    Grilled pork combo rice entree

Service is a little slow but they had a big lunch rush and are understaffed. Entrees are well-priced and I always leave with leftovers. The grilled pork is my go to, either with the rice or vermicelli. The shopping center has a parking lot, which can fill up quickly during lunch time.

It's alright. Not bad, but not anything to write home about. Got a Large Pho Dac Biet, Nem Nuong, and Chicken Banh Mi. It did the job but def liked the Pho Hiep in Eastlake better when it was open. They did take a bit of time for the food, which wasn't an issue since we just walked around 99 Ranch and picked up some groceries. Wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but alright if it's on the way. Ended up just picking up and eating at home.

Came here to order 2 appetizers for take out. I asked to remove one item and the older man at the counter said its too late I already entered it. I hadn't even swiped my card and it was still on the tipping screen and nothing processed. Nice try trying to take advantage of customers!!! I told him if you cant figure out how to delete one item then to delete the entire order. All of a sudden he magically remembered how to do it. I know times are tough but no need to take advantage of costumers. If they love the food and service the ppl will come on their own. I will never return again. Yes I was still nice enough to tip bc I felt sorry he felt the need to desperately do such a thing. Go eat some where else! I recommend Noodle House on East 8th Street National City. Poor service is never worth the food.

On a pho kick lately, and Pho Hiep is one of the first Vietnamese restaurants I've tried in Chula Vista! Their pho noodles were not my preferred texture as I like them a bit softer, but they did stick to the bottom of the bowl and were hard to stir. My order was #9: Rare Beef and Tendon. The steak came almost completely cooked, as not advertised so I was a bit disappointed. Their broth was hearty though, and I finished all of the soup! They have more than just pho, like banh mi sandwiches and other noodle and rice entrees. Service was very limited last Sunday, as there was no host to be found and we found ourselves asking to order and to get utensils. Their pho is an overall 7/10, I really enjoyed the broth and the portion for a small was fairly generous. My overall rating for Pho Hiep would have to be a 3/5 stars!

I have no idea how I have not been to this place as many times as I've been in this shopping center!! Came here for lunch, the restaurant is clean and had good upbeat music playing. We were sat right away into a booth. We ordered some spring rolls and individual pho (I got the meatballs cuz honestly I'm not a red meat kind of person). The spring rolls were so good, realt refreshing and the peanut sauce was impeccable!! The pho was good but the broth could've been better, it was missing umami. Overall it's a good spot for lunch and I'll definitely be back!!

I ordered to-go, in person. I was bummed when I found out you can't just order the broth. It was for a sick friend. That's what she asked for. Got meat with it in the end. Sigh. The place looks nice. Clean. Not too dark or bright which actually means a lot to me. All the food was great even my friend's soup! I recommend the fried spring roll at the top of the first page I think... Love the fresh spring rolls too!

The food has always been good here, though their service was always up and down. My last few visits had great service. The pho here is good but their grilled beef and shrimp with vermicelli noodles are amazing. Big portions served with a lot of veggies and sauce. Their Thai tea is better than those served at most boba places too.

Great place for Vietnamese food in the area. My go to pho order is the Dac biet. The #1 special pho with all the meats- I'll like to add meat ball which is not commonly included and is an extra charge as it is here. I got the small bowl and it was filling. Got the 3 fried egg rolls- i like to wrap it in the lettuce and add the herbs and dip in the fish sauce. also got the #7 banh mi which is the grilled pork to go. The pho broth was ok- still like to add hoisin and sriracha sauce for added flavor. Banh mi was packed with a good amount of meat and veggies- at home I added extra mayo and sriracha, probably could've just asked them to add it there. Bathroom inside and parking lot out front.

I've been coming here for years and thought I did a review of this spot. I guess not... So here it is. I ordered the grilled pork, shrimp over vermicelli noodles. So fresh and grilled to perfection. Plenty of lettuce and bean sprouts and protein as well. My wife ordered Pho. Not sure which one but, she enjoyed the warm flavorful broth, the vermicelli noodles and fresh veggies on the side. The service was excellent. They even brought a bottle of sriracha even without us asking. I like the ambiance of this place. Modern with a nice spacious dining area. Overall, the best Vietnamese restaurant hands down in the area!

I've been coming here for years. Always clean, consistent, fast, and delicious. The broth is a little more mild and less salty than most Pho's, but this is how I prefer it. Lets me add the spice/lemon/salt/etc the way I like it. Service is hit or miss but overall never had a problem that would ever prevent me from eating here. In a busy strip mall but there is plenty of parking.

The food is delicious. The service is good. The ambiance is a little cute mom and pop restaurant. Just walked in no reservations needed. I highly recommend! I've also had their delicious fried egg rolls which I ordered for take out.

Love, love, love this place! I've been coming here for decades and first of all, i love they remodeled this place with modern lighting and decor. It is def a spot where you can take your friends or family for a pho date! Besides Pho,they have a variety of rice or vermicelli dish options. I especially love the grilled chicken and also the combo of rib eye with shrimp plate -- i love the flavor, the quality and the portion size is generous. The only thing they can prolly improve on is, some of the staff could practice the art of smiling, and being more attentive and checking in at least once... I'm sure that will be a plus!

    Fresh veggies!!

Not sure how this is my first review here. Been eating here since 2013 and when the Navy sends me back to SD this is one of my favorites. I know I left several reviews at the Pho Hiep château in East Lake. The pho is always on point. You can smell the broth from the door!! Which is the signature of a good pho restaurant! Can't smell it don't eat it! Service has always been solid. I see some of the faces from the other restaurant so that warms my heart. Coming here is like coming home again! So happy to give them my business and sorry that it took so long to review it!

There was a bit of a wait to be seated, which is usually a good indicator that this spot is a crowd favorite. We started with the eggrolls. They were delicious and consistent with what you'd expect from a solid pho shop. That said, $11 for six pieces does feel a bit steep for the portion. For pho, I went with the Tai Chin, which comes with well-done brisket and rare beef. They are incredibly generous with the meat portions. I actually finished all my noodles and was searching around for spare strands under the abundance of beef left over, which is a good problem to have. The service was highly efficient across the board. Our food came out quickly, and the staff proactively brought out all the veggies and chilli oil without us needing to flag anyone down. It's a well-run spot that definitely delivers if you're looking for a warm, comforting bowl of pho.
