I was craving some vietnamese food so I stopped by this place. Their health rating is "good" (one step below excellent). I ordered G6 -Pork, shrimp, and eggroll bun. I saw a picture of it on yelp and thought it looked particularly tasty. The place only had a few tables occupied, maybe 4, but the staff seemed to be very stressed. It took a few minutes to be seated and for the menu to arrive. I ordered and my food arrived in less than 10 minutes. It look similar to the photo. The food was disappointing. The shrimp were hard, as if they had been cooked hours before. I also found random bits of bone and other meats at the bottom of my bowl that didn't match anything else in my bowl. At this point I stopped eating. No one had come to my table to check on me. So I went to the counter to pay. The waitress asked me how my meal was. I was honest. Pho Ha is not the most, er, atmospheric Pho joint I've ever seen; it's kind of dingy, and on a cold day you'll want to sit by one of the space heaters lest you give in to temptation and stick your head in your soup for warmth. The prices are a little higher than you might expect, too. But the pho and other noodle soups are outstanding. It's hard to describe what sets the pho broth apart from some of the other, more generic, ones you find around Seattle, but it's different in a good way: bright, fresh, clear tasting. They have some non-generic ingredients too. My favorite is something called "fatty," which indeed looks fatty and is delicious. The chicken-based soups are great too. And they just started serving the complimentary cream puffs. It's our usual pho stop these days. read more

The first time I came here was because it was the closest pho place to my house and it was open on Sundays. I have kept coming here regularly because they have my favourite broth and a great staff! I always get the crab wontons and the #30 beef pho because they have a great tasting tripe that is never too chewy! They also have a decent selection of various rice and sautee dishes, but the pho is definitely their showpiece! I ate there weekly with a group of friends 10 to 20 people, the menu has a large selection. We all loved the food, the lemongrass beef vermicelli is my favorite. But then one of the wait staff mentioned that THE OWNER KEEPS ALL THE TIPS! Not only is the owner stealing from the staff, that probably only make minimum wage. One of my favorite places to go to if I am ever craving Pho! It's family owned, and the funny part is I went to high school with him! So it's like to see a great restaurant thrive really well. Obviously, their Pho is really yummy! Warms the soul! Lots of different options whether your a carnivore or a vegetarian. They also have lots of different options if you aren't craving Pho. I had to take a star off because they super raised their prices. A dish I'd buy regularly was $11 a few months ago and $16 this time. Too steep for the dish I'm buying. I've struggled a lot with good Vietnamese food places. I saw this place thought I would try it out mainly because the ratings were good and the photos of the place looked good. Tried it out I liked everything about it. The atmosphere was calm the employees were nice the food didn't take long and the food was made with quality care. The broth is cloudy and not hot enough to sear the raw sliced beef (Bo Tai) that it causes bubbles on the top like someone just has spit in the bowl (so gross). I found myself here the other night when the boy and I had a hankering for pho on yet another rainy Seattle night. The only issue was that it was 9:00 and most pho places in the area close at 9:00. Luckily, I have awesome friends who know everything. I texted a friend who works for another pho restaurant and he directed us here. I'm no pho aficionado, but I was happy. I didn't feel like I was getting cheated on the noodles and meat like I do at some places and I thought it was tasty enough for my late(r) in the evening craving. Great staff but poor food. We tried Pho Tai, Curry Chicken and Phad Thai. The Pho was just mediocre - below Than Bros. Both the Curry Chicken and Phad Thai were inedible. The chicken is boiled without any grilling so it has a squishy texture. Both the Curry and Phad Thai sauces were really off. I went here last week and ordered pho with meatball and brisket. The portion of the meat was generous and the texture of the pho was good, and the service was pretty nice. I have been a regular at at least five pho restaurants. This one is my favorite, and the most consistent. The service is good, the food is good (if not great), and the prices very reasonable. We typically order pho (seafood or veggie) or the vermicelli bowls (again, seafood or veggie). The bowls are fantastic and the pho is good. My only complaints would be that you any order the veggie pho in anything but a large, and sometimes it's a little slow getting your food. But these are very minor issues. read more

This place is clean and easy to get to off Aurora. Ambiance is average, although there is an interesting giant mirror in the place that makes you wonder how they even got it in there. Service has been friendly, and I have only ever been here when it was slow so our food has come out in a decent amount of time. I've had the vermicelli bowl and pho from here, both tasted good. First time trying this place, the interior looks updated and nice but unfortunately the food lacked flavor. Got the pork banh mi and pho and both lacked flavor (for the banh mi especially the pork needed more salt/basted with sauce so it gets that good caramelized flavor). Price of pho is higher compared to other pho shops. read more

We were recently in here with a big group of people, they were awesome at trying to accommodate us. Even with all our kids, and families they provided us with the most excellent of services. They are under new ownership which explains the great remodel, and the new broth. My pad Thai was over cooked and didn't taste like pad Thai at all and my wife's fried won tons were dark brown to almost black (burned) and the Bahn Mei was flavorless. I have been going to this place since 2009 and never let down! The service is just as good as the food. It has been fun to see them slowly but surely remodel the place (although I admittedly miss the hole in the wall feeling it had verses now it is more ummmm modern style). Pho Ha is hands down the best pho restaurant my boyfriend and I have ever been to. The service is consistent, the food is good, and the prices are decent. The reason we continue to eat here, however, is the cook/server, Ken. He is amazing at making the food, and a fantastic guy all around. My husband and I came here for date night on the recommendation of an acquaintance. Almost immediately someone came to take our drink orders and give us menus. I ordered a strawberry bubble tea, and my husband got water. I was happy to see a vegetarian section, so I ordered tofu spring rolls for appetizer and the tofu pho. My husband got pot stickers and the beef and brisket pho. We didn't wait long for the apps. He enjoyed his 4 pot stickers, but I could only get through 2 of my 4 spring roll (halves). They came with delicious peanut sauce. The pho came nice and hot. Mine had fresh veggies and herbs - so good! Also bean sprouts, mint, and jalapenos. My husband enjoyed his as well. I took home some of mine since I was full. The manager of the store came to talk to us (was it our first time, did we enjoy our food, etc.). He mentioned they've renovated recently (it looked nice inside and out), and that some of our dishes were over 40 years old. All in all the service was very attentive and friendly. Our bill came to $40 (+tip) which I think was very reasonable for a drink, 2 apps, and 2 pho (with leftovers for me). We'll definitely be back! read more
