They forgot to mention that what I ordered for dinner wasn't available that night...until EVERYONE at my large table had been served their complete meals including multiple appetizers and drinks. Usually I would go to Vung Tao for my pho on the weekends but this time around I wanted to try Pho Factory since I used to go here often. Let me tell you, It was definitely my worst experience. I got here and the moment I look I see an empty place with nothing but used plates on the tables and no place to sit, I remember back then I used to come to this place and looking very organized and never had issues. This time, I kid you not I waited around 7-10 minutes to get sat down while the hosts were on their phones by the booths. Which btw the lady upfront was not very nice, I then waited another 7 minutes to receive my WATER. I haven't even been asked anything about my order and was just about fed up at this point. Luckily, my server gave me some decent service and the food was just about okay after taking 25 minutes to receive when the place was empty. Awesome place. Go for the spicy, rare beef Pho. The meat comes slightly raw on top, but cooks perfectly when you poke it in to the "I could drink this all day" broth. The broth is perfect with the addition of all the toppings and a squeeze of lime. All for $16 and a tip. Pro Tip: Save your leftover toppings and broth and boil them in brown rice at home for some awesome Pho-king pho-rice. Don't waste that broth! read more

I rarely go here. I try to give places multiple chances with ample time in between. Every time I go, I feel like the quality has just been no ping down. You pay so much for so little. I ordered a chicken pho and there was barely any chicken. Chicken is not that expensive. They gave me maybe an ounce worth. It was so shriveled up and so sad and so little. I paid like $14 for a bowl of rice noodle. I was also very disappointed in the broth. I've had a lot of pho in my life and it tastes so bland and so watery. Plus, they always make me wait for so long. On one occasion, they told me it would be 10-20 minutes. Whatever, I went to the local stores near by to buy some stuff for home and even got a bubble tea while I waited. They said they would text me or call me. I kept checking back in and nothing. 20 minutes go by. 30 minutes go by. Nothing. They said the wait time would be an hour. Ridiculous. Zero communicate or anything. I was not impressed with the quality, cost, or wait time. My family used to come here together but we don't anymore. I don't go anymore either and I don't take my friends here. read more

One of the reasons I miss living is Lincoln is Pho Factory. For the prices, even a small for around 6 bucks is HUGE. Soup is filled to the rim and packed with noodles. Most other places, I'll eat their one-size portion and still be left hungry for more. I couldn't even finish a small, and that's saying a lot! I also appreciate the service here. They say you go to Asian restaurants for the food, not necessarily the service, but our waitress was very attentive and kind. She checked back multiple times to make sure we were good and our drinks were full. Even other servers made sure we were doing okay as well. Now, most importantly, the pho. Delicious! I often find myself having to douse my pho in hoisin due to a lack of flavor, but I only used it to dip the meat in. The broth was very flavorful and the meat was very tender. I only needed to add Sriracha for the kick. The sides (lime, bean sprouts, basil) was also fresh and crunchy. Many times I get slightly browned bean sprouts. I do wish I had cilantro, but that's just my preference. Egg rolls were very good as well. My friend got the shaken beef which he said was very good as well. Spring rolls were also fresh, crunchy, and the dipping peanut sauce was tasty. With pretty good size menu, Pho Factory makes me want to venture out more and divulge in Vietnamese Cuisine. read more

