Good afternoon. I love going to pho king which is a Vietnamese eatery close to my house. The food is tasty, healthy, fresh, made with love and very good portions. Everything I have tried for las past 7 months has been delicious. The place is pretty, calm, welcoming and very clean. The service is great and the owner Tracy is very sweet and personable. I want to post 2 different reviews that will support this amaizing new business be successful Here are two different review options you can post: Review 1: Warm and Personal I've been coming to Pho King regularly for the past 7 months, and every single visit has been fantastic. The food is always fresh, flavorful, healthy, and served in generous portions. Everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious, and it's clear that every dish is prepared with care and attention. The restaurant itself is beautiful, calm, welcoming, and exceptionally clean, making it a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a meal. The service is consistently outstanding, and Tracy, the owner, is one of the kindest and most personable people you'll ever meet. She truly makes every guest feel valued and appreciated. Worst pho award. Don't believe the high ratings on this restaurant. I couldn't even eat it. Broth is disgusting. I have been sick and wanted comfort food. This place did not give me that. So, I'm not too sure what happened but I went a couple of days ago to grab a couple of Bahn Mi sandwiches, grilled pork. Meat was ice cold. Not I made the sandwich 15 minutes ago and now it's cooled down and it's luke warm..nope, ice cold. I called to speak to them and they said that it was because it had been made 10 minutes before I got there and also they had the bag at the front desk where the temperature was cold. Food here is definitely not what it used to be and I'm hoping this was a one time occurrence, but would like to know if this has happened to anyone else. There was no offer to fix, compensate or replace my order, so I'm not sure that I'll be racing back. read more

Okay first the service is excellent. Super friendly. Answered my questions and gave husband a little soup broth to eat...he got rice with shrimp & pork. The meat is SUPER flavorful. Seriously I could just get a big bowl of the pork and I'd be in hog heaven. I had the pork wonton soup with noodles (1/2 & 1/2). The pork broth is a family recipe. It is absolutely divine! Flavorful but subtle & delish! I can't imagine ordering anything g else, I loved it that much. The spring rolls were fresh and tasty. The pork is my favorite. I'll get it every time! So basically, we have now found our favorite Vietnamese soup restaurant. The restaurant is super clean, the staff are all helpful, friendly & happy. The food...superb. Had high hopes for this place but the food was not that good. Don't get the coconut juice. It tasted weird and I could barely drink it. I ordered the chicken rice plate for my kids and the chicken was bland and dry. Not like the grilled chicken you get at normal viet restaurants. The color and taste was different. Relatively new pho place for me in the Richmond area, well one of the few that you can count on your fingers on one hand. Though they have been opened for some time already. Menu is just on one side and very standard Vietnamese food though it doesn't taste like standard pho. A bit pricey but worth for the very clean and fresh pho taste. The restaurant is super spacious and clean. The waiter is also very nice and attentive. I'll be back again if I am in the area. read more

Absolutely one of the best pho places in Houston. I come here pretty regularly, at least once a week if I can help it, and they are always so kind and courteous. I'm a regular at other pho places like Pho Ben and Pho Saigon - if you like those, you'll love this place. It's a different flavor, but it's absolutely delicious. Once you have it, you'll be hooked. Pho Tai, it's just rare meat and tons of noodled goodness. The noodles are perfectly cooked and always firm, the broth is delicious, and the meat is beautifully tender. Pro tip, put a little hoisin on the veggie plate and dip your meat in that rather than adding it to the pho directly. Perfection! The owner is wonderful and a very gracious host, the staff are very attentive but not overwhelming, and the atmosphere hits just the right notes of bright but calming. Outside of the pho, I have only tried the egg rolls, but those were by far and above the best egg rolls I've had at any restaurant ever. Yes, bold statement, but I stand by it. They are delicious, and the sauce is to die for. Always incredibly hot and fresh when they are brought out, literally made to order. It's a small, family owned, incredibly good Vietnamese spot that cooks up some of the best food I've had in this city. If you're in the area, I absolutely recommend a stop in. I even made this Yelp account to write this review! That's how good they are! As their shirts say, this place is "pho king awesome", and they deliver ever bit of that promise. I ordered a medium brisket pho and a medium wonton noodle soup (D2 on the menu). The picture on the menu looked completely different from what I received, and I was really disappointed. The wonton noodle soup came with yellow noodles, small pork wontons, and boiled shrimp and pork. For some, this might be a plus, but I found it off-putting--I just wanted a simple wonton noodle soup, not one with a seafood taste, which I didn't enjoy at all. When I mentioned it to the waitress, she said they add shrimp and pork, even though it's not in the picture. I was shocked--what if I had been allergic to shrimp? She didn't offer to replace it, and my husband, being too kind, ate it and gave me his pho brisket instead. Even that lacked flavor. I won't be coming back to this place. read more

