We were kept waiting for 15 minutes without a single acknowledgment despite being passed by servers. My son and I were the only people waiting to be helped. I went to the bar to ask for help and received a frosty email friendly response to "Go get table 8." Like I was a hired member of the waitstaff. Smelly unclean restaurant. The bad attitude and unhygienic environment convinced me and my son to not risk our health, mental and otherwise eating here and we chose to leave. I wouldn't eat here is the food was free. I have never been in such a stinky unclean environment. Super odiferous and grimy. Yuck! We won't be back.

It's "PHO" REAL! Before I go on, I am only specificly talking about what I ordered to eat and doesn't encompass the other menu meals. I ordered the H4. HU TIEU NAM VANG, which translates to SHRIMP AND SLICED PORK WITH RICE AND NOODLES for $15.50. Bowl of soup came out large. Soup liquid was sweet and tasty, contents of noodles out wayed the contents of pork and shrimp (basically a glob of noodles) I was actually a little disappointed with my meal. A bowl of that description should have been equivalent to the price. There was just 3 shrimps and maybe 3 very thin strips of pork and a big pork bone floating around in there like it fell in accidentally? I couldn't finish it. *Bathrooms: Were clean and there was one for men and one for women. *Parking: Ample but shared with other establishments in a small mall. *Waiters: pleasent and attentive. PHO 99 has a modern interior with plenty of tables, booths and natural lighting coming in, also a few large TVs on the walls (thankfully not blaring with shows while I was there). Restaurant is conveniently tucked in the back past a Asian Supermarket and Salon. I think "PHO" someone looking "PHO" a decent Authentic Vietnamese Restaurant to eat, I "PHO" one might be back if I am passing through again. The Review Guru* Long Island NY

Pho 99 is my absolute favorite place in the city of Harrisburg to have pho! The broth is always nice and hot, the broth is the perfect consistency and super flavorful. The service is always attentive and friendly, however if it is a busier time just give them some grace and be patient. I promise their pho is worth the wait! The ambiance is lively, there's always traditional music playing, theres a fish tank full of colorful fish swimming about, and even some machines to try your luck while waiting to be seated. I highly recommend the fried shrimp rolls & hot coffee with cream and sugar as well. Can't wait for my next visit to this gem.

Some of the best pho I've had. Tucked in the Asia Mall is an unassuming little place with a large menu including several varieties of pho, bahn mi, udon noodles, stir fry. I ordered the pho with round steak and got an order that was incorrect. The staff corrected it right away which I appreciated. We both ordered the large and I was so full I had to get a to go container. My boyfriend finished his!

Authentic Vietnamese restaurant, good food and excellent service. Place is clean and tidy plus the decorative portraits depicts the roots of the owners. As I always ask why most Vietnamese restaurants have numbers? The most common answer is that it opened on that year. Pho 99, located in Asia Mall in Harrisburg, PA. Place is packed with a lot of take out orders being made too. You'll see people waiting for their orders and they do ordered a lot too. Which means they have delicious affordable foods. The owners are very nice too. Going from one table to another table asking how's everything? Customers are all smiling and nodding their head while eating. We're satisfied plus the price is really affordable and competitive. Servings are big and yummy.

It was a gloomy day and I wanted Pho, but wanted to try a new restaurant. I've heard about Pho 99 from a few people and decided to give them a try. The place was clean and I felt comfortable eating there. As I entered, I was told to sit anywhere. Once I sat down, the waiter brought the menu and gave me a few minutes to make my decision. I ordered the pho with steak and shrimp. It was tasty but I think I'll stick to my regular shrimp.

Have to visit Harrisburg PA every a couple of months. One of my top 3 favorite cuisines is Vietnamese. Lo and behold there are more than a half dozen Vietnamese restaurants in Harrisburg plus a couple along route 22. Have been to Pho 99 about half dozen times, never disappointed. The place is clean and very unpretentious. It's located in The Asian Mall. There are a couple of Asian eateries, including a bakery and an Asian supermarket. Haven't tried any of the others but have visited the supermarket - very well stocked. Ok, have only few photos from last visit. This visit, had summer rolls and grilled pork - both delicious. The Banh Mi are very good, B1 & B2 are my favorites. Try any of the Pho. Go take your family on an adventure, you won't be disappointed and it will not break the bank.

Delicious LARGE bowl of brisket pho for $14. Amount of food for the price is hard to beat. The soup had a delicious stewed beef aroma. Brisket was tender and not chewy. Service was fast as expected for a pho place. Inside was a little dark and outdated but overall pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pho in this location. Location is a little sketch but this little food mall and parking lot seem relatively safe. Plenty of parking.

