Pho is amazing! We have a few places to grab pho in Kenosha but NOTHING compares to this! I recommend the P2 which is the beef pho and my fiancé LOVES the pork sandwich. Great Pho. The fun for us stopped there. Service is REALLY poor. Stuff comes out of the kitchen as prepared, and as most of us had pho, we were all half done eating by the time my wife got her crawfish. The crawfish were horrid. Mmm mmm spring rolls. They make the larger of the normal versions and the grilled pork preparation is a fantastic item. Crackling meat and crisp layers of fresh seeming veggies in a sticky rice paper. Savory and relatively healthy, GET THEM! Pho itself was pretty good. Their steak is the kind with lots of thick mushy fat, not the kind I like. Sure it helps the pho phlavor, but ended up being a lot wasted meat at our table. My chicken stir-try had a pepper by it in the menu, and it was good and spicy with thorough coverage of hot spices. Oily to give the heat a good linger, yet over oily for me. The included rice was another perfected item. Great stickiness for chopstick eating. Additional notes: Carried-out items good for lunch next day. And saw a very recent about condiments at table: tables at least on the perimeter of PhoCali had every possible condiment already on it, plus pho spoons dispenser and napkins. Service was quick (but not to quick, made to order) and they brought to-go sauce for our leftovers. I tried pho for the first time at Pho Cali a few weeks ago and the experience was top-notch. PHO IS SO DELICIOUS, man, I did not know what I was missing in my life! The first time I ordered the Pho Ga and J ordered the Pho Dac Biet. We both loved our orders. Mine was just delectable and the chicken was perfect. I'm pretty picky about meat. Sometimes meat just weirds me out. But this chicken was PERFECT and thus, made me very happy :D Also, the dishes just LOOKED beautiful and appetizing. I have also ordered different flavors of the milk teas with tapioca, which I very much enjoy; and J had a grilled pork Bánh mì yesterday which he said was also delicious. Additionally, the staff is so polite and gracious. It is wonderful to be treated so nicely at a restaurant. Yesterday I walked in to place a to-go order and I was seated with a glass of water while I ordered and waited! Thankfully Pho Cali is very close to my house so I know I will become a regular here. To start off, the food is great! I only had the pho though haha, but very good. It was sweet and full of layers. I missed the old place that was here, but this place is a good replacement. I say, the broth has that great flavor that the old hai tuyet that used to be on 27th. The tendons were kinda melty, but that only means how long the soup's been brewing, right? Jasmine milk tea I had was okay, had a very artificial jasmine flavor. I like the servers. One was kinda sassy, but just a cute old man. The other guy was just very nice. Very clean place. As I was eating, these guys were just cleaning the whole time (well not the whole whole time, they did serve me hahah). So I noticed that they actually used products to wipe down their tables. This is one of the better pho spots in Milwaukee. What really keeps me coming back here over the other spots is not the pho. It's the appetizer. Specifically, A1 - Charbroiled Meatball. Many pho restaurants in CA and TX have this, but not Milwaukee or even WI. The peanut sauce is a very nice compliment. The Pho is also good. P1 - Pho - House Special is my normal dish. A total mistake. Having eaten at a great Vietnamese place earlier in the week and having spent three weeks in Vietnam, I was in the mood for some fresh Vietnamese food. What we found was poor service, wilted and rotted lettuce, oily, poor tasting food and a dirty restaurant all around. Barely edible. And, we stated we were allergic to corn (corn was in the food) and we were vegetarian (fish sauce in a bowl given to us). The smell of the oil was gnarly. I don't know what Pho really tastes like in Vietnam, because people Americanize foods from its origin. I have tried Pho in a lot of cities and I think this restaurant has average Pho. BUT, their pork spring roll is really good. The Pho was just average, just like any other Pho. It just didn't spark me. The soup is meh too. The pork spring roll just brought you one more star otherwise I would rate the restaurant 3 stars, it is very yummy. The pork in it is rich in flavor. When you bite on the spring roll, the pork and those crunchy vegetables combined will give you a burst. I'm not sure about the sauce that comes with the spring roll, I think it's made of vinegar. Still a good place to have some Vietnamese, I was just passing by this place and decided to check it out. Didn't fail me. Food came up 3 mins after I ordered, there are some flies in the restaurant but it is bearable. Horrible service, they sat us at a dirty table, didn't even want to serve us because we had kids, refused to make us boba drinks and