The Ambiance is so so not too great. They give you two pieces of paper one menu and one zodiac sign. The waitresses aren't too polite and there's lots of confusion. After returning and new owner. This place has improved and taste a lot better. The pho is really good here. All of their vermicelli noodle dish are really good. The eggroll is small, but it does have a good taste to it. The pho is a hit here and if you ask for the onion oil and added that to your pho, it is a must! The chef special here is really good, but i would say it is a lot of rice with a chicken leg. The thai tea here is really good too. Definitely always come back to their pho! I've been here twice and have had great experiences both times! Pho 99 has definitely become my favorite pho place:) I usually order the veggie pho and add tofu (it comes crispy + fried!). The beef broth is very umami, with a clean and savory taste; you don't even need hoisin sauce or sriracha tbh. The portion size is generous, so you could honestly split a medium between two people (or bring back leftovers). The cream cheese wontons are also good, and they have garlic in them which adds to the taste. The chicken bahn mi is super fresh, and it doesn't have the 'gamey' taste even though it's dark meat. My mom also loved their beef fried rice--which was seasoned perfectly and not too greasy, and she's super picky with fried rice lol. My other friends also really liked their vietnamese iced coffee and thai tea. Overall, I highly recommend visiting if you're craving pho/viet food since their portions are generous and the prices are also affordable for the tasty food. They have their own unique buffalo sauce that comes with their wings. It's like a mix of buffalo and sweet & sour sauce. It hits you with a kick of flavor of buffalo, then hits you with the sweet and salty, and ends off in the buffalo flavors again. This is fire!!! Their wings are good wings, but that sauce tho. Pho 99 I went to the Dragon Star Asian market at lunch in Brooklyn Park, and happen to see this Pho 99 restaurant in the same shopping mall. Decided to give it a try without looking it up online. As we walked in it was an unassuming place but it was very busy with the locals. Kind of cozy. We ordered spring rolls with char grilled pork and I ordered P1. Pho Dac Biet, which had everything in, it large size. I love Pho and could eat it every day. Mine was very delicious. I'm new to the area and thus far this is the best I have had. Let's GO Sonny! Everything we had tonight was fantastic, and my daughter has a new favorite egg roll spot. The pho is incredible, perfect for this fall weather right now. We also had the BBH here for the first time and it definitely did not disappoint. Sat here and shot the shit with Sonny for 10 minutes about motorcycles, super friendly, and easy to talk to. Hands down best pho I've tried so far in the NW suburbs. I randomly stumbled upon Pho 99 when I was scrolling through Google Maps. I'm glad I did! The menu is not big, which already is a huge plus for me. It gives me confidence that they're able to make the things on their item very well. The price points of everything are pretty nice too. We ordered two large phos, which were $11.95 each. That pho lasted me three meals, so I'd say it was well worth getting the large! The broth temperature stayed hot even when I brought it home. My friends warned me ahead of time...this place has good pho but service can be slow. They were right on both counts. We stopped by on a rainy day so pho was the perfect choice. (Note: the menu behind the register is a remnant of the previous restaurant, also Vietnamese, so don't try to order off that). One of the servers was very friendly and talkative, while the other one was younger looking and quieter. It look a while for us to get some water and other necessities, but after we ordered and the pho arrived, we were all very happy. The broth did not need anything else in my opinion. Their soy milk, available hot or cold, is also very good, although I'm not a fan of the pandan flavor they add to it. However! They must use a lot of onions! I had wanted to try this place for awhile and I'm so glad I did! The prices are reasonable and the portions just right! I went with my friend who suggested I try the Bahn Mi sandwich, so I got the beef and a hot green tea. The ambience is wonderful, groovy and chill, lush green plants everywhere, beautiful paintings and the TV was showing an interesting cooking show. The sandwich contained so many different fillings: green bell pepper, Daikon radish, a mild sweet pickle, matchstick carrots, cucumber and fresh basil leaves alongside the most delicious marinated roast beef. This place has wonderful pho, but the service and cleanliness of it are just terrible. I truly believe this restaurant should be "to-go" only because they just do not have the staff nor do they have the capacity for it to be a comfortable dine-in experience. As soon as you walk in, there are tables so close together. We were seated literally right next to the front door. When there was a line to order food, people in line were standing over our table. Not to mention that they are so understaffed that they can't clear tables in good time. We were there for a little over an hour and tables were left with dishes. People would show up and would sit at tables with dirty dishes from the people before them just in front of them. The food was great, though. I enjoyed their spring rolls and their pho was delicious. We decided to try Pho 99 after my mom's treatment. They were the only spot open at 10:00AM. I saw someone post on about this spot on Facebook's Eat N Go. We ordered the pho dac biet, bun bo hue, spring rolls, and egg rolls. The bun bo hue was super good! My mom enjoyed her pho. They have very good portion sizes! Egg rolls and spring rolls were tasty too. There was only one server at the time, but he was attentive. He even noticed we were Korean, and knew some Korean words like "thank you" and referred to my mom as ajumma. Went to Phuong Trang for lunch with 2 homies. First of all let me say I try to be understanding of family owned restaurants and having the elderly take order, because my parents are limited on English too, but it would be nice to have someone who understands the order. There was only 1 waitress too. I ordered the hot wings (I pointed to it on the menu) and they were not the hot wings when it came out, and beef meatball soup, the other 2 ordered pho. The wings came out and they were raw in the middle, I checked a few others on the plate, they were raw as well. I let the waitress know, she apologized and said "we get you new ones", great! While I waited, my meatball soup didn't come out yet. Both my friends pho came out, I waited 2 more minutes because she was taking orders. She went in and out of the kitchen a few times and still didn't come back with my soup, while I watched my friends eat. I finally asked for it and it came out in 30 seconds. My "new" wings finally came back out. Well, they were not a new batch. They took it and just put it back in the fryer, fried it to death, it was so dry I didn't bother.
