Meh. I ordered online and took it home with me. The rare meat portion seemed skimpy. The meatball was tough and did not seem homemade. No basil was included, just lots of cilantro. The broth was pretty bland. I popped in to use the bathroom while I was waiting and I always think that the way they maintain their restrooms is kind of telling overall. The soap dispenser was empty and there was only a sriracha bottle with something purple in it resting on the handicapped bar that may or may not have been soap. There were no paper towels either, only an empty dispenser. Yet employees are supposed to wash their hands before working?? This restaurant has a very strong smell of Nail polish due to the nail salon next door. Definitely makes your stomach turn. Also seems like their a/c is turned down low, place was hot. Asian lady at the counter was rude and short with me. I definitely didn't feel welcomed. She definitely looks like she hates her job. A bit skeptical since the good Vietnamese restaurants are in the Bellaire area, but quite surprise that is actually not bad at all. Prices are very reasonable and food is good. Service is ok , looks like it's their 1st time open a restaurant. Missing some condiments that should come with the meal and you have to ask for them. Like been sprouts and basil should come with the pho but they forgot until ask. Like the sauce with chicken wings they forgot too. Hopefully they will get better with time. Living in the NE side of the Houston area, decent pho places are hard to come by, so when this spot opened up, expectations were ho hum. First things first, the atmosphere is chill, the ambience simplistic but roomy, and it's accommodating to families and small groups. The menu consists of a lot of pho shop favorites, from appetizers such as egg rolls (lumpia iykyk) and chicken wings, to entrees like rice plates and banh mi all of which are excellent. The pho itself? Compared to other places in the northside, is pretty good. With cooler weather coming around in the area, I'm ecstatic that there is a local pho restaurant that I can feel confident frequenting. The place looks like it's family owned, so while it can get busy at the lunch and dinner rush times, service has been all around good. Went during soft opening and it was awesome Pho-sure! Broth was light and fragrant, with great flavor. I never drink the broth, but found myself lapping it up. Staff was nice and friendly. But no table service, you must order at the counter. The broth tasted as same day broth. Not 1-3 day broth. I felt like I had to add a bunch of stuff into my soup to give it flavor. Egg rolls were DELICIOUS. Also I had the chicken pho, the chicken was good. A horrible place for vegetarians, unfortunately. Their veggie & tofu pho has chicken broth. Their veggie & tofu fried rice has meat already mixed into it? His was missing carrots entirely while mine had a giant glob but only on one side of the sandwich. His was also slathered in mayo. Ok so this is definitely our new pho spot. The restaurant is pretty small and cozy,very clean and just a calming feeling when you walk in. You are greeted as soon as you walk through the door, place your order on the counter and they will take yoir food to your table. We got the vermicelli bowls and they were delicious! My son enjoyed the egg rolls. I decided to try their coconut juice that was delicious and refreshing. When you order one of their fresh juices or smoothies they put a really cute Hello Kitty seal on your cup. The lady that took our order stopped by our table to see what we thought and invited us to come back to try other items. We are definitely planning on coming back. read more

Was craving a nice bowl of pho after a long weekend in Mexico. So first thing I did was look up a spot on yelp closest to the airport. Man this place did not disappoint. Walking in the environment seemed like normal, coming in an hour and a half before closing the staff was so friendly and welcoming to us even with our big group. I ordered the special pho along with a pork banh mi. The broth left a satisfying spot in my stomach and if you've read any other of my reviews about pho, you know that's saying something. Salty and good portions of side items such as basil, jalapeños, sprouts, etc. The fried rice was quickly consumed by my son which is always a win, and my other son enjoyed the shrimp plate that also comes with rice. I have officially visited The Pho Spoon TWICE in less than 24 hours. My favorite go-to Vietnamese restaurant is in Midtown and I recently learned that they aren't open on the weekend and they close early during the week. What' a girl to do?!?! Use YELP to find another spot!!! I've had the chargrilled pork vermicelli twice, shrimp spring rolls, beef spring rolls and the fried eggrolls. All were excellent. I'm really looking forward to cooler weather so that I can enjoy the Pho. I'm also excited to explore their rice combination plates and the bahn mi. They have a great looking drink menu, but I think $4.00+ for a boba tea is too pricey. That may be the going price, but then again, I normally order water with lemon when I dine out. First timer: Ok to be honest I really wanted to dislike this place because the lady attending me came off a little rude. Not big rude just a little rude lol. Preferred to go, all was packaged very nicely. Their Grilled Pork Bahn Mi was delicious! I usually drive to downtown for my favorite bahn mi place but this one hit the spot!! You can make it a combo with drink, fries or egg roll for an additional $3.25 which I don't think is worth it for the tiny egg roll and canned soda that's comes with your sandwich. Pho was good as well. Spring rolls were a great addition to my afternoon meal. I will definitely be back for their food. Very glad I found this place. I have been sick with my allergies for a week and I needed pho desperately. Another place I passed earlier closed at 8pm on a Friday night! Who does that? This place stays open later. I had to drive the opposite direction to get to them but I had to do it. I called them to pick up my chicken pho and they had it ready within 10 minutes.
