We were in the area for an event at the library and I had recently saw their ad on Facebook about their parking lot. My daughter wanted pho so we came here since it was 5 mines away. Got our order in quickly and took longer for the soups to come out as we didn't order any apps. It was very quiet and very slow as we were the only people dining in. The kid's pho had a good amount of noodles but it didn't come with beef and meatballs when they order came out. My bun bo hue didn't have as much noodles and a lot more broth. Very unusual to have the pigs blood serve as not a lot of restaurants add it into the soup. It was the broth was flavorful and I appreciate them bringing it the chili oil in case I want to make it more spicier. Overall, prices are reasonable and their menu could be in plain text as it was difficult read some of the texts. I like that they offer payment via Zelle and Venmo; however, I didn't think that they had taken the 5% off like it says on the flyer. read more

We pass by this pho shop tucked away in its strip mall all the time and finally made a concerted effort to pop in and give it a go! My husband and I both got a bowl of pho and some chicken wings to share. There were only one other couple in the restaurant itself but even if there were more, I love that this restaurant has a very intimate feel. Our server was an older gentleman that really took care of us and made sure we had everything that we needed, kept our waters full, and was super polite and kind. The chicken wings were great! Went on a Sunday afternoon after working hard on a project and was seated right away. Ordered pho and two appetizers. The first appetizer came out after about 30 minutes, and the second one another 30 minutes later. We noticed staff bringing in grocery bags and brisket while we were waiting. By the time an hour passed, we still didn't have our pho -- and the restaurant only had about four tables of people. I had other things to do and a limited schedule, so I asked to just pay for the appetizers. That's when the waiter told me they only had one cook. Gosh i love pho! This restaurant has a bit more of the star anise flavor shining through which really went well when I added lime and chilli oil. First off, the place is really nice. It is in a diverse area. Let get into the food, the thai tea and matcha tea is super sweet. The matcha milk tea was super sweet, but it was good. It actually very thick and i was kind of surprise. The eggroll is a basic appetizer. The spicy chicken wasnt spicy. It was really good, but not spicy. The bun bo hue was actually pretty good. I was super excited to see a Pho place pop up on Central Ave. This was a long time coming! The nearest authentic pho is all the way up in Spring Lake Park. The previous complaints about the interior seems to be fixed now, but it's still a neighborhood watering hole feel like the majority of Pho places in the city. It is no Hai Hai with their 1/2 million build-out. It's adequate, spacious, and inviting. The staff was courteous, attentive, and prompt. I ordered Bun Bo Hue, which is a Hue (it's a city in Vietnam) style spicy pork broth with beef, pork hock, meat pie, and Phoever did it right with the garnishes of mint, banana flower, basil, sprouts, and lime. I would rate the broth in the same league as other Suburban pho places like Pho Tan Phat, A Chau, and my favorite Pho 126. However, same with other reviewers their portion size is sorely lacking. You can see that my Bun Bo Hue bowl came half full to the table, which I was shocked considering they are charging a top price of $15 for the regular size. (They only offer one size in Bun Bo Hue.) Parking is either on the street, or a ramp around the back. I saw the sign out front about the ramp but the location of the ramp was not immediately apparent when I drove back there. Contrary to other reviewers I thought my bowl tasted just fine. It was actually above average. But the combination of the level of finish of the restaurant, portion size, inconvenient parking, and price, I thought a 4 star was fair. They do serve durian ice cream! But it's a whopping $16!!! I wish they had given more than one packet of sauces. They should have at least asked. Not even utensils or napkins too. The egg rolls were under cooked and over priced. Go for the pho NOT the egg rolls. Not worth the price. Overall decent and I'll go back and check out more things to update this review and maybe give more stars. I ordered their five spice wings (A6) and taro milk tea. The five spice wings are some of the best wings I've had! I order wings every place I go to and these have a perfect warm spice blend, great crispy texture, and are served with a really great sautéed vegetable garnish. My Pad Thai was probably the best I've had in the Twin cities, served temperature hot with excellent fresh ingredients (even the lime was perfect!) Everyone was welcoming and nice. But the most important part: the food. This is why I'm giving them 2/5 starts. My husband got P1, A5 Wagyu Pho and I got P3, Rare Beef and Meatball Pho. Because my husband is a Vietnamese American, we've tried plenty Pho places everywhere, both in MN and in other states. This is BY FAR the most BLEND broth we've ever had. My husband's wagyu pho came with good amount of meat and the quality of wagyu was legit. Broth- still blend though. However, my regular P3 pho was very sad. It only had 3 pieces of thinly sliced meet and 2 meat balls. :( Broth was very blend to the point where after I ate all the meat (which didn't take too long), it felt like I was eating noodles with warm water. Went to try this place on their grand opening day, the servers were so sweet and efficient. Avocado smoothie was bomb it was definitely fresh and also creamy. My son loved the limeade. The wings were nice and crispy. I got the broken rice platter and the pork had a lot of flavor to it. My boyfriend got the pho and liked it!
