My wife and I tried this gem in the Fairfax shopping center for lunch today. We both love phó. The restaurant is EXTREMELY clean. They are strictly following Covid regulations. I had filet phó. My wife had plain noodle phó. We shared a spring roll appetizer. Everything came out piping hot. Due to Covid, you have to ask for condiments. Stopped here during a long drive. We got a bahn mi and chicken pho. The bahn mi was the best I've had! And the pho was really really good. One of the waiters came over to our table and explained the proper way to eat the pho which made the experience so much more enjoyable. I hate to write this review and giving them a 1 star. The food was great, soup, spring roll and vietnamies hoagie. With all the precautions that we are taking to void covid, a worker was sitting there sneezing and coughing the whole time without a mask on. My husband and I felt very uncomfortable and told the manager that she should be sent home. In short, we left a $20 tip and left. The manager comp our lunch so thank you for that. read more

We've probably been here four or five times since they opened. And every time the service and food has been amazing. Coming from Philly where there are many pho places, I have to rate this place with all the stars possible. Their broth is damn near perfect, the meat is always cooked well and is tender, their Vietnamese iced coffee is strong and the banh mi is tasty and well-filled. We have not run across any dishes that we disliked. Believe me, we have tried many off of their menu. Due to COVID 19 I haven't dined out in months, however I was doing some shopping and me and my boyfriend wanted some pho and banh mi's. We had seen signs of this place opening in early July and we just needed to try it out. I am super impressed! The banh mi has so much flavor and the bread was so crunchy and light has it should be. Amazing pho, for the pho dac biet, savory soup. I had the ba vi, which is a summer roll that you make yourself pretty much with veggies, the meats provided. The banh mi there is big and really tasty, I always get the special combination and that includes the meats and veggies such as carrots, jalapeños, cucumber, etc. the breads what makes it even better. They gave us fried wontons on the house which was a great plus. I really wanted to try out the pho ga, which is the chicken pho but they ran out. Definitely be out there again to try. My second visit yesterday to this new restaurant to get take out. Took the advice of other yelpers (thanks so much) and ordered the Bami with pork twice. Delicious and large enough for two of us. If you don't like it a bit spicy, you may wish to ask to have spicy spread on the side. We also ordered the spring rolls twice which were super yummy. Realized the second time we were to wrap them with the lettuce and pickled vegetables and dip in fish sauce. I will ask them to add a bit of mint for the wrap next time (discovered at another Vietnamese restaurant). Ordered the Pho with filet which came in three separate containers: 1. soup 2. noodles & bag of raw filet 3. bean sprouts, onion, spicy pepper slices , basil. No instructions. I cooked the filet in the broth for a bit too long and it got slightly chewy. I added the other ingredients minus several of the peppers. It was very tasty! My mom went today and ordered the lotus salad and said it was wonderful as well. Missing one star due to COVID-19 precautions at the restaurant, I remain wary. My first visit they allowed an older gentleman to come in and sit at a table with no mask. The second time, the young man who helped get my order pulled his mask down to speak with me several times (behind partition) during our interaction. I must say, I will not even consider eating at a restaurant due to a high risk family member. I will speak to the manager before I return to make sure masks are indeed being required by staff & patrons alike. I want to be able to continue to enjoy this new terrific restaurant. Just tried take out here for the first time. It was authentic af and really good. Portions are huge (have a ton of fresh herbs ON the stem which was cool) and staff was so sweet and smiley. Also extremely good at social distancing and pandemic safety (contactless drop for pick up). Inside looked nice and fun w lights that were v cool. Support this local business!!!! If you miss Nam Son from Philly at 16th and Washington, this is your place! In fact it is the same owner! I was looking for a good Pho/Banh Mi place since I started my new job in Delaware back in January and finally made it here (in October, lol). As I sat eating my Pho Dac Biet (which was phenomenal!) I kept saying to myself, this guy looks really familiar but it is hard to tell under the covid mask. Sure enough, it is the former owner of Nam Son! Every bit as friendly as you remember from Philly. As for the food: I had the Pho Dac Biet. The broth was very good! Nice and clear and smooth but not too light. Great flavor! And the ingredients (rare steak, flank, Viet Meatballs, tendon, tripe) were just right and the Pho noodles were plentiful. The best Pho I've had in years! My friends and I decided to road trip to Florida from Massachusetts for our spring break. While in delaware we needed to stop and try pho bami to enjoy some amazing Vietnamese food. We had the most delicious steamed dumplings as well as an array of extraordinary traditional meals cooked to perfection. We also had some of the smoothies & boba which left all of us speechless with how delicious they were! It doesn't stop at the food; the entire staff was super friendly and welcoming! If we weren't sure about what to get they helped us. Further, the cleanliness and ambiance of the entire establishment was impeccable. I've tried pho from lots of places and this one is hit or miss. Sometimes the broth has flavor and sometimes it doesn't. A few months ago I go, and and dine in. I sat there for a while and then someone that they knew came in. They went right to their table and chatted with them, so I got up and was like excuse me. To start we had: summer rolls with shrimp and pork (the owner Tone showed us how to wrap them, it was so fun and interactive), fried chicken, which was so crispy and delicious, vegetable spring rolls, were also crisp and exploding with flavor! For our entrees: 3 of us got Pho, it smelled AMAZING, and tasted the same with the beef broth infused with distinctives flavors of ginger which gave it a nice spice to it, so flavorsome! The other members of our party had: Broken Chicken with rice and vegetables, with a light tasty sauce, & Spicy rice noodles with pork, with a nice heat to it! Their takeout is on point. Perfectly packaged, especially their pho soup. Everything I have ordered has been amazing and I find myself calling them more than once a week lol. Their pho broth is probably one of the best I've had, and their meat is not chewy like in some other places. It's tender and flavorful, even the well done flank and the fatty brisket. Their banh mi sandwiches are large with great bread and super flavorful. The boba in the bubble tea is fresh and not chewy. I highly recommend and have ordered twice just this weekend. Over the last twenty years, the wife and I have eaten in every kind of Vietnamese place, from the Tonkin Delta to the Ca-Mau peninsula, from fancy restaurants and hotels to curbside push-carts and shoulder poles, and we can tell you that Wilmington's own Pho Bami is the real deal, very authentic! We are very pleasantly surprised to find a Vietnamese place right here in Delaware that still makes (mostly) southern Vietnamese dishes in the old fashioned, downhome style--and serves them in generous portions with all the correct vegetables, peppers, etc. We have only eaten takeout and delivery due to the pandemic, and we have never met the staff in person or entered the inside of the restaurant, but they are very polite and helpful over the phone and never try to rip you off. read more
