Great dish for my lunch I will come back and try other dishes for my upcoming party

Delicious and delicate veggie spring rolls!

We are Vietnamese and had food for our family event catered by Pho Ever last Saturday. The owner was easy to work with when placing the order and was flexible when I added to the order a few days before the event. The charcoal grilled chicken was perfectly seasoned, very tender and delicious. The charcoal really gave it that authentic smoky flavor and my family raved about it. They even threw in some free veggie spring rolls which were delicate and delicious. Everything was ready on time and everyone was very kind when my husband came to pick it up. Would highly recommend Pho Ever if you need catering and would recommend this dish in particular. They do an excellent job and its authentic!

Shockingly basic food. The fried fish balls were decent. The bun dish was the poorest quality I have ever had. The veggies were pathetic. I got a few carrot shreds, a couple paper thin raddish slices, and the hard flavorless center of a lettuce head. The eggs rolls on top were meh. Very unimpressed.

In Delaware, a bowl of pho will cost you on the plus side of $9, which is a little on the high side compared to Philly, where pho is everywhere. You can order a bowl and customize it however you'd like or choose from a half dozen pre-set options. On the menu is bubble tea and some other Asian fare (not necessarily Vietnamese). I thought the broth was pretty good. My wife thought it was a little oily and salty. I like just tendon and tripe in my pho. The tendon was very thin (I like it thicker). All of the ingredients are set up in a fixings bar right by the counter, so they're putting the bowl together right in front of you (kind of like Chipotle). There are now three main pho options in the area. It's better and cleaner than Pho Cali, but I think vPho is a notch above Pho Ever.

It was great speaking with the owner Dien about his shop and the letter he wrote to Obama. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is decked out in modern vietnamese themed decorations and great lighting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food of course is delicious. The noodles are the perfect comfort food that you can make just the way you want and their bubble tea is made with dairy free creamer and gluten-free tapioca pearls. All around a great spot that you simply have to try for yourself!

    Milk tea

I have been going to this place for years and it's my favorite bubble tea shop in the area. Trust me there is a lot of competition around. They have a lot of fruit flavors teas. Toppings range anywhere tapioca, popping bubbles and jelly. My personal favorite is the coconut tea with lychee jelly!!

Great selection of ingredients to make your custom pho and bubble tea. Menu has a large selection of Vietnamese dishes that look and sound great. Also a nice selection of Asian ice creams.

It was only ten minutes before closing Friday night, but we were advised we could order something to go with no problem. Appreciative, we selected beef and chicken banh mi and sat down to wait for them to be prepped and ready. The shop was bright and cheerful and seemed like it would be a good place to eat in on a future occasion. The kitchen staff got busy and the floor guys continued to clean up. We saw the wrapped sandwiches exit from the back be bagged with all necessary accoutrements. Prices were fair, especially with the 10% Back to School discount. They even threw in an extra bottle of water for our ride home. Generous spirit. Turned out they also gave us a container of dumplings and dipping vinegar as an appetizer. Decent, although I didn't know dumplings were part of Vietnamese cuisine. The banh mi were also quite good. Stuffed with meat, cucumber, daikon, cilantro and mayo, they were alot to eat. Even the torpedo rolls were crusty, if not quite French baguette quality. Liked them all the way back to PA. Pho Ever is clever word play that suggests how long their food will be appealing, and the loyalty that may be evoked if they continue to treat their customers so well.

    Short rib

Got takeout. I was excited to have short rib and it was so bad. I couldn't even chew the meat and I nearly choked trying to swallow a piece I tried because I just wanted it to be good.

Small hip diner serving excellent Vietnamese staple dishes. The pho, summer rolls, and iced coffee were all really good.

We kicked things off with edamame - simple and exactly what you'd expect (hard to mess that up). From there, we shared the chicken soup dumplings, which were loaded with broth and seasoned chicken. I always wonder how they manage to make those, but that's a mystery for another day. The vegetable spring rolls came out hot and crispy. They could've used more filling, but the thin wrapper made them extra crunchy, which I liked. Surprisingly, the star of the show wasn't the dumplings - it was the fried rice. Something about it just kept me going back for more. I'm usually not big on rice, but even my daughter said it was, in her words, "obnoxiously good." We also tried bubble tea (my daughter ordered it for me), and it was my first time having one with a fruity flavor inside the boba - "slamming" is the only way to describe it. Service-wise, the staff and hostess were polite and attentive throughout. Overall, I'd give The Ugly Dumpling a strong 4 out of 5. FYI - when you hit the bathroom, make sure you grab the hand soap and not the mouthwash like I did. When you go, you'll see what I mean, lol.

They sell a lot of their own merch so that's what you first see when you walk in. They have a bar area as well. The dining area towards the back is very spacious. And they have seating to accommodate small-large groups. The dim lighting adds to the calm vibe of the restaurant. The service is so fast. I feel like every item came out so quickly. And the servers checked in pretty frequently to clear the table, ask you if you need another drink, dessert, etc. it did feel a bit rushed. As a starter they give you their Ciabatta bread and the sun-dried tomato oil. The oil was DELICIOUS. I literally bought a jar to take home. For my drink I got the Fresca. It was good, very refreshing. For my entree I got the Linguini & Clams. It was good, could've used a bit more salt but the sauce was good. For desert I got the boozy affogato and it was delish. Would definitely dine here again if I'm ever in the area.

My wife's Gnocchi were delicious... although she was slightly disappointed to find that her Eggplant that came with her dish came in the form of a fried disc. Anyway, my daughter loved her manicotti and I enjoyed my pizza. The waitress was kind but harried. It's a college town. The place gets busy. The failure to bring me a plate or knife and fork, along with waiting forever to pay the check is the reason Taverna doesn't receive 5 Stars. I will definitely try them again.
