I walk by after my workout all the time and I folded. I was tired and didn't feel like cooking. I will not do this again. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. And it was very expensive for what you get. I think I paid around $17 with tax and I left a tip...so I ended up paying over $20 for what you see in the pic...2 small scoops of rice, a very modest portion of beef, one small portion of teriyaki sauce and a pre-mixed salad. I would pay $20 for really good teriyaki made with fresh ingredients...there weren't even any green onions or sesame seeds! lol. I'm pretty sure they're just preparing frozen product. Save $15 and go buy frozen teriyaki at Trader Joe's a few blocks away. read more

Okay, so to start off I'd like to say that I'm very picky about my teriyaki. I grew up eating teriyaki my whole life and there's a specific style of teriyaki I've been craving for years now and I think I just found my new spot! I don't really know how to describe it but the chicken has to be tender and juicy. I know, you would think all places would be but nope, I've had some bad teriyaki. So this was the closest to our new place and I needed to try it out! Definitely did not disappoint. My husband and I ordered the chicken teriyaki and beef yakisoba. DELICIOUS! This was our first time eating here. Our oldest loves this location as well as her fiancé. We all went as a large group for dinner. Everyone ordered a variety of dishes and every single dish was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food. My two youngest children ordered Boba drinks the Mango flavored and they loved them. I have pictured just a few of the items that we ordered. The owner, he was extremely welcoming and so very nice. He was a pleasure to speak with. We will be back to eat here again. If you have never eaten here before, you should considered going! The portions are large so there is enough to share as well. Hit and miss, but decent chicken teriyaki! We tried a variety of items: crab Rangoon, chicken teriyaki, and a chicken bento box. The crab Rangoon had an odd taste and was not very good. The bento box had a nice variety of items, but the edamame was also not very good. The chicken teriyaki itself was solid, the sauce was good as was the rice. The included salad was better than others from similar places, I liked the dressing. If you're hungry it will fill you up, but nothing particularly stood out. read more

The food was mediocre. But the service was excellent. I came here with my baby granddaughter. I usually take her for a walk, so she gets a change of environment. Got hungry during the walk, so stopped by here to order the bento chicken box. The woman helping me was lovely. She took an interest in my baby girl and interacted with her. I got a basic bento box. Slightly disappointed it did not include miso soup. Love the soup. Tried to eat fast. But baby girl was fussy while I ate. Kudos to the helpful lady at the counter, who helped box my food when baby got too fussy to stay. She even came over to help fasten my takeout container. So nice to have the personal interaction with staff here. side note, I have been coming here for over ten years and seen many changes. The original staff was a young, grumpy man who alienated many customers. Would not have received the caring service I got today, in the past. The service today merited top stars for helpfulness. There is a great menu here. There are lots of options. I just got the chicken and gyoza. It was excellent. The Gyoza was full and the chicken was not overly marinated and had some nice char. We tried this place at the recommendation of a friend and it's the best we've had. 100% worth the drive from Seattle to Shoreline to get takeout. I had the salmon bento box and my husband had beef shortribs teriyaki. Both were soooooo good! The salmon was perfectly cooked and flavored, the salmon of my dreams. It came with perfectly cooked rice, edamame, California roll, and tempura shrimp. My husband had beef shortribs and with the first bite declared it the best he's had. This is one of my usual spots for lunch because they are reliable. I've never seen it very crowded and usually dine in because it is always so quiet. I have had many of their selections but the tofu fried rice is my favorite. It's not overly greasy and I love the way the tofu is lightly fried. The space is a basic and clean. It would be nice if they would lighten the place up, as it is a bit dark in there. The teriyaki is not the best I've had, but it is decent. The staff is small, but always friendly. read more

Arrrived at 8:00, restaurant closes at 8:30. Got our food handed to us in to-go bags as we were seated at a table. Asked if we could eat our meal in the restaurant - along with two other families that were eating their meals. Guy said "no" flat out - "we close soon". So instead, we drove home for 40 minutes with our to-go bags and had luke-warm food. Food was just ok. Yakisoba was decent, gyozas were good, chicken katsu was very dry and hard. Came in on a Friday at 7pm and the line was crazy long but I was craving some Teriyaki so I waited it out. Glad I did!! I ordered the combo chicken and gyoza and made the chicken the spicy version . The total was $10.99 including tax, which for how much food I got was totally a good price. There was definitely enough for two to split (or leftovers). The chicken was in fact spicy which I like since I hate when it's billed as spicy and isn't. While I was waiting I had a chance to look at other orders coming out to the tables. We've been coming here since they opened, many years ago and the food was always pretty good. Freshly cooked and while the menu varied and added a bunch of other Asian dishes that aren't strictly teriyaki, even those were still pretty good. But this last time was pretty average to below average food. The chicken teriyaki was really dry and the beef teriyaki was stringy and full of fat chunks. I love Asian food, all kinds, and I'm especially fond of Japanese food (or at least the Americanized versions of Japanese food we eat here). So I've had just about every kind of teriyaki under the sun, good, bad, amazing and "should I go to the emergency room". This was just bad, not inedible, but not worth stopping in again either. Count me disappointed. The menu had changed again, so I'm assuming new owners? So, anyway, I'm Off to look for a better teriyaki take out place again. Caveats: Your mileage may vary. The ingredients are fresh and the food is delicious. I usually pick up. The staff seems nice. I like that they have some healthy selections.

I bought an avocado roll (Sushi) here because I follow a vegan diet. The texture and taste of the rice were just like mayonnaise, not vinegar, salt and sugar as they're supposed to be. The Katsu bento box is a ton of food and their normal teriyaki hits the spot when you just want something straight up and comforting. The person at the counter was ve friendly and explained a few things I was not familiar with. I had the teriyaki and katsu combo. I've never had katsu before and it was pretty darn good here.
