I would def go back here. The food was good, the service was quick, the ambiance was ok, just a small family restaurant. We were able to get in and out. They have a large variety of Vietnamese dishes. The food was great, the meat was marinated in a flavorful sauce, but not too salty.

The other reviews are fairly accurate; the food receives praise, but the service has mixed reviews. During our visit, the service was average, but the food was impressive. I decided to try something new and ordered a banh mi for the first time, deviating from my usual pho order at Vietnamese restaurants. My friends thoroughly enjoyed their pho, which was fragrant and not oily, yet packed with deep flavor. Unfortunately, the dishes came out of order, and I nearly finished my banh mi before my egg rolls arrived. Although the egg rolls, priced at $8 for a small order of four, seemed a bit pricey, they were delicious. The restaurant was almost empty during lunch hour, which made for a quiet dining experience. Final thoughts, while the service could use improvement, the quality of the food at this Vietnamese restaurant makes it worth a visit. If you're willing to overlook the occasional service hiccup, you'll be rewarded with flavorful dishes that are sure to satisfy.

Fresh and flavorful spring rolls with tender shrimp. The restaurant is airy and the service is attentive.

    Ribeye pho

I got the ribeye pho. Meat tasted slightly gamey to me. Beef was more tender but I am not sure it's worth the price of $17. I also think the pho here is more expensive than most places especially being in Indiana. Broth was just okay. I do think it lacks some seasoning. Although I will say the amount of noodles and meat proportion was good. Service was good. Veggie plate didn't have as much bean sprouts, cilantro, limes, basil, mint, and jalapeños for a party of 2.

With at least 40 minutes before closing, the restaurant closed its dinning room. Open for take out.

Pho was really good and authentic tasting. Appetizers were tasty. They package the take out perfectly. I highly recommend.

Nothing was good. The curry noodle was watery tasting. The egg plant was watery. The Pad Thai was super sweet and did not have a true Tamarind taste. The Drunken noodle lacked flavor and chicken. I'm not sure how the chef can think this is good! It was the worse Thai food I have ever tasted. The only thing half way decent was the fried appetizer platter which is difficult to mess up! I would avoid this place unless they get a new chef or revamp the recipes. Ambiance was lackluster. Half grocery store half restaurant and did not look clean. It seems the owners have given up. I was a big fan of the appetizers like the edamame, potstickers, spring rolls, and the satay chicken. My only complaint was that the crab rangoon filling was overly creamy and lacked flavor. The curry was just the perfect amount of spicy. For dessert, the mango sticky rice was the perfect way to cap off a delicious meal. The waitress and owner were very sweet and welcoming. You can tell all of the food is made with lots of love.

Everyone needs a clutch restaurant. The place that always comes through. It's convenient,…read moreconsistent, and, most of all, incredibly good. I've had many clutch spots over the years as I moved around, but it took me a minute to find my North Shore go-to. But here I am, a local for half a year now, and my go-to is Ni's, 100%. Lisa, the owner extraordinaire, is friendly, engaging, and an absolute customer service star. Not to mention a formidable chef. She has an obvious passion for food and its cultural history, and I love talking with her about it. The whole crew at Ni's is awesome and always happy to chat or handle any dish alterations. They clearly care about their clientele, and it's one of the things that keeps me coming back. My "must have" is the veggie summer rolls. I get them every time. Really, really good. And after living in the Vietnamese neighborhood of San Francisco for a few years, eating out almost daily, I've had my fair share of summer rolls. The produce at Ni's is always fresh, and I love how they cleverly use jicama for crunch. The rolls come with peanut sauce, but Ni's makes a delicious vegan fish sauce in-house that I go with almost every time. Banh Mi, Veggie Pho, Crispy Tofu, Fried Rice, I've had everything on the menu that is vegan or can be made so, and I'll gladly order them all again and again. This is not an all-vegan restaurant by any stretch (fear not, meat eaters), but Lisa goes out of her way to have options, and I've never been anything but satisfied. Even my kindergartner is into the veggie Pho broth and summer rolls, and he's not the easiest to please. Wilmette is lucky to have Ni's. I hope everyone knows that. They're tucked around the corner from the busier area of Central Ave and Wilmette Ave, and I've been doing my best to spread the word. "You've never been to Ni's?! Get the hell outta here.." So, if you didn't know, now you do. You're welcome.

A lot of the classics to get. They also have a few vegetarian choices so there's plenty for all tastes. Came at lunch and it wasn't that busy. It's usually a bad sign. Thankfully it wasn't. A lot of the familiar things on the menu. There's of course the banh mi and pho. It's about $13 for the Veggie Pho Chay. This has bamboo and mushrooms. Has a few things to add on. There's basil leaves, bean sprouts, and jalapeños to give it spiciness. Has a great variety of Vietnamese classics. It's closed Tuesdays. There's a few things for vegans and vegetarians.
