A hidden gem. The food here is excellent and yummy- licious. The pork buns have thin skins unlike other places. The chive cakes are fried so well with lots of chives. Highly recommended. I had been eyeing this place for quite some time since its first location appeared in Chinatown. I noticed this location when shopping at the Jusgo supermarket. Came back with another to give it a try. They were fairly empty. I wasn't quite brave enough to try the duck blood soup this time, so I went for the house special beef tripe hot pot. My dining partner ordered one of their sour pickled cabbage soups with beef. When mine came out, I was a bit disappointed. The pictures all show a giant slab of intestines. What was in my soup was barely any of it, and shredded up like in pho. Boo. There was a thin layer of chili oil present on top. I ordered a level three spicy level, and it was definitely spicy and burning, but in a good way. Though able to handle the spice level, I would probably go down one level next time. My dining partner's soup was super duper sour, though according to her, not bad and authentic with the super sour taste. There was plenty of leftovers to take home. I've come here a few times for lunch when I wanted something tasty and fast. It is a small corner restaurant tucked inside of Jusgo in Sugar Land across from Mamak. There is very limited seating here but I have come with a group of six before and was able to be seated. Ordering is fairly straightforward with a few options and a create your own noodle section on the menu. I tried the Fish Fillet & Tomato Noodle the first time and although I went against my instincts of ordering something spicy, this had a very good flavor for not being spicy. It was an excellent dish to warm up my body on a cool winter day. The next time I came here, I ordered the Beef Tripe Hot Pot Noodle. I liked this one even more. Very spicy just like I like it! This one made me sweat. There is not a lot to say other than this is a solid place to enjoy a quick casual meal. It's a place to come in, expect quick service, eat and be on your way. Located right next to Jusgo in Sugar Land, inside of the mall. It is super convenient to grab your to-go order or sit down to have a quick meal after you finish your grocery shopping here. Food is ready within 10 minutes or less, service is great, and I love they added more varieties lately (rice dishes and noodles). The staff is from Chengdu, and I hear him speaking in Chengdu dialect with the chef too, you know it is authentic Sichuan food. The flavors of the dishes speak the authenticity itself as well. We have tried their rice dishes, hot pot noodles and mini hot pot, iced jelly, everything taste straight from Chengdu. Stepped into the restaurant and I could immediately smell the aromatic chili in the air which whet my appetite. Food came out fast and piping hot. I absolutely love the food here. Portion is generous and soup is flavorful. I had the pickled cabbage and beef belly noodles. Super yummy. The noodles are not spicy so I will be back to try the beef tripe hot pot noodle which has five chilies rating. Bingfen is delicious without being sweet. Very surprised by this little joint inside the JUSGO! I've had true chongqing noodles in chongqing and have never found anything comparable- this comes pretty close! Noodles are springy and flavors and lovely, very ma La and savory. Beef is super flavorful, only criticism is there isn't enough of the beef. Just a few small pieces. I got the beef noodle soup, which was 2 spiciness and I told them less spicy. We couldn't finish the dish because it was so spicy. The zhajian Mian was 1 spiciness and we also told them less spicy and it was decent. The noodle is different than your typical noodles. The noodle is more like a vermicelli kinda noodle and I'm not a big fan of it. However, I do see that many people like that kind of noodle. I also see that they have cute little to go containers. Overall, this is a new place inside the new Jusgo plaza in Sugarland and I would recommend to at least try it! Things could not go any worse with this restaurant. They don't give a damn on what service or food they provide. We ordered 4 noodles for pick up through DoorDash. Store confirmed the receiving of order within 5 minutes. When we arrived at the scheduled time, they waited till then to start cooking (and there was only one other customer almost done eating in the store). When we got the food 15 minutes later, we found out that only 2 out of 4 were given to us. We immediately returned to ask for the other 2. After waiting another 5 minutes, we got the rest. Got home and started eating, only to find out that there was another problem. The super spicy soup base was used to cook the fish, while the beef tripe was cooked with the tomato soup base. They mixed up the soup base and ingredients. Due to allergy and spicy-intolerance, both of those noodles could not be eaten. And those two were the more expensive mini hot pot noodles! Finally had the chance to try Chongqing. I've heard a lot of great things about this place, especially for their Duck Blood Hot Pot noodles. My wife and I ordered the Duck Blood Hot Pot and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the dish was. After that, we started to go to this place every day or every other day and sometimes we even wanted to order a second bowl of the noddles once we finished the first one. We could not believe it but it is true. I was trying to stop my wife from going there because I would like to try some other places but I cannot even stop myself from thinking about their noddles every day.
