We would really wanted to try this place however their QR code doesn't work even though we were able to place and pay for our order. We were the only people in the place and they couldn't bother to ask if ordered after being there for over 15 minutes. We finally had to go up and ring the bell for someone to come out. We popped in finally to grab a bite after a strenuous hike and I can say, I can't believe we so long to stop in! There is free parking in the structure with parking attendant-type of guy watching and timing you but it is free. Weird but whatever-reminded me of a Chicago parking lot where they'd boot you if you didn't go to the store it was for. ANYWAY....the shop is cute and there is a window table setup if you are going to order and dine in. The menu is small but to the point, definitely a great list for grabbing 'n go type food. My husband got a curry chicken rice bowl while I had the tofu banh mi with a strawberry smoothie. The smoothie is made with yogurt and was super refreshing, the boba was the right consistency. My banh mi was warm and delicious (should have ordered 2), filling, and still left me wanting more. My husband was very happy with his rice bowl as well. We will be back more often - no more just driving past on the way home! If you live in the area, I recommend trying them out, especially after some crazy fitness time! read more

Super friendly worker and food was so fresh and delicious and made top notch for fast Vietnamese food. Wall was covered with customers artwork. I ordered the secret menu item, Curry Chicken Rice (lemon grass chicken), came w/ some pickled greens and carrots and I was unsure about it until I tried it.. was very impressed with the flavor pallet. Everything went together so well. I also ordered the Mango Milk Tea with mango jelly and it was splendid and I recommend it for anyone who likes mangos and milk tea. Good option for local banh mi! Was coming home from shoreline and happened to come here. I liked the chicken curry banh mi! Love curry and banh mi and never thought to put them together- GENIUS!!! It's located underneath some apartments and there's some parking in a parking garage. Not sure how I feel about the parking garage though- it was some pretty tight spaces LOL but there's also ample street parking across from the banh mi. Will come back to try more :) read more

Being so close to my home, I thought I finally found a go to place for those random banh mi cravings. Sadly, I was disappointed. What I order was their popular chicken curry banh mi and a ice coffee. Right off the bat, the weight of the sandwich was on the lighter side. Being under $10, can't complain about that. There is only 3 components to this banh mi sandwich. 1. Bread - It didn't scrape the roof of my mouth, but if it was toasted for a second longer, it might of. 2. Meat - Simple chicken curry. I was able to taste it even though there were barely any chunks of chicken in it, so flavor wise, it was fine, but chicken seemed like those cheap canned chicken chunks. Again.. under $10, I shouldn't complain about that...(/slow breathing, inner voice). 3. Vegetables - Includes pickled papaya, carrot, cilantro and jalapenos. What I got was 80% carrots. No cucumbers? And this was the main complaint I had of this sandwich, it was more like pickled carrot banh mi rather than curry chicken. The coffee was good though. read more

This place is close to our house. The sandwiches and bites are simple and straightforward and very good. I always get the lemon chicken sandwich and it comes with jalapeños and cilantro. It's a very reasonable lunch option out here and is very filling. This is another one of our go-to's for a lunch carry-out when we want something tasty and don't want to spend a ton of money. Because of how close this location was it quickly became my go-to after a few visits because I always get amazed by how fast and friendly the staff are! I'm a fan of their Veggie Banh Mi, which tastes just as good as the more traditional banh mis out there! Not to mention this place offers boba which is a big plus for on-to-go cuisine! read more

Stopped by again many months later when in the area recently. I had knocked the restaurant a bit back in August for the prices. However, I noticed something on my last visit. 1) All of their employees continue to wear masks for my safety and theirs even though no longer required by law. 2) Their chips were only $1 when they could probably easily charge more. 3) The price of the Banh Mi had not increased since my last visit, even though many other restaurants are using inflation as an excuse to raise prices on EVERYTHING even if they actually still cost the same or even less wholesale. 4) instead of charging a fee to use a credit card, they post a note asking nicely to use cash on purchases under $10. To which I respond by gladly pulling out cash to help you out. Lastly, the service was just friendly and the food was good. Great job running your business, guys! I will try to be in the area and visit more often! read more

Not my taste (2*) but overall service was fine, so giving an a-ok 3* overall. I really like bahn mi so we tried a few different bahn mi (traditional, beef, curry chicken, and pork), but I wouldn't order any of them again. General: Taste was pretty fresh, but everything was overall too sweet. The pickled veg (carrots and daikon) needed more vinegar and didn't help with the over all sweet taste. There was a good amount of cilantro, but generally no jalapeños so if you like that addition, I only saw it on the pork. Bread was fine, a French roll that was pretty airy and chewy with a hint of crunch, but it wasn't my favorite. The bahn mi on bread closer to baguettes are tastier. Pork - 3* Best of the lot. Least sweet, but still a bit too sweet for my taste. Needed more salt and acid and adding siracha did help. Was the only bahn mi with jalapeño slices, which actually helped the flavor. Conclusion: best of the four I tried. Traditional - 2.75* Usually my favorite, but balance of acid was off, and something about the meat/pate tasted really tinny and processed. Maybe it was their supplier, but I didn't enjoy it. Again, adding siracha did help cut down on the metallic and preservative flavor, but I wouldn't order again. Conclusion: wouldn't recommend. Beef - 2.5* I expected the beef to be sweet, and it was, but since the veg was already sweet, it was just too sweet. Beef might taste better in a different context. Conclusion: if you like sweet beef, go for this Curry Chicken - 1* I've had Vietnamese curry chicken and it's a very sweet yellow curry, so I thought I knew what I was getting going in. However, paired with everything else, it almost tasted like an overly sweetened lemongrass cereal. The bread was too dense, the sweetness was too overwhelming, there was barely any curry flavor, and every other bite was just strong lemon grass. Conclusion: if you like sugared lemongrass bread, this if for you. All in all, I really wanted to like it, and I feel bad giving lower than 3*, but the flavors were really not to my taste. read more

