At first glance from the outside, the restaurant is very bright and hard to miss. The decor inside is clean and modest. But you're not here for ambiance - you're here for the incredibly friendly and prompt service and the delicious food. In a town that leaves much to be desired restaurant and quality-wise, Pho 99 is a needle in a haystack. My server was a woman with a big smile every time I saw her. The server at the table next to me was waiting on a very eager to socialize young man (he was a toddler) who knew exactly what he wanted (macaroni and cheese and French fries) and also to introduce everyone to his new friend, Mr. Pinecone. The server not only took the time to socialize with him, but she made the entire family feel at home. The food was amazing. This was my first visit. I first ordered hot tea and was brought a whole pot of jasmine loose tea. Then, I had the fresh pork and shrimp spring rolls - item A3 (made fresh as the noodles inside were still slightly warm, not made in advance and refrigerated). For my main course, I had a small P4 - Pho Tai Bo Vien, which comes with beef and meatballs. The soup was hot, the accompaniments were super fresh (typical green chile, basil, lime, and sprouts). The flavor was amazing and I left more than satisfied. Prices are also awesome. This is a great place for families or groups of friends. I'd even come on a date here, as there's not much to distract you from the conversation. It is small with maybe only 12 or 13 tables, and does not have fancy decor. But I hope they have a lot of good fortune and are able to stick around. I missed easy access to good pho, and this place definitely fits the bill. read more

We have been looking for a Chinese food place new a us and after looking at there menu decided that we oils go and try the orange chicken, general tso, and beef lo mein. Service was prompt, the restaurant was clean, but our water glass had lipstick on it from a previous customer... The food was just "fine" as there wasn't a lot of flavor to any of it. Delightful. Prices are outstanding for the portions of food you get. Had a bit of the Vietnamese cuisine and the Chinese cuisine (which they knocked out of the park). Definitely recommend. My daughter who is a regular connoisseur of Pho and she said that this restaurant has the best she has ever had. Very small place. We enjoyed the orange chicken as well. I'm updating my review after many visits here. First the positives, Pho is pretty good, fresh spring rolls are nice, the younger staff is very friendly and responsive. However, something is going on in the kitchen. Every time I have been back there is lots of arguing going on. I have witnessed the front staff get yelled at when asking for the food to be put out in a timely manner or correctly. Twice I have had my order completely messed up. I have witnessed several people picking up their order and cancelled it because it has taken so long. They seem to get flustered whenever there are more than 4 tickets in the window and everything stops and mistakes start dying out. I'll keep putting up with it only because my wife likes the Pho and I rather put up with their misgivings than her whining! read more

We usually come to Navarre twice a year. During this visit, we have found ourselves just burnt out on the typical "beach" joints. So for lunch today we decided to give Pho 99 a try. I was excited to try this place as I visited Navarre for a short vacation, especially because their menu includes Chinese food items. This was a carry out order. My kid ordered the sesame chicken and loved it except for the white rice that came with it was not good. I ordered the grilled pork bun and did not like it. They put a spice over the pork which was not pleasant and it was not caramelized by the grilling as I am used to it when eating at Vietnamese restaurants in other states. The vermicelli noodles also felt overcooked. I will not go back to that location and giving it two stars because the sesame chicken was the only thing good. read more

The pho here is really really good. Probably one of the best in the area. The reason I took a star is because they don't have AC or heat so you are sweating in the summer and freezing in the winter. The service is ok but if you go on a weekend then plan on waiting at least an hour or more for your food. I always go during the week and never have any problems. Would definitely recommend trying them out! read more

My new go to place for my Pho Soup fix! The server was very friendly, and offered to let me add anything I wanted in the soup (added carrots to chicken Pho). The broth was terrific and certainly hit the spot! My husband got the General Tso chicken and he liked it as well. The breading wasn't the typical overly thick and boggy coating. It was thin and tasty! The ambiance is not 5 star by any means but if the food tastes good, place looks clean and service is friendly, it's a win for us. Looking forward to going back! read more

I travel to Navarre 2-3 times a year for it's beautiful beach. It's a small restaurant with dim lights. After waiting a good while, the server finally came over but rushed us to order. I was slightly confused because there was at most, 2 other tables in there? Anyways, we tried a number of things off the menu. The pho broth was decent but came with very little vegetables. The egg rolls were anorexic, lacking flavor. For $13, the shrimp/broccoli came with large loads of broccoli with a small 4-5 pieces of shrimp. It also includes an egg drop soup (store bought would've been better) and a egg roll. Not worth it imo. Although we did order, we did not know it was the restaurant's mistake when we were brought too many egg rolls, halfway into eating them, she then runs over to take them back, but proceeded to charge us. Excited to discover a Vietnamese restaurant in Navarre area, but sadly let down. First and will be the last impression. The food was not authentic, merely a 4.5/10 on my scale, and don't expect good service when you come. read more

This place was a disappointment. I placed a to go order. I ordered cha gio (Vietnamese egg rolls) which is supposed to be served with nuoc mam (fish sauce) but it was served with sweet and sour sauce. It was very upsetting as I was looking forward to authenticity. Second I order pho tai chin (which is two different meats round steak and brisket). I only got one meat that looked like ground beef. Huge disappointment as well. Lastly, every time you order to go they put sriracha sauce and hoisin sauce in your bag which they failed to do. FIRST RESTAURANT THAT HAS DRAWN ME TO WRITE A REVIEW: Each dish we ordered to compliment our pho was as amazing as the pho we so loved and slurped down to the last sip. We had the egg rolls (2) separate orders, combo fried rice, and large bowls of Pho soup. Food was amazing but the most impressive part came when we pulled away and realized that we had walked in minutes before closing time and remained eating until 25 min after normal closing. Pho'99 is in competition with Samurai for the best Asian food in Navarre. While the majority of Asian cuisine has largely gone downhill in quality Pho'99 is more like home cooking than frozen food. The sweet and sour chicken is lightly breaded, not the heavy breading you find at other "cookie-cutter" Chinese food places. The fried rice is actually fried rice with vegetables and egg not just colored rice. The cost is reasonable in comparison with other restaurants especially considering the quality of food. This is a small hole in the wall type of restaurant so it is not fancy inside at all. I love these type of mom and pop places, but I will say that I think some minor improvements would change it from a bit run down to maybe a little more shabby chic. Having said that, the food was really good. My husband and I shared the cream cheese wontons for an appetizer and they were probably the best I've ever had - crisp, light and flavorful. My husband had the honey chicken which he liked and I had the pho which was wonderful.
