket and tendon) but it also had tripe, which I really dislike. The meat was the problem. It tasted like play-dough. The broth, I could tell before even adding it to the noodles, was bland (the color was watered down apple juice, NOT the rich, umami dark brown/amber color it should be) and lacked the aromatics and complex flavors that makes pho pho. But it tasted like play-dough. The noodles, the meat, it all just permeated a play-dough taste. I hate wasting food so I tried to force feed myself as much as I could but after spitting out 3 mouthfuls, I just threw it away. Because it tasted like play-dough. Also, the broth leaked and spilled all over the plastic bag it came in, so I had to first siphon as much broth out of the plastic bag and into the soup bowl as I could before I could even eat it. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. YUCK.

I ordered the same Mama Pork Fried rice with an extra of shrimp, and I have to say, it was just as delicious as the Gables restaurant. I went again just yesterday, and food was just as delicious. I can't bring myself to order any other dish because it's so delicious. Dish flavor, look and texture are consistent too, not just within the same restaurant, but at least across those two locations I've visited, and I've attended twice to both locations ordering the same fried rice - it is always 'identically delicious'. I tried my friend's dishes, and they were all good, and while they wouldn't be my choice, they were all yummy. Their dishes tend to be a bit on the gooey side, but I love that, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I found my new favorite Chinese restaurant.
