Pho Ever is a casual family-owned Vietnamese eatery in Lorain. My visit to this restaurant was not pre-planned. I was in the area at the Lorain Library (main branch), and was craving a cozy meal. Pho Ever had a catchy name and was only a few minutes away (drive). What's more cozy than pho? I made a quick and good decision to visit. AMBIANCE: The restaurant is one open space simple cultural decor. The space well fits groups and single guests. Multiple comfy booths are available along one of the walls and there are plenty of tables. Decor includes Nón Lá (Vietnamese conical hats) around the perimeter of the restaurant, vases and flowers, wood carved rooster art, prosperity wall hanging with laughing Buddhas, and other decor typical of Asian restaurants. There is also a blue sky ceiling fragment. The atmosphere is very simple and casual. The restaurant is not the cleanest. That includes the floor, the bathrooms, the tables, and teapots. Everything could use a deep clean. FOOD/DRINKS: The menu features appetizers, rice plates, vermicelli stir-fry, pho, fried rice, ramen noodles, combination plates, and optional add-ons. Drinks were not on the menu. There are few pictures of the menu items to point you in the right direction. Each dish has alphanumeric value for simple ordering. I noticed that the prices are pretty value-oriented less than many other comparable restaurants. I ordered my default Vietnamese restaurant order - pho, rolls, and hot tea. More specifically, A3 (2 charbroiled pork rolls, $5), A4 (charbroiled chicken rolls, $5), P3 (pho with eye round steak and well-done brisket, $14), and jasmine tea ($2 for a tea pot). Rolls had a generous amount of meat. I loved pork rolls, but didn't like the chicken. I found it to be too dry. I did not use the accompanying sauces since spice is not my favorite. Pho included a large portion, plenty of meat, but the broth had some slightly lemony undertone that wasn't my favorite. Jasmine tea was perfectly hot and light. It was a very comforting meal due to hot tea and hot pho. I also loved that the food was delivered with a pouch with chopsticks, fork, spoon, and big spoon for pho. SERVICE: The service was very pleasant, quick, and accommodating. There was one waiter serving quickly filling dining room. He was excellent and very attentive! I was seated very quickly. My food impressively arrived within minutes. All other guests had all their questions answered with patience. Huge compliments on the service! The restaurant was extremely accommodating to groups. They expeditiously moved tables together for large dinner groups. I was at the restaurant before 6 PM and the restaurant was already almost full with more people pulling into the parking lot. It seems like it's a popular local destination. PARKING: There is plenty of parking available to customers. Dedicated parking lot rather than shared plaza arrangement. My experience was pretty positive. I was especially impressed with the excellent service. It wasn't the best Vietnamese food that I experienced, but pretty good for a casual Sunday meal. While I wouldn't go out of my way to travel here, I'd definitely stop in while in the area. read more

This has been my favorite Vietnamese spot for nearly a decade (because this owner used to operate Pho Thang Cafe in downtown Cleveland). Their broth is so complex and comforting, the ingredients are always fresh, and the space is well kept. The service staff are attentive and helpful. If you're only getting this for takeout, you're missing out. They make their own chili oil and my husband practically drinks it with his Banh mi. No other Vietnamese spot in Northeast Ohio comes close in my opinion. I live 30 mins away and am already making excuses to come back so I can eat here. read more