lied that their machine was broken, then we see them make drinks for other customers. They kept yelling at our kids not to move, when all my kids were doing was going to wash their hands in the bathroom, and they had to go 1 at a time because the bathroom was so small. People who came after us was served first, and when I asked for more siracha, the waiter refused to get me one until he saw me going over to another table to get myself some. My fiancé and I were very impressed with this place. Fast service with great tasting pho. The amount of pho they give you is insane! (we both couldn't finish the medium size which cost just under $10). I actually think they give you TOO many noodles for the amount of soup. Their pho cali special has really great flavors, and I was convinced that the broth was cooked slowly... as it should be. We LOVED the charbroiled meatball rolls, a dish we had never tried before because we rarely see it on menus. They are $4 for 2 which I think is a appropriate price. I had the pho tai and my boyfriend had the house special and we shared some spring rolls w shrimp. I thought it would be the same as the Pho Cali in Los Angeles which was my favorite but it was meh. It was bland there wasn't a lot of flavor to the broth the bean sprouts seemed old. The meat didn't seem that fresh either. The waiter was super helpful and nice. Maybe I was expecting too much. Once we were inside, no one greeted us but we head someone say "sit anywhere," so we sat by the window. The booth was dirty and table was so sticky that my sleeves were literary sticking to the table. The windows were so dusty and the condiment tray was dirty and some items were empty, had to get different condiments from different tables. We received the menus and one of them was missing some pages. We ordered two noodle soups and the first few bites were super sweet. Like the broth was nothing but sugar. As I was eating my sweet noodle soup, I found a PIECE OF STYROFOAM! My appetite was completely gone and then they started cleaning the floors because you know, it's very pleasant to smell the aroma of dirty mop with some bleach as you're eating your food. We weren't able to finish our food since we were grossed out, so we went to the front to pay. This guy which I'm assuming is the owner just handed us the check and walked away. Lol. negative10/10 do not recommend this place. I read some reviews just before writing this and now my stomach is turning thinking about how gross this place is. This was my second time here, my wife and I ordered the Pho, the special fish/ noddle soup, papaya salad, and sandwich ( to go). We were disappointed in the food and service we received. First, the food was incorrect- we asked for pork not to be added to the papaya salad, but it still had it. Second, she ordered a tri- color which they told us they did not have anymore. She decided to order a bubble- tea however, when she received her drink, it came with a strand of long hair ( on the side of the cup). Third, the pho was not special at all, I can taste the extra sugar they put into the pho. Also, the place was extra cold when we visited. Especially the bathroom. read more

My girlfriend and I didn't notice at first in the lemongrass chicken but after a few bites both of us knew something was wrong. $40 meal with deliver down the drain, nothing was SAFELY EDIBLE. My family was in Milwaukee for our first trip to Wisconsin. Came to this restaurant based off of the reviews. Totally disappointed. The waiter was nice but he had to come back several times to confirm our order. The food presentation was good but the looks was deceiving. The food was either was cooked with too much oil. The smoothie seems like it was pre-prepared. How did I know? Before we left, one of my kids smoothies had a small bug in it. I asked the waiter at the counter for a new one. He looked at and said he would give us a "new" one. I did not hear any blender noises and also he gave me a "new" one to quickly. I strongly believe he just poured the original one into a new cup after removing the bug. Don't always believe what the reviews say. This is one restaurant that is off our list. The food is good and the prices are the same as the other Pho places in town so there's nothing negative to say there and the prices (in my opinion) are reasonable for what you get. However, I have to say that I will not return to this particular restaurant because the entire time my husband and I were eating, we were being bothered by 4 or 5 flies that were landing on our table and our shoulders, etc when they weren't landing on tables near us. We lost our appetite pretty quick and took the rest of our food to go. The most frustrating part is that there were about 4 or 5 employees sitting at a table near us and they saw us shooing the flies away and could tell we were being bothered by them but made no attempt to get rid of the flies when they would landing on the tables and windows near us.
