(+) Much like the original location, they have some of the best banh mi sandwiches in town. The taste of their food is consistent and you know what to expect. (+) Prices are reasonable. (+) [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is neat and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] (+) Service was attentive as they turned down the AC after they saw our kids were shivering. (+) Unlike the original location, it is not as busy and I've never had to wait for seating. We typically go to the Hwy 6 location as we live closer to that side of town, but if I lived closer to Telfair I would definitely come to this one more.

Been here a few times now and love it every time! I usually get pho with beef but this time I tried the dark chicken meat. There was soo much chicken, I couldn't eat it all :) [[HIGHLIGHT]]Always love coming here and I love the wall - it has fun facts about Vietnam and the language.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Beef Banh Mi

I LOVE Pho Ben's beef banh mi. Yesterday we ordered from Justa Pho & were so disappointed. The banh mi at Pho Ben are so much better. Double the beef & veggies from the other place. Much bigger loaf. Even the fish sauce is better. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant vibe is better, too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Both places have great service. I've been coming to Pho Ben since they opened & I can't believe I've never left a review. Trying to think of any negatives - I guess the shaken beef isn't my favorite here & I didn't like the pork banh mi as much as the beef. The fried egg rolls are absolutely delicious but the portion of one order is small. Each order is only enough for one person so if you're with a date or your family make sure you get more than one order - which I believe is $5.50 for 1 & a half egg rolls. Even if I want the egg rolls it makes it hard to justify spending money on a tiny portion & not a whole sandwich instead. Anyways, I love my faves from here so much they 5 stars from me anyways!

Shaking beef

Shaking beef was very poorly done. No char what so ever and very bland. Tasted like half sautéed beef that was on low fire. Shaking beef is not like this. $19 for this is a straight rip off.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean restaurant and yummy viet food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The meat has a traditional taste to it and was delicious. Portion sizes are big and reasonable prices!

Came with my husband for a quick dinner post Costco visit. He ordered a pork banh mi and I got the number 16 pho. My husband said do NOT order the banh mi's from here.. he gives it a 2/5. He said the pork was good and flavorful (a bit over charred) but the bread and veggies were not good. The bread was not toasted and very hard. The veggies had no flavor and did not taste pickled. The pho broth was good but the noodles were on the harder side. The beef flanks were overcooked and chewy.. I have been going to the highway 6 location for years as I grew up in Sugarland but this location was alright. Would probably not come back to this location. the service was quick and server was super attentive. restaurant had a good amount of seating. we came on a friday night around 5:30 and it was pretty packed but was still able to get sat immediately.

I visited Houston for the weekend on a cold rainy day Pho Ben was phenomenal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was extremely fast and it was packkeeed out and line out the door.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My biggest take away from Pho Ben was the white meat chicken pho which is one if the items I ordered. The CHICKEN HAD FLAVOR and i loved it. Most pho I've had is just plain unflavored which i don't mind but Pho Ben just opened my taste buds to a whole new level.

Shrimp and egg roll bun and kid's beef noodle soup

Everything was great and service was fast. My bun with shrimp and an egg roll was tasty. My child's beef noodle soup was mostly noodles and my son likes broth. It was still a good deal. Egg roll was delicious and we drank his soda.

Food always comes out quick and hot. Staff is fast paced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is usually kept clean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], [[HIGHLIGHT]]I go here a lot with my family.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Bun Bo Hue - it's good but I don't think it's authentic.

I swear it's just one really long hand made noodle, so it's a bit hard to share, but it's a must-get. We also tried the Claypot noodle and it was good as well but a bit of an acquired taste. The restaurant is located inside Jusgo grocery store. The seating is quite limited so I wouldn't recommend it for large parties. And it's pretty mom and pop, so if that's your jam, go for it. Chairs are mismatched, drinking water is somewhat self-service in small cafeteria-style plastic cups, and tables are small. Like I said - mom and pop, and that's not a bad thing. It's just not exactly a place where you would have a nice business meeting. Service was ok - nothing to note. You pay at the cashier which is like 2 feet from where you ate. Yes, it's a small space. Overall - I love this place and will keep coming back.