The shop is so cute! I didn't know it existed even though it's not too far from the freeway. This review is mainly for the traditional banh mi. The bread is very fresh. There is a lot of white "inner" bread as opposed to some banh mi bread that's mainly crust. That being said it seems like there isn't much filling compared. I didn't detect much pate or soy sauce of any kind. But the cold cuts were nice if not a little plain. The pickled vegetables were shredded very fine compared to the usual square thicker version. ~$5 If I would change anything it would be to add pate and maybe the usual head cheese. But I think this way, without is more accessible to most people. All in all very nice and fresh. I would come again to try another banh mi. read more

Now, I'm not one to throw the word "excellent" around, but the food here was just that, excellent. This is the first time I've eaten here since they opened and I was not disappointed. When I get Banh Mi's from other places I usually go with the pork or beef, but I noticed they had a curry chicken sandwich and it was amazing. Sweet and sort of spicy, loaded with meat and veggies, fresh bread, the whole nine yards. I love the pickled veggies. They use papaya instead of daikon radish and it's a perfect swap out. I asked for extra veggies and they loaded it up, no extra charge. We also tried the tofu rice bowl. If someone hadn't told me it was tofu I would have thought it was sweet pork. Very delicious. My wife wasn't a huge banh mi fan before, but this place changed her whole outlook on them. Highly recommend and will be returning. read more

I was surprised how much I liked the banh mi bites. They slice up the baguette and top it with sauce, veggies, and your choice of topping. The actual sandwich was lacking a bit, the amount of meat and sauce was too little for me, and it didn't have the flavor of the bites. The baguette was a bit tough. Tried a milk tea as well, too sweet & expensive to get again. Overall positive, loved the bites. Would like to see them add some more hearty meat options like grilled pork or chicken. read more

Came here looking for a quick lunch and this spot did not disappoint! It's tucked away a little bit in the building (we saw lots of signage for the brewery before finding Banh Mi Bites) so definitely make sure to walk around the corner. Service was friendly and nice - we definitely took our time reviewing the menu and didn't feel rushed at all. We were here on a weekday at 1pm and there were a couple of other patrons but plenty of seating available. We ordered two banh mi sandwiches - the one with two types of Vietnamese ham and the pork one. The woman at the register was very accommodating with my request for extra jalapeños (which were free) which I appreciated! Sandwiches were served on warm bread that was a good mix of crusty without being too hard that it hurt my mouth. The pork one had a good balance of meat to pickled veggies to jalapeños to cilantro to mayo and I would highly recommend. The ham one was good but there wasn't enough meat to counterbalance the rest of the ingredients. Pricing was super reasonable for the portions - will definitely be back! read more

These are definitely the best Banh Mi sandwiches we have tried in a long time. The bread had a nice crispy exterior, but not the cut the top of your mouth crispy. The chicken was delicious and had just the right sweet and savory characteristics of well marinated meat. Plus, it was high quality meat. Not a piece of fat or sinew to be found. My wife normally goes for tofu at Vietnamese restaurants because of issues she has with the meat, but not here. She said "it's a good thing we don't live closer or I would be there every day." We loved the pickled green papaya, definitely an upgrade from the standard daikon. However, I might think about adding pickled daikon to the mix because it has an extra crunch factor that I would like, however, between the two, green papaya is much better. We also tried the tofu rice dish and it was essentially a tofu Banh Mi on rice (as you would expect). It was awesome. Finally, the milk tea drinks are on point. You need to get one of these to round out your experience. We had the mango milk tea and will get it again next time. We will be back very soon. You know the food was good when you forgot to take a picture of it. I got the meatball rice bowl and pandan milk tea. This was my first time trying this place and the worker is very nice! I don't usually see meatballs in banh mi or with rice but I had to try it. I'm glad I did. It was so flavorful and delicious. The pandan milk tea was way too good. I've been coming here since they opened back in 2018 and it's one of my favorite spots when I'm hankering for a sandwich. A Banh Mi Chicken and Meatball skewers make for the perfect meal (sandwich hack put one of the skewers on the sandwich for a *chefs kiss* good time). It was a great pork banh mi. It's a shredded, marinated pork, very flavorful. Their milk teas are made with whole milk, I wish they offered dairy free options. Been meaning to come here since they opened (tried early on when they first opened but they were just closing) and am now kicking myself that we haven't tried to come back sooner. I had the banh mi chicken sandwich and the husband got the loaded chicken sandwich and we took them next door to Hemlock to eat. The bread was fresh and soft but with a nice exterior crunch. The chicken was tender and flavorful, the pickled veggies, cilantro and jalepenos were refreshing. I inhaled my sandwich and wished we'd gotten a 3rd one to split. I love banh mi! But this place didn't really "wow" me. I got the meatball and it smelled so much of fish sauce. That it was really over powering and I decided not to eat it anymore. I just left it in the fridge and threw it away the following day. The place is cleaner than most deli shops so I would give them that. And their service was fast and had good customer service. But other than that, I wouldn't come back here. The pricing for the size of the banh mi is out of proportion. I could get one in Chinatown for a foot long for about $4 or buy 5 and get one for free. Also their Vietnamese coffee was outrageously priced quite high than majority of the other delis that I have been to. But still give it a try for your own tastebuds. read more