tl;dr go there, order pho, profit I'm a huge pho fan and Pho Factory's is excellent. I have to say that I'd normally pretty leery of a restaurant with "factory" anywhere in it's name, but my fears were proven unfounded. I almost always get my pho with raw beef on the side so that I can cook it just to rare in the hot broth, and the quality of theirs is very good. Probably the best I've had, nicely fatty and tender. Occasionally it's sliced a bit thick but I don't mind. Their meatballs are also good. (I'll admit to being completely apathetic toward tendon, tripe etc so I haven't had those at Pho Factory) But really, pho is all about the broth, and Pho Factory shines there as well. Once or twice it seemed maybe just slightly too sweet for my taste (maybe a bit heavy on the anise or cinnamon or something?) but it's always rich and packed with flavor, and you can really taste the various ingredients. I could drink it by the bucket full. I can't speak for any of their dishes other than pho because I have not had any. I go to pho places for pho and cannot resist ordering it.....maybe some day I'll try something else. I CAN say that everything I've seen on other people's tables has looked great (especially the hot pots) and I'm sure it's delicious The atmosphere of the place is quite nice as well---surprisingly so, considering the exterior "strip mall" location. They obviously spent a few bucks on the decor, furniture etc and it's tasteful, modern and well done. Typically there's background music (what I'm guessing is contemporary Vietnamese?) and it's kept at a nice volume (I really hate it when places blare their music as if diners want to feel like they're at a bar/club). They do have the seemingly-ubiquitous multiple flat screen televisions, but they're limited to one wall, behind the bar. Obviously they felt they had to have them, but made a good choice in limiting them to that one area, keeping them off to the side and unobtrusive. The only thing lacking just slightly at Pho Factory is the service. And I hesitate to even say that because the service is by no means bad---in fact we've typically had very friendly and competent service---but more that it just seems inexperienced, inconsistent, and maybe a little... awkward? I put it down to the fact that the servers are typically pretty young, and my impression is that for most of them, Pho Factory is probably their first server job. The "akwardness' I think is just the occasional language /communication issue, but it's hardly a problem. Anyway, the service is just fine, just not "professionally"-trained. Frankly I'd rather have earnest effort with a few bumps in the road than the fake-friendly, robotic. chain restaurant spiel any day. I also think Pho Factory is a good value, as portions are very generous. I'm usually satisfied with a "small"---especially if I get an appetizer of some sort---and when I do get a "medium" I usually kind of regret it because I can't stop eating it, and I'm stuffed afterward. This place used to be great, but the last two times they have been a disappointment at best. Second to last time, other than the abnormal wait, I got a pho that was supposed to come with tendon, among other meats. Instead, they gave me the Vietnamese meat ball, which I hate. A LOT of them. There was barely any fatty brisket or rare steak -the other meats I ordered, together with the tendon- on the plate. Well, last time I ordered a vermicelli noodle bowl/salad. It was vermicelli with lettuce. That was it. And some cold pork on top (which was probably delicious by the time it came out, but I was expecting A SALAD). When I asked the waiter about the herbs, carrots and what not, he brought me a little bowl of guess what? LETTUCE. I had half eaten the bowl by then, and didn't bother eating further lettuce. My partner ordered the papaya salad bowl which was subbed by a cabbage one -they did let us know-, but it pretty much looked like "I just chopped some cabbage and threw some shredded chicken over it". Even the nuac chom was wrong, it was basically water with lots of sugar and a little vinegar. No lime, no fish sauce. Tasteless. Also, we waited over half an hour for two freaking salads to arrive. I love the concept of this place. Being Vietnamese myself, I'm accustomed to most Asian restaurants having tacky decor and oddly assembled bathrooms/storage rooms. This place was nothing like that. In fact, the first thing I noticed is how thoughtful the interior was designed and I thought to myself "it would be sweet if we had one of these in Omaha". We were going here for a graduation celebration so we had a party of like 30 people. They were very accommodating and tried to be as attentive as possible. Ordering was a little bit chaotic, but we got everything we ordered (albeit in weird time spurts). I really like how the menu was arranged too...instead of list every combination of food, they listed it out like Chipotle- pick your noodle, pick your meat, pick your toppings, etc. Onward to the food...it was aight. I grew up eating Vietnamese every day so I have had a broad range of foods (from relatives, even Vietnam too) so I think I have a good idea of what counts as good. We started off with spring rolls and they were good, however, the hoisin sauce was really running/watery. The eggs rolls were just average, nothing stood out for me. For my entree, I ordered the large brisket Pho. It came in this ginormous bowl so I was expecting an amazing amount of food, however, I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't more noodles or meat and that it consisted mostly of broth (too much broth in my opinion with the meat/noodle ratio). The flavor was good, however, it was lacking in saltiness and probably could have used a bunch more fish sauce. Overall 4 stars for decor 4 stars for service 3 stars for food 3.75 stars for value Prices were really fair as the large bowl was $9-$10. Pho is my antidrug... the broth is ON POINT. I heard about this place from a few local foodies. Theres a few competitors in the area with the traditional mom and pop vibe.. Pho Factory is a little bit more modern/contemporary but that means nothing, its whos behind the kitchen doors that really matters. Legit from start to finish. I'm from out of state and heard that Pho Factory is the most edible restaurant around. There were 19 of us including adults and kids, each person ordered one plate and the bill was almost $400. Pho was alright, however the other dishes esp the beef plate came in very small portion (barely couple ounces of meat and the rest was white rice cucumber lettuce and tomato that no one cared). Appetizers were not cheap and not great either. If you are starving and can't find a restaurant nearby, then pho would be your best bet here. For such a large VN population living in Lincoln, better VN restaurants will open soon hopefully. read more