We had the pork spring rolls (crispy, meaty and tasty) and hubby loved the bulky garden rolls with pork and shrimp. He loved Pho #5 with beef and meatballs loved that meat was allowed to cook in the delicious bone broth. Veggies were fresh, service was attentive I think she filled my water glass 5x. 3 foods we loved, pho nam soup was delicious. We hared a bowel because it was so large. Bun was tom was delicious. We also shared a bowel. Garden roll called goi com was wonderful with peanut sauce. The prices were great. We really enjoyed our lunch here. This place is kid friendly. The interior is very pretty and very clean. Parking is great. I highly recommend this location for lunch. Devoted Superior patron for the past 18yrs but no more. So happy there's a closer and frankly better Vietnamese restaurant to the west side. No more watery broth and crazy price hikes. The sprouts are squeaky clean here! Always a point of contention at Superior, as well as the crazy price increases. Ordered a bowl of Pho, Bahn Mi and the meat spring roll. All SO good and very authentic. Bowl of Pho was large and broth is so very good. Restaurant was packed at 7pm but still plenty of seating. Pricing is very reasonable for the amount of food. To say I'm excited for a Vietnamese restaurant in Lorain would be an understatement. I heard about Pho Ever being talked about on a local Facebook group and immediately headed over to try it out. First, it was absolutely packed for a weekday at Noon which made me so happy given that the restaurant just opened for business. The service was prompt and friendly and I quickly scanned the menu and ordered my go-to which is Pho with steak and brisket. I've had a lot of pho in my life, like a ridiculous amount. From Arizona to Oregon, and up and down the coast of California. It's my staple that try immediately upon moving to a new area and I just moved here so here we are. This bowl of pho is in the top 3 that I've ever eaten! The broth was rich and flavorful, all the spices were perfect and both types of meat were very tender and the brisket wasn't too fatty which I've found more common at other places. I'm so thrilled this restaurant exists just a stone's throw away from my house. I will be back regularly to try everything on the menu and wish this business owner all the best and all the success, as Lorain County is huge and Vietnamese has been lacking...but not any longer! read more

We are both vegetarians and were delighted to see the choices at Pho Ever. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in the vegetarian pho. I have had vegetarian pho in many places, many different cities, and this was the most bland broth I have ever had. Adding many dollops of hosin sauce and the traditional bean sprouts Thai basil etc it didn't really improve the soup. Service was efficient and the space was clean and bright. I have been dining at this restaurant since they opened, and I have never had a bad meal. Infact, I have eaten Pho all over the world, and the Pho here rates very near the top. Pho Ever has seven different options for what you want in your Pho. In addition to Pho, there are many more options for people who are not wanting soup. My daughter gets the vegetable fried rice and spring rolls every time. The restaurant is very family oriented as well, and you will usually get a quick friendly visit from one of their kids if they are there after school. First off this is our first time here immediately sat down and was served drinks and pleasantly surprised at the clubliness. All these places are usually the same usually pretty beat up little places family run and operated but this one was really good. We ordered the spring rolls the pork rolls we ordered the p h o g a which is Pho Ga the chicken pho. It was by far the star of the show the flavors were incredible. Then we had the vermicelli bowl house special it was fantastic top to bottom The flavors were great the proteins were cooked perfectly. I really want to like their pho, I really do. Lorain needs more authentic Asian cuisine. We gave this place a try twice, just to make sure we didn't just catch them on an odd day the first time. If you really enjoy pho from the Asia Town district in Cleveland, you aren't going to like Pho Ever. The broth just lacks the flavor and depth that my bf and I've been accustomed to. It's just bland and doesn't taste like there's any seasoning from the typical spices of star anise, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, etc... the flavors just aren't there. Some pluses are that it's served very hot and their ingredients are otherwise nice and fresh. I did enjoy my shrimp and pork garden roll, although the sauce served with it is too heavy with peanut butter. If you add some hoisin to it, it makes it a lot better. My bf loved his crispy spring roll. The restaurant is very clean and the people seem very nice. Might try some other food from here, but can't recommend their Pho. read more

I can't explain how happy I am to know that there is authentic and delicious Vietnamese food in Lorain!! I live in Pittsburgh but I visit my family in Lorain once a month. I happened to try this little gem of a spot tonight and had to hop on here to rave about it. First, as a vegetarian, it is always difficult for me to find a variety of food in Lorain. There were so many options for me here that I can go a few more time and have different dishes. Again, that is rare. Second, the food is flavorful, abundant, and I have to mention that the spring rolls are perfect (not greasy unlike many other places). We had the shrimp fried rice, two types of spring rolls, combination ramen with stir fried veggies and the pho beef. Will definitely be a new favorite of ours. A new taste sensation in Lorain, OH, Pho Ever Vietnamese Cuisine is a winner! We have eaten there the last two weekends and been very happy with everything. Our Servers, Gabby and Drew took care of us - able to answer questions and offer suggestions, the Pho (brisket and veggie) was amazing in its depth of flavor, and the spring rolls were a crispy delight! I like a little more spice so added some Sriracha to the veggies Pho, which complimented the ginger, Thai basil, and cilantro zing. My dining companion added chili oil to their beef brisket Pho and enjoyed a little hotter spice.
