    Spring Rolls (2)
    Michaela S.

I tried Vung Tao for the first time today. I ordered egg rolls, spring rolls, and the pho with grilled pork. The egg rolls were crispy and delicious. The spring rolls were good as well. Both appetizers came with a lot of sauce, which I loved. The star of the show was the Pho with grilled pork. The broth and the grilled pork were absolutely incredible. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Just the smell when I walked in the restaurant, I knew the food would be good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was very friendly. Will be back again!

    Amazing Eggrolls (2)

A very solid bowl of Pho! I would describe the Pho as herby on the rich beefy side! The broth is a nice balance if you like sweeter Pho. My favorite part about the soup was the thinly sliced meat, which made it easier to chew. The selection of meat was solid and quality! The eggrolls is a nice starter as well! I enjoyed those! I think a "small" would've been more than enough for me. The Vietnamese coffee was also worthy! Overall, great customer service. Everyone was friendly.

Get the extra meat on the Banh Mi. Delicious sandwich. Great bread. Usually order the pho but this was a great choice

I had heard about its grilled pork pho (Pho Thit Nuong) and wanted to try it out. I had ordered a large bowl with extra meat. The pork was tender and was nicely charred. The broth was rich full of flavor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant decor is simple[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the servers are attentive.

Second time coming here and it was soooo delicious! We got the banh minh bbq pork, vermicelli with grilled pork, spring rolls and egg rolls. Everything tasted great and our server was very nice :)

I'm always a fan of any pho spot so I had to give this place a try. Sadly there were no vegetarian options on the menu so we were getting ready to leave when they told us they offered the tofu noodle bowl which ended up being really good with the peanut sauce. The Pho was also very good and they offered many different variations. I am very happy to have stayed and can't wait to go back!

    Bun Bo hue

The Bun Bo Hue and Vung Tau is AMAZING. I went last weekend after being recommended by a friend. The restaurant had plenty of tables so there was no wait even during a busy lunchtime. Bun Bo Hue -This has been the best Bun Bo Hue in the Midwest. The savory pork/beef broth combined with the various cuts of beef, pork feet and blood cubes made the dish great. Typically, this dish is served extremely spicy; however, I had to ask for additional chili pepper oil after it initially came out with minimal spiciness. Overall, I am impressed with Vung Tau. They are my go-to location for Bun Bo Hue. I look forward to returning to try other dishes on their menu!

Cafe style. Ie order at counter and you pick up at counter…read more They don't bring it to you. Tip is requested for at order Its free seating and its utilitarian. Long tables and metal chairs I had reqyested for less sugar for my milk tea. But it felt like full sugar and was very sweet. Lavender taste was not bad. I ordered a banhwich that had pork pate and pork roll. Ingredients were fresh. It took awhile to come out. The bread was delicious and the pickled vegetables were good. Only gripe : too little meat and a lot of soy. Overall decent for the price - worth a visit

I'm in town for work and I guess I'm homesick or something and wanted Vietnamese banh mi. I never…read morewant Vietnamese sandwiches when I'm home but when I'm thousands of miles away, it's a treat. I saw the yellow Cafe Du Monde coffee cans everywhere as soon as I walked in and smiled. I've been looking at that yellow can since 1981 and telling my dad that I'll go there someday -- I still haven't gone but the memories that the yellow can invokes is quite heartwarming. I had the #20 pork belly sandwich. I mean, of course, I had the pork belly sandwich! You may have told your friends and family, and maybe even coworkers, that you had a Vietnamese sandwich but you actually haven't had THE Vietnamese sandwich until you've the pork belly sandwich. This isn't the kind of sandwich you normally get at tourist stalls in Vietnam. The pork belly sandwich is usually made by some auntie who cares enough about your existence to make you that sandwich at home. The sandwich is flavorful and comes with a crapload of pickled daikon and carrots. Cucumbers and Jalapenos are a plus. If anyone tries to sell you a Vietnamese sandwich without cucumbers, get the FUCK OUT OF THERE. I thought the garlic mayo was a bit salty and overpowering, but that's just me. Oh, the fried eggs is a big fucking plus. I had the Vietnamese iced coffee with boba. The coffee is very good, and I like that they didn't try to cut the condensed milk with heavy cream etc. Service was quick and very professional. I asked a dumb question about raw onions and they took the time to assure me that there won't be any raw onions. That's another thing, if anyone tries to put raw onions in a Vietnamese sandwich, get the FUCK OUT OF THERE!!! There's a really cool outdoor seating area where you can enjoy a quiet meal listening to the sound of cars driving by. I'll definitely be back!
