I LOVE Pho Ben's beef banh mi. Yesterday we ordered from Justa Pho & were so disappointed. The banh mi at Pho Ben are so much better. Double the beef & veggies from the other place. Much bigger loaf. Even the fish sauce is better. The restaurant vibe is better, too. Both places have great service. I've been coming to Pho Ben since they opened & I can't believe I've never left a review. Trying to think of any negatives - I guess the shaken beef isn't my favorite here & I didn't like the pork banh mi as much as the beef. The fried egg rolls are absolutely delicious but the portion of one order is small. Each order is only enough for one person so if you're with a date or your family make sure you get more than one order - which I believe is $5.50 for 1 & a half egg rolls. Even if I want the egg rolls it makes it hard to justify spending money on a tiny portion & not a whole sandwich instead. This is my go-to Pho Ben spot. It's conveniently located across from Costco, which I frequent weekly. Can't think of a place to go, Pho Ben it is! One of the main reasons why this restaurant is on the top of my list is because they tend not to use MSG and they accommodate my soy food sensitivities. The predominant flavoring is fish sauce - yay!!! Good, cozy ambiance. I like their booths. They are so great at greeting you the moment you walk in. They run a highly efficient business. The menus come as your getting seated, they take your order in a few minutes and your meal comes out shortly. It's fast food service but for great quality meals. They also have kids meals too. My go to pho choices: Combo chicken pho Number 18 and 30 Vietnamese coffee for the spouse You can pay up at the register once you are done and they have a rewards system. Spend $100, you get $10 off which could be used at this location or highway 6. Tip: For some reason, the prices here are just a tad lower than the location on Highway 6. Pho Ben and Triple S. Amazing place for some great food with very very fast service. When I say fast, I mean FAST! They will get your order in less than a minute so make sure you know what you want! The pho here is honestly always delicious, my go to #34 the white meat chicken pho has always been my favorite. Unfortunately today I had a very disappointing experience and felt almost taken advantage of by the staff. In my special instructions I put to please add an extra cup of broth as I am sick and the broth is very beneficial to my stomach. When I dine in the cup costs $1-$1.50, for 2 cups of broth the restaurant had the audacity to charge me NINE extra dollars and when I called to ask why they tried to say that the extra $7-6 were due to taxes??? Came with my husband for a quick dinner post Costco visit. He ordered a pork banh mi and I got the number 16 pho. My husband said do NOT order the banh mi's from here.. he gives it a 2/5. He said the pork was good and flavorful (a bit over charred) but the bread and veggies were not good. The bread was not toasted and very hard. The veggies had no flavor and did not taste pickled. The pho broth was good but the noodles were on the harder side. The beef flanks were overcooked and chewy.. I have been going to the highway 6 location for years as I grew up in Sugarland but this location was alright. I visited Houston for the weekend on a cold rainy day Pho Ben was phenomenal. The service was extremely fast and it was packkeeed out and line out the door. My biggest take away from Pho Ben was the white meat chicken pho which is one if the items I ordered. The CHICKEN HAD FLAVOR and i loved it. This place is huge! This is my first sit down meal in Texas so I was shocked the size of this restaurant, this is twice or triple size of Vietnamese restaurants that you will see in NJ. The interior decoration is trendy, the restaurant is very clean and the price is very reasonable and the service is very quick and efficient. The food tastes good, we do enjoy the rolls and my husband also likes his pho. I ordered bun Bo hue that I found it tastes very different than what I have in NYC China town so I am not sure if it's really authentic. However, it doesn't taste bad at all. We saw the great reviews for this place and had to try it. Amazing. The Banh Mi Thit Nuong sammy, french bread with chargrilled porky goodness, I got extra pork and a fried egg....it was tasty down to the last bite. I enjoyed an authentic Vietnamese iced coffee drink with condensed milk....some assembly required....they bring out a glass cup with the sweet milk inside and a small drip coffee maker on top of it, the coffee sits as a seperate layer on top of the milk, take the coffee top off and stir up the concoction before pouring it over a cup of ice....yum! My wife enjoyed her egg noodle soup with wontons....Mi Hoanh Thanh....we will be back for more goodies. read more

I have to say that I come here quite often and it's more for convenience than anything. Is the pho good? It's alright for what it is but nothing mind blowing. The sandwiches are so so mainly because they don't serve it with pate. It almost makes or break the banh mi along with the garlic aioli and not a sub of garlic mayo. I've stayed away from the rice dishes for a long time, they aren't that great either. So why the 4 stars? I live nearby, so this is the only decent option in terms of viet food that's doesn't require a trip to bellaire. I had been going to this location for a year, but the manager is straight up rude af. Asked if she had a side of leeks, which isn't an uncommon request for a pho restaurant and had ordered several times before at this location. She denied it and when she came back with the correct order, she had a huge attitude because she was proven wrong. I don't go to this location even if it's convenient. i'd rather drive 25 minutes to pho dien than be treated like trash. Im not alone. Read the other reviews. Manager needs to go. read more