I was pleasantly surprised to find such good Vietnamese food in Lincoln, NE! Close to our motel, I was in the mood for fresh veggies and some ethnic flavors, but kept my expectations low. Spirits lifted when it was noticed that my husband and I were the only Caucasian patrons in the restaurant at time of visit... Pho Factory wins points for taking tables past 9pm, making an excellent Mojito, offering a truly exceptional grilled noodle bowl with shrimp, beef, and springrolls atop rice noodles, veggies and tossed with an amazing sauce/vinaigrette. Pho Factory could improve upon their service (slightly inexperienced and a little scattered) and the chicken for their special Pho Ga was disappointing- the slimy/fatty skin wasn't terribly appealing, and I thought the chicken itself could be more flavorful. All in all, a very decent meal, and refreshing change of taste while on the road! read more

I am surprised that this place has such high ratings. Been a few times and haven't been impressed, strongly prefer the mom and pop place down the street, and here's why. On one occasion they were actually out of pho broth when we went. Granted, it was later in the evening, but still. So we ordered a seafood soup. When it arrived at our table with the little flame under it, I quickly discovered that the seafood was still frozen. When I notified my server, her response was that it should cook with the flame. I'm sorry, what? This is not accurate. About 10 minutes later, I was able to talk to someone else who apologized and took it back to the kitchen to actually be cooked before returning it to us. The flavor was fine, but the whole experience was very off-putting. The pho broth itself is fine. Not my favorite, and not the worst I've ever had. I think other places have more complex flavors. Given this and my experience listed above, I generally decide to take my pho business elsewhere. read more

I'm not sure what these other Midwestern reviewers are smoking, but...Pho Factory has great broth. I was absolutely shocked to find such a delicious pho place up here in Nebraska. I'm from Houston, TX, where there are pho shops (and Vietnamese rest.) all over the place. As in, over 120 pho places. Well, after we moved up through the Plains states, we were always on the lookout for a good (or even decent) pho place. We found one when we lived in MO~ we'd only have to make a 3 hr. drive every other weekend to get to it, of course. :) Then when we moved to Omaha, NE....nothing. There are some supposedly Vietnamese/pho places here, but I'm going to have to assume the cooks there have had their taste buds scalded to high hell. All 4 of them aren't worth going back for. =/ Well, at a nail shop, a girl was agreeing about this dismal lack of good pho~ and she said, "Go to Pho Factory in Lincoln!" Hey, worth a shot, I thought. So we finally go over there. And miracle of miracles, the pho is good!! Even the shrimp spring rolls are good~ consistently fresh. We've had a couple noodle dishes w/grilled pork & over-easy egg (delicious). And of course the fried spring rolls, which our 6 yr. old always insists on. The fried rolls are never burnt or overcooked here, as they many times tend to be at other places. I have to say, when we went back home for the holidays, we found our go-to neighborhood pho places to be strongly lacking. And now I notice how many of them have more of the umami/msg flavoring mixed in---whereas Pho Factory has a much cleaner taste, while still being flavorful. The service may be a little 'newer'~ but they are always nice, and so earnest about making sure you're enjoying your meal, or seeing if you need anything. I think they do a great job...and my husband can tell you, I'm pretty critical of slack-a-daisical service. As in, I don't let things slide. These kids here who are servers are excellent, and have nice attitudes. I won't go into aesthetic env. much, since this is already a saga. It is nice, & nicer than most pho places- but I actually held that against it until I tasted the food, in case they focused on atmosphere over taste. ;) Pho Factory is a 10. My wife and I live in Omaha. The pho at Pho Factory is so good that we look for excuses to drive to Lincoln so we can eat here. Saying that Pho Factory has the best pho in Nebraska might sound like a backhanded compliment, but it isn't meant to be. Pho Factory makes the best pho I've ever tasted. We've eaten pho at 4 or 5 different restaurants in Omaha, and a couple of very good ones in Grand Island, and the pho has been (at least) very good at all of them. Pho Factory stands out from the pack, however. The restaurant is nice, the staff is friendly and efficient, the portions are very generous, and the prices are quite reasonable. I believe the reason that Pho Factory stands out from the crowd is because of the consistently excellent quality of the soup broth. It's always very fragrant and perfectly seasoned, and makes the ideal foundation for the rest of the dish. I have to confess that I don't have any appreciable experience with most of the rest of the menu. I order a large bowl of the combination beef pho, and I am all set. I usually like to work my way through a restaurant's menu and try a wide variety of dishes, but it's a 50 mile trip to Pho Factory, and I don't get to eat there as often as I'd like. If I ever ordered anything else, I'd likely spend the whole drive home chastising myself for not ordering the pho. Pho Factory rocks! read more

