I'm gonna start my review off by giving them the Golden Seal of Approval upfront!. five stars all…read moreacross the board and an extra star for customer service. If you're having a bad day a happy day if you sick and need something hot you need to stop here and get you a big bowl of beef pho to tickles your fancy you will not be disappointed. Now there are other things on the menu too and I definitely will tell you to try to grill pork chops. Oh my goodness the grilled lemongrass pork chops to be exact. The rice is flavorful! I was just out done with this dish. I had the shrimp spring rolls the bai me sandwiches all were yummy. I keep coming back to Saigon consistency and the taste of the broth, Goodness, It is something about it. I still have not put my finger on it yet. I don't need to cause I keep coming back generous portions dining in or carrying out. The customer service is excellent.!!Sunny is a treat and a delight! He's always willing to give you suggestions if you're indecisive or just wanna try something new I would have never tried Taro smoothie it is delicious. If you are a regular, you are always acknowledge and if you're new to them, you will feel welcomed. Go check them out and yes, they are closed on Mondays because I made a mistake of going one day but came back on Tuesday and Thursday. They sometimes are not open at 11:30 so call remember people this is a family owned business they too-need a break! If you wanna try something authentic, you'll come back. Definitely one of my favorite places to go!

We went to blueberry hill next door which was very mid, and after we got out Saigon was open. We had plans today and wasted time waiting for it to open only for Saigon to open after we had the most mid meal at the place next door, sucks that we could've saved time by going to a much better place that was actually open during their advertised hours. A sign on the door or an update to their Facebook page that they haven't posted to since 2013 would've been nice. I'd give 0/5 stars if I could.

Ambiance: Restaurant is open and airy. Nice contemporary background music playing but not so loud that you can't have a conversation. It's a small family business which we like to support. Although overall fairly clean but could use another person to help clear the tables and sweep the floor. Again, not bad but it could be better. Service: We were greeted by one of the family members, Andrew(son) who gave us a good review of their food and what we might like. He got the water out to us right away. Food: It was amazing. We had the brisket pot sticker with a lemon flavored sauce. Excellent. I had the beef pho and chose the steak and brisket. The broth is flavored with the beef bones. There were a ton of rice noodles and herbs. It all tasted great. My wife's chicken pho was also really favorable. She loved the shredded chicken vs.. chunks of chicken. She loved the broth and can't wait to return.

The ambiance was chill, but overall for the food and service no. The summer rolls were nasty not even real spring roll vibes . The fish sauce was bland and the peanut sauce was mid. Eating healthy with the freshest ingredients is available here. Hardworking friendly owners that provide wonderful food at very reasonable prices make this place a diamond in the rough of Hammond Indiana. I find it fast and easy to order food that arrives promptly via the use of my food that one accesses the menu via one's camera after being focused on a QR Code on their dining tables. Likewise old school photo menus are available that one can read off of can be used to place one's order to a server as well. The place has expanded into the building next door to meet the needs of the demands of its very loyal customer base. If you're not one of their loyal customers, it's most likely because you haven't tried them yet. I would have posted a review of this place long ago but I've waited until now as I didn't want to wait for a table which was a common occurrence prior to them enlarging thier dining room. Thus the best kept secret can now be stated. "Asian Kitchen is the best at what they do!"

Nothing was good. The curry noodle was watery tasting. The egg plant was watery. The Pad Thai was super sweet and did not have a true Tamarind taste. The Drunken noodle lacked flavor and chicken. I'm not sure how the chef can think this is good! It was the worse Thai food I have ever tasted. The only thing half way decent was the fried appetizer platter which is difficult to mess up! I would avoid this place unless they get a new chef or revamp the recipes. Ambiance was lackluster. Half grocery store half restaurant and did not look clean. It seems the owners have given up. I was a big fan of the appetizers like the edamame, potstickers, spring rolls, and the satay chicken. My only complaint was that the crab rangoon filling was overly creamy and lacked flavor. You can tell all of the food is made with lots of love.

Having lived practically next door to Little Saigon in Westminster, CA for decades I'll be frank- I didn't expect really good Vietnamese food in Chicagoland. But we also ordered Cha Gio (pork fried egg rolls) and man- they hit it! They were busy- with food this good, I get it! It had the typical, slightly grungie vibe of Vietnamese restaurants I remember in California - a bit older, needed a paint job, and the walls had some smudges. But it did NOT detract from the food one iota! Will I come here again? Well, yes - as long as I'm willing to brave the sloth-like traffic speeds from I-90 over here, that is - damn. It takes a LONG time to get anywhere in the City (which is why I live in the suburbs). But I'll be back. And if you try this place? I think you'd agree with me- it's good!