I was traveling with my family and we decided to have dinner here. The pho is pretty good here. I usually do not order brisket but after reading through other reviews of the tender beef, I had to give it a try. The broth was good too. It wasn't the best I've tasted but it was good. I will definitely come back again for the pho alone when I'm in the area. The employees are friendly and asked me how was the meal. They knew we were from town because we're not frequents there. I guess most of their customers are frequents there which says lots about the place.

Our family stopped in at Pho 99 after a trip back home from Hershey Park. It was a cold day, and we needed to warm up with some delicious pho. The service was friendly and quick. Although there were a couple of times we had to get up and ask for a fork or spoon, since we were seated towards the back of the restaurant and the staff were located by the bar and register, so they were not always checking on us. The reason I gave this place three stars was because the pho and the Bahn Mi were fine. However comparable to other Vietnamese restaurants that I have tried, the flavors were just average. The restaurant is located in a shopping center, with plenty of parking in the lot. The restaurant itself was very large and the restrooms were clean. Also there is plenty of seating for large parties. If we are ever in the area again, we may stop by since they have decent business hours.

Easily my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the area. I eat there once a week and the pho is excellent as well as the Banh mi's. The staff isn't overly friendly, but they do provide good service. The soft tendon is some of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend. read more

I ate supper at Pho 99 and i highly recommend it. The only reason I assigned it only 3 stars is because they serve an otherwise perfect beef stew with an oil slick. What? Yes; an oil slick -- just keep reading. The beef stew has bright notes of seasonings that makes it amazing and quite tasty. The several ingredients interact well together creating rich dynamic flavors that explode on your palate. Unfortunately, the decadence of this dish makes it the ultimate gut bomb. I could not fully indulge this luxurious Vietnamese dish for the fact that I had to way through the half-inch-deep layer of fat that lays on top of the stew like an oil slick permanently contained by the sides of the large bowl. Hey, Pho 99 chefs, or manager, or whomever; please skim the top of your wonderful stew to remove that nasty oily layer of fat. Yuck! In spite of the oil slick, this splendid stew is worth a try because the flavor of this hearty dish is heavenly, AND, the beef is soft and sumptuous, AND, we only live once! Right? Well, unless you embrace Hinduism, or Jainism, or Buddhism, or Sikhism, anywho, you get the point. While pho 99's presentation of their Vietnamese beef stew is average, it's distinctively pleasant aroma will activate your appetite before you put the first spoonful of egg or rice noodles (your choice) in your mouth; mmm... ooh... delicious. I don't have any picture proof but everything was beautiful and so DELICIOUS! The shrimp spring rolls, banh mi, udon chicken, you can't go wrong. Everything is freshly prepared and they bring it out as it is ready. It might not look like much but don't sleep on authenticity! Highly recommend!! read more

Where do I even start? The food is great, the staff are welcoming, the atmosphere is vibrant, and the owner is someone you can just sit down and talk with. The Pho at the place is tasty and cheap, hence the name 'Pho 99'. I also recommend the Shrimp Spring Roll wrapped in rice paper with peanut sauce. The baguette for the Bánh mì is always crisp; it tastes even better if you stick an order of Vietnamese ham inside! Pho 99 is and will always be my go-to place for some Vietnamese cuisine. :^) read more

Came here for a trip to Hershey Park with the family. The dining area was spacious and relatively clean and parking is plentiful. Ordered the Crab and Tomato Noodle Soup and the Bun Bo Hue (of the specials menu). I thoroughly enjoy the Crab and Tomato Noodle Soup and ask for shrimp paste to season the Bun Bo Hue. Rest of the table Pho and it was as expected. It's an authentic Vietnamese restaurant and did not disappoint. read more

Zero stars, they mix raw meat with cooked food in your pho soup. They placed the raw meat in with the cooked noodles , and vegetables and meat. Anything past this isn't valid! I would never ever recommend this place! They will get you sick and should definitely not be cross contaminating raw meat! Shame on them! read more

This place was replaced Pho Pasteur. New ownership, same delicious tasting food, new seating, wonderful service, and remodeled area. I've tried their entire menu and it still tastes delicious. You want real pho and authentic Vietnamese food? This is your place. I only eat here for Vietnamese food here for pho, noodle dishes, and rice dishes. I hail from Little Saigon and I've had food in Vietnam. This is as close as you're going to get on the East Coast. read more

Love love the beef Pho. These folks are very accommodating as the two times I've gone so far I have requested no noodles, no beef, no sprouts, just broth and spice. And Unsweet ice tea. I'm on a fast right now and am being "that" picky customer. The second time I visited the host asked if I wanted the Sam as before! I'll go again this coming week, and I'm sure I'll make it a regular spot. read more