When you pickup your food, the sit down area is dark, and there isn't much of a waiting area. It looks to be run by two folks, the cook and the cashier. It is probably best to order over the app, as the one cashier is busy packing the food in the fancy packaging and dealing with the money transactions. Since it is only two people, it can be slow to get your food when it is busy. I waited an additional 20 mins from the projected time it was suppose to be done. As for the food, the miso ramen was packed in this fancy box. The box contained the soup separated from the noodles with a few side dishes. I believe this is the only vegi ramen they offer. It is nothing special. The broth is basically miso soup with soy sauce. (2 out of 5) The cold sesame noodles was better. It had more flavor. (4 out of 5) The Salt & Pepper Chicken was good (4.5 out of 5). I couldn't help eating it while in the car, as it smelled so good. The Braised Pork over rice was decent. It was cut up thick pork belly, braised in an Asian brown sauce. The flavoring was a little one sided. (3 out of 5). I'm giving this place an overall 3 stars because the food isn't something to rave about. Packaging and presentation were great, but tastes was more important to me.

I have passed by their restaurant many times, but it never occurred to me to go in until one day I was surprised to see them ranked in the top 100 ramen places nationally on Yelp! With less than 300 reviews, I was skeptical at first but was intrigued to give it a try, and I'm so glad that I did! I visited on a Friday afternoon right before New Year's and was greeted warmly by the staff inside. As I was indecisive on what to order in the ramen section, I asked the staff for suggestions. She was kind to walk me through the menu without rushing to get an order, and she mentioned that their most popular item is actually the beef noodles. That was all I needed to make a decision to try the beef noodles. While waiting for the food, I chatted with the staff and learned that the restaurant opened right before the pandemic then shifted their model to take-out only as the pandemic begin. Since then, they've tried to make use of their restaurant space to return to dine-in but it has been difficult to find reliable workers. In the interest of keeping the quality consistent and customers happy, they've decided to make sacrifices to keep the business model as is for take-out only instead of scaling up with additional staff, which is such a shame given the rent in the area is not cheap and they have such a beautiful space! When you hear "take-out only", I know what you're thinking, BUT I promise you this is the best takeout food you will ever have! The packaging is very well-designed to keep the flavors and ingredients at its finest! As I mentioned, I ordered the beef noodles, and typically noodle dishes are not ideal for takeout, but Asia Blue separates the soup from the noodles so that the noodles are not soggy, and even after half hour, the soup stayed warm and flavorful. The noodles also came paired with many mini side dishes as palate cleansers, which were a nice surprise. From my conversation with the staff, I've also learned that this is one of the rare places that truly make their broth fresh from premium ingredients! You can be sure that it's MSG free and packed with healthy nutrients, and that's a quality that you can taste. I highly recommend this place for your next ramen adventure, and I certainly will be returning again very soon to try the other menu items. :)

My favorites were the bulgogi gimbap, eggroll (tiny rolled egg omelette), and chicken wings! They come out super hot - loved them all. The hot buffet bar was not filled at all, some were even just empty. I found it disappointing that we didn't get to try a lot of their items. The staff looked very presentable and were attentive, yet also gave us space to look over the menu and eat. Speaking of the menu, I really enjoyed checking items off of a paper menu, it felt very old-school. I was there with my parents, and we decided to get a couple entrees to split family-style. We got ban ban noodles, yibin noodles, pork and crab dumplings, a breadier kind of dumpling which I think had pork in it, a scallion pancake, a beef pancake roll, and chrysanthemum tea. All were delicious, no complaints. My favorites were definitely the bready meat dumpling, it just melted in your mouth, and the yibin noodles. I also really enjoyed the chrysanthemum tea; they delivered a big pot and several cups, and there was enough in the pot to fill each of our cups three or four times.