Never tried Pho? Scared of "foreign" food? READ THIS: This restaurant is in my neighborhood, as are several other Vietnamese restaurants including pho shops. I used to drive by them for years, afraid of stereotypes and unsure of what pho was. Until the Pho Factory came. My husband and I got up the nerve to try it on one cold, rainy day. We picked this one because of the nice, new building and the interior decor. Clean, modern, very nice booths and tables. We had no idea what to order, and exactly what we were going to get. Pho is noodle and meat soup. Its rich and flavorful broth is very easy to love, the spices are mild, and actually require condiments to kick up the flavor. The soup is served with sauces, and fresh toppings such as basil, lime and jalapeños, so you can add as much as you desire. Nothing beats it on a cold Lincoln day, and we have lots of them! Back to the Pho Factory. I'm so glad we went here first. They understand non-Asian ignorance, and were very helpful with explanations, ordering and instructions. We consistently find the service to be good, however during busy times, like most restaurants, it is slower. The soup is consistently good, the menu has enough variety for all to enjoy even if they're not soup fans. (Are there even those kinds of people?) The portions are large, and because it is noodle soup, it can be messy (broth splashes from slurping noodles), and takes time to eat. But at the Pho Factory, they know how to take care of you. We love this place and it is now our favorite comfort food. Yes, there are other Pho shops in close proximity as this is a popular Asian shopping area, and they have very competitive Pho. But this is definitely the place to start with the best ambience. It's slightly more $ than the other places, but it's worth it for the education. Notice many low raters are AmAsian? Wow delicious! I got the Chicken Specialty pho. I focused on my chicken and vegetables and was blown away when I got to the end and started eating spoonfuls of broth. Holy hell it was so good! I was super full and just couldn't stop drinking the broth! Also, this is a pretty nice restaurant too. Modern interior, bar, a couple TVs (not loud, maybe on mute). This place was a more upscale pho place, be the standards have gone down significantly. The front of house is just not clean anymore. They have a help wanted sign out front, but basic things like cleaning up boxes or clearing bus bins should still done. I hope the kitchen has kept its standards high. From the taste of the food it appears they have. We waited a long time for service but still felt rushed. We may try this place one more time, but if they don't improve their front of house we will go back to their tried and true competition across the street. read more

I ordered Korean ribs and was given a round piece of beef meat. Clearly this is not what is considered ribs here in the US. When I called they only apologized for the misunderstanding. They did not offer a refund for the misunderstanding. I asked for a manger and was told to call back at another time because there wasn't a manger available.