I have never had Vietnamese food before, it was a first! I had their seafood noodles, pork spring roll, and fried quail! It was awesome. The spring roll was served with Asian pickled radish and carrots. The noodles were served with fresh mint, cilantro, jalapeños, and fresh bean sprouts. The fried quail was served in a sweet Asian sauce that was over the top. Had an awesome conversation with the owner, and couldn't recommend a better more hospitable place to dine and the atmosphere is second to none. Thank your for a wonderful evening. As a trucker I eat out a lot, this is now on the top of my to do list when in Harrisburg Pa. thank you again. I recommend when in Harrisburg, make sure you stop. This place is my go-to when I'm in the Harrisburg Area and craving a nice hot bowl of pho. Usually, I'll do takeout as I live quite a ways away, but. I'm sure some day I'll eat in. I ordered the Pho rib eye and spring rolls and husband got the spring rolls as well and a rice dish. The flavors were so vibrant and fresh! Pho came with the usual cilantro, bean sprouts, etc to customize to your liking. There was nothing left by the time I was done, even drank all the broth. The wife checked on us a few times and graciously bid us fairwell, saying to please come again soon. We saw the owner and his son in the parking lot and chatted with them and another patron who finished before us. Very down to earth family with so many stories to tell. I could talk to them all day. Looking forward to stopping by again to enjoy more of their amazing dishes!

The burger, nestled in a half rap of chef's paper, screamed at me the dive into, which I did immediately. A few minutes and a few pictures in, I questioned whether I could finish everything but as you can see from the final photograph it was really never in question. We had two dogs with us as we were rounding out a camping trip in nearby Halifax, and the staff was more than accommodating by bringing out a bowl of water for them. The restaurant itself is a sprawling campus featuring beautiful vintage architecture inside the main building, alongside a modernized covered patio for comfortable outdoor dining all year round. Service was excellent throughout our meal. We made these reservations a few weeks in advance for such a large party with animals, and they were completely ready for us when we arrived. The food was above average and exactly what I have come to expect from slightly upscale American brunch spots. I opted for the kitchen sink breakfast, which is rightfully named since it includes eggs, a thick slice of country ham, biscuit and gravy, and home fried potatoes. Everything was well prepared and really hit the spot after being outside for a few days of camping. I also split an order of the strawberry ricotta pancakes with my wife and was very impressed. When I realized I'd be just minutes away late Friday afternoon on one of the nicest days of the year so far, it felt like the perfect time to finally give it a shot. Friday afternoon, 74°, end of a long work week...this absolutely screamed "patio dinner," and Greystone delivered on that front! I arrived around 4:45pm and asked for patio seating, and was seated at a great table in full sun. The vibe was exactly what I was hoping for -- calm, quiet, and a really beautiful setting. When I got there, the patio was about one-third full, but by the time I left around 5:30pm, it had nearly emptied out. That said, I could definitely see this being a go-to spot when the weather is nice, so reservations are probably a smart move if you're aiming for patio seating. For my meal, I went with the shrimp salad wrap with a Caesar salad and a Diet soda. On paper, it sounded like a solid, light dinner option. In reality...it didn't quite hit for me. The shrimp salad was very mayo-heavy with minimal seasoning, and it was loaded with large chunks of celery (like...a lot of celery). The menu also indicated the wrap would include tomato but it didn't. The shrimp were left whole, which made it tough to eat as a wrap -- I ended up just picking out and eating the shrimp and leaving most of the wrap behind...along with what felt like an entire stalk of celery. Not exactly what I had in mind. Service also missed the mark a bit. My server checked in shortly after the food was delivered, but then disappeared for quite a while. I finished eating and waited about 20 minutes for my check, with both my Diet soda and water empty and no refill in sight before she eventually came back. My total came to $24.30 before tip, which put the experience right around $30 for one person, one cold wrap, one side salad and a Diet soda -- and for that price point, I was expecting something a little more elevated, both in food and service. Greystone definitely has the look of an upscale, country club-style dining experience. The space is beautiful, especially the patio, and the overall atmosphere is appealing. But right now, it feels like the execution isn't quite matching the vision. The food lacked that "oh my god this is GOOD" factor, and the service didn't support the price point. Also worth noting -- a few small maintenance details stood out, like a broken toilet paper dispenser laying in pieces in the women's restroom and loose floor tiles near the bar that shift when you step on them. Not dealbreakers, but noticeable in a space aiming for a more polished experience. Overall, Greystone is a great spot for the vibes -- especially on a sunny day -- but the food and service didn't quite live up to expectations for me. I'd come back for the patio, but I'd probably manage expectations (and maybe try something different on the menu next time).

Why? The opportunity to experience the live painting artwork by Bryan "Prolifik" Hickman, artist and creator of the Tuskegee Airman mural on the side wall of Coda Rouge. The added ambiance of Singer's Lounge, Phebe West, singing lovely, familiar tunes. And last but not least, the intimacy of meeting Coda Rouge chef, Sachiko Tashiana, who trained under renowned chef Wolfgang Puck.
