Lived in Southern CA for nearly 49 years so we have a ton of Asian inspired restaurants. We saw some pics of this one and it seemed similar to what we were used to back in CA. Ambiance: Restaurant is open and airy. Nice contemporary background music playing but not so loud that you can't have a conversation. It's a small family business which we like to support. Although overall fairly clean but could use another person to help clear the tables and sweep the floor. Again, not bad but it could be better. Service: We were greeted by one of the family members, Andrew(son) who gave us a good review of their food and what we might like. He got the water out to us right away. Food: It was amazing. We had the brisket pot sticker with a lemon flavored sauce. Excellent. I had the beef pho and chose the steak and brisket. The broth is flavored with the beef bones. There were a ton of rice noodles and herbs. It all tasted great. My wife's chicken pho was also really favorable. She loved the shredded chicken vs.. chunks of chicken. We were there about a month ago. It was very good. We went back last night. It was a was of time. We had summer rolls and Vietnamese street fries. They were both very good. We ordered hot tea and beef pho with smoked brisket. We asked for the hot tea 4 times during a 45 minute period before we got the tea. The tea was luke warm and so strong it was awful. We could not drink it. After al.oat an hour our soup came. It was barely warm and flavorless. No seasoning whatsoever. Sadly we will not be going back. read more

Decided to stop and try after reading all the positive reviews. I really want to think it was a bad day, week, month? First thing walking in I noticed the very dirt floors, pollen and dirt ALL over. Chose a table anyway, wiped away the seat... so dusty. Was greeted by a young man who was very polite, went ahead and ordered, excited to try the tasty pho other reviews mentioned. As I sat and poked around I began to notice the accumulated dirt and dead bugs on the windows... then.... Noticed the siracha looked funny. Had a weird greenish rainbow color to it...I began to feel uneasy, decided to leave before risking food poisoning. TVs were off, all tables dirty, including counters... don't want to imagine how the kitchen is kept. Looking at other reviews and pictures, seems it was once a very nice looking place. Yikes, guys. Visited last night with a party of 5; I wanted to leave as soon as we walked in but my group wanted to give them a chance. Filthy dining room: busted tiles in the entryway, food on the floor, overflowing garbage cans. Can't even bring myself to explain the bathroom horrors. But the real kicker: 90 minute wait for our food. Kept having to go find our server Marlon for updates. He tried but still, yikes. Food: apps were great, entrees not great. And for sure not worth sitting in a filthy dining room for 90 mins drinking Diet Coke from a can. Bummer read more

I had such an odd experience here. I walked in the door, the music was on, and the sign said open; but there weren't any customers, there wasn't a waiter or waitress at the counter, and the lights were off on all of their menu boards. I could hear people in the back, but nobody was up front. Finally, a waiter came to the counter. I asked if they were open for dine-in, and he said "yes" and that I could sit anywhere. I sat down and he disappeared again. A little while later, he reappeared again with water, chop sticks, and housin sauce. I ordered and he disappeared again. I thought, there wasn't a chance I would ever receive my order, but, to my surprise, after 20 min my food came out. And it was amazing. The pho was great, the large size is really big. Unless you have 2+ hours to wait for pho, I would not recommend this place. Definitely not worth the wait. The waiter was super nice & friendly and did his best to take care of everyone. It took about one hour to get our drinks & appetizers and then another hour or so for our pho. Staff seems to be short and from reading other reviews is a common experience others have. Wait time is very frustrating. Food was okay. Pho was really greasy, no broth however we got the Rangoons & Brisket Bao buns and they were good. Sadly, still not worth the time. This place is so delicious and the service is awesome. My fiancé got the Banh Mi and I got the beef pho with brisket and steak. I am a bit of a critic when it comes to pho because I've been eating it my whole life in a lot of different places. This one definitely is high on my list. The brisket melted in your mouth and the broth was to die for. Definitely a great spot! The ambiance is also very clean and feels new. Happy that there is a pho restaurant in Crown Point. I would personally rate this place at 3.5 but Yelp does not let me rate in 0.5 increments. Pho size/portion is good, however, the broth which is the most essential ingredient of pho tasted sour. I thought the brisket was good and went well with the pho but the meatballs tasted cheap and rubbery. The amount of veggies they gave is not sufficient for two people. I also did not like that they did not have the bottles of sriracha and hoisin sauce out for customers. They only had packets of sauce. Waiter/cashier guy in the front had good customer service. The taro boba is mediocre. Also, the straw they gave us didn't have a sharp end to it so it was difficult to pierce the plastic on top of the boba cup to drink. read more

Food was 10/10 staff is very friendly highly recommend. Came on a busy day so food did take a bit to come out but totally worth it.

The pho soup is very clear and surprisingly has a flavorful great taste of a real beef broth. I would give this Pho a 5-Star review rating if the rice noodles were not over cooked. I also wish they have a real bottle of Sriracha sauce (Huy Fong - rooster) instead of the chili sauce in to go packages. read more