We are pho snobs and were super excited to try a new place close-ish to our house. We had the beef and chicken pho and a grilled pork bahn mi sandwich. The chicken pho broth was delicious. The beef broth was too heavy on the cinnamon in our opinion. Sandwich was tasty but a lil shy on the pork. We will be back for chicken pho broth but will pass on the beef broth unless recipe changes. Pho King horrible. Please do not take my word for it and try it out for your self. Probably my worst experience at a Vietnamese restaurant. We came about lunch time. It was not busy. The host/server cleaned the table and wiped the leftover food on the booth seats. No biggie, I cleaned up and sat down. They served pho in northern and southern styles on the menu. We asked and were told the soup from the south is fattier. We ordered one of each. No differentiation at all. No flavor in the soups. It also has a weird after taste. So, I added a lot of Hoisin to my soup, which I should not have to. The tops of the condiments popped out as they were broken all this time without a replacement. The water had a foul odor, which is hard to explain. Several people were getting mad because the service was so bad. We asked for extra limes and basils for our soups and gotten none. We did not finish our food and left. We wrote a comment on the receipt hoping management would improve this place. As up now, I would not recommend this place. read more

Super nice, positive vibe and energy from the staff they makes you smile in person or even just talking thru the phone. They changed my order up without any guilt trip when they confirmed that the egg roll and wonton contained shrimp. They politely suggested the spring roll instead and the chicken pho as my replacement. That means alot especially because I have shrimp allergies and would have saved me from popping bene, using an epipen, or going to the ER. I ordered the combination pho, and as earlier mentioned, the chicken pho, and bbq pork spring roll. All were fresh, tasted great, had all the element of good pho, and I would say a restaurant I will keep in my rotation for this area. Ordered the combo pho with brisket and flank. The two meats were sliced so thin they were barely indistinguishable from each other. Noodles were not much sturdier than instant noodles. Why so many stars?? Pho is something still relatively new to Texas seeing as early as 2012. But here's the deal the delight is not only flavor but NOODLES. We've eaten there three times, first time was good 2nd and 3rd time the noodles had been broken at least three times leaving them two and three inches long??? You can't enjoy slurping two and three inch noodles and it's impossible to each them with chop sticks. The same thing holds true to vermicelli plates. Noodles are broken, the taste is good but eating is nearly impossible. Pho Shack off 90 in Richmond keeps the noodles long, the task is perfect and the service is great. Pho King tastes good, not great, noodles broken and service we can't speak to having just eaten as take out. We don't plan on going back too many other Pho places who don't skimp on long noodles! Don't be so cheap Pho King, keep your noodles long and add some salt or chili flakes! Maybe we will try you next year. read more

I just had lunch with my daughters here. We had 2 wonton noodle soup and shrimp spring roll which were all delicious. Spring rolls were big and fresh! We ahead two orders of the D2- Wonton soup which was delicious and had great broth. In addition to the wonton the soup also had 2 large shrimps and thin slices of pork.
