R 6. Grilled Beef Short Ribs served with Carrots & Cucumbers

Spend my last meal in WA here before I move to CA, the staff is always so friendly and I love the peanut sauce/spring rolls and the short ribs!

Was craving some pho and didn't feel like fighting traffic to go to my 'go to' spot further north, so decided to try this place as it's super close to home. The woman at the counter was nice and answered some questions i had then I ordered the chicken, tofu, broccoli, & carrots pho and the wontons to go. It took a little longer than I expected to get my order considering it was a little after 4pm and only one person was eating in the restaurant. The girl at the counter spent the whole time chatting with the guy who was eating and then sat down at his table and continued to talk. Eventually the food was ready so I went home to eat. Started with wontons which weren't bad - a little tough/chewy on the crimped dough edge which was thicker and a lot harder to chew. I was disappointed in the pho as there wasn't a lot of broth which was also a bit too sweet in my opinion and there wasn't much basil or bean sprouts either. I had been excited to try an option that had chicken with vegetables for the pho...but the amount of chicken was just a few shreds. It should have been called broccoli, carrots, tofu, and a hint of chicken pho. Will I go back? Maybe if I'm being lazy and don't feel like driving further to get better pho at a better price.

Just had lunch here today!! I got the beef pho and my sister got the vermicelli bowl. It was so good and the location is easy to get to with great parking. The facilities are beautiful and clean. Thank you for a great lunch, we will come back ^__^ (especially to the lovely Leanna!)

Restaurant interior. A tad small, but nice nonetheless

So good! I had the chicken banh mi and my partner had the tofu. Right from the first bite and taste of the bread we could tell it was gonna be great. The girl at the counter was very nice. The place felt bright and clean. I'm excited to try the pho, AND they have avocado smoothies on the menu!!! We wanted to get one to go but a huge group came in, so we decided to wait until next time. And there will be many next times. I'm very glad for this new addition to the neighborhood

This place has the best pho I've ever had. I also ordered a pork Banh mi and it was so filled with flavor. The girl at the front was very friendly and welcoming. WILL BE BACK!!!

Very clean, updated space with excellent service and truly delicious food! I had the classic pho + papaya salad combo, added grilled side beef and Thai iced tea. Everything was amazing. Fresh veggies, quality meats, and great pho broth! Will come back for more.

I've ordered sandwiches to go 2-3 times, but none of them were heated, and they tasted cold. I hope the restaurant will address this issue.

They're all a bit older so be patient when it's busy. I had seen their banh canh cua all over IG so I was curious since I wanted to see how it differs from the one I make at home. My friend and I came for lunch and the bowl was huge. I was hoping to get crab in the shell but didn't mind the de shelled meat instead. The broth is thick but light. I thought it was going to be sweet but was so pleasantly surprised it wasn't. Lots of yummy goodness. They make the noodles in house and I can tell because the cuts were uneven. Though it was on the softer side than what I normally liked, it was still a good bowl of noodle soup. I would have preferred the noodles to be a bit chewier but I also know how tedious it is to make fresh if they're doing all of that per bowl. There was "rieu" which is the crab mixture and I really like the flavor that has. It came with fried donuts to dipped and I loved that! We usually only eat the fried donut with chao so for me personally it was a nice treat. I left pretty full and happy. My friends sat there for an hour after eating just yapping away and I'm glad they didn't kick us out haha. They just cleaned around us and sat there enjoying their lunch. I will probably bring my mom and siblings here to try out other dishes! I will say, if you like things spicier I'd recommend bringing your own chili peppers haha. I drowned my bowl in their chili oil and sriracha and it wasn't spicy at all.

I hadn't eaten here In years and my wife never. They used to give a nice refreshing lychee water drink with a long dessert spoon for the fruit which I remember loving long ago. Many other tables had them but we were never offered it as service was brisk yet not very friendly. I ordered a Dac Biet pho (my regular choice) but they don't have tripe??? I usually pass on pho restaurants that don't serve tripe and tendon. I was at best average but honestly not near the best I've ever had in the US or Vietnam. At almost $20 for a bowl I wasn't impressed enough to say "let's go back". My wife ordered the pork vermicelli bowl (her usual). She liked it ok and I tried a bit. Again pretty tasty and in my opinion a better dish than their pho, but not worthy of returning over other choices. Overall if you are comfortable parking in a tight little parking lot to eat average food in a little old building it's not a bad choice. But I would not purposefully go back even though we shop often at Costco and Home Depot nearby.

It has that hole-in-the-wall feel off Aurora, but honestly, this is some of the best Vietnamese food I have ever had. I am Vietnamese myself, and I have been looking for months, really years, for a Vietnamese restaurant in the Seattle area that actually feels worth coming back to. A lot of places have been average, or they have dishes like bún riêu or bún bò Huế on the menu but do not really do them well. Lotus Pond does. I tried the bún riêu and the bò né with steak and sizzling eggs, and both were delicious. My friend got the seafood pho and loved it too. Everything tasted like someone actually cared about the food, and I really appreciated seeing menu items that you usually have to search far and wide for, or go somewhere like Orange County or Houston to find done properly. The only downside is that it is definitely on the expensive side, but I will absolutely be coming back. The outside may not be flashy, but the food is seriously worth it.

Fast forward a year later to a Sunday at 12:30pm and I finally made the long drive here without going through Aurora Ave since my GPS randomly decided to give my road rage some grace. This place has plenty parking around the perimeter, so it was easy settling in. Only confusion was finding the entrance to this place, but when I did I was actually surprised where I was stepping into. Inside is laid back and cool with plenty of seating for groups of various sizes. There's tables and booths, and I got booth seating for myself when I walked in. There's a TV playing sports nearby where I was, and Vietnamese pop music was playing in the background too. Menu consists of regular foods in most Vietnamese restaurants, though their provincial noodle soups and banh mi sandwiches caught my eye. They even have bún măng vịt (duck and bamboo shoot noodle soup), my favorite that I gotta try next time I come here! From my IG feeds and as a starting point, I got their bánh mì thịt heo nướng (grilled pork Vietnamese sandwich), which comes with all the works of a regular banh mi sandwich, though I was kinda surprised how brightly orange the grilled pork was. Regardless, it was tasty and the meat was juicy. The pork pate added a nice savory touch to the sandwich, and no other condiment was in excess that it took away taste from the flavorful grilled pork. Staff was very kind throughout, and refilled my water every now and then. It was also nice chatting with one of them about our day and other recommendations from the menu. There's so much to have on their menu so I need to make the drive here again to have more of their stuff!

The small is already huge (and I couldn't finish it); advise against ordering the large unless you're really hungry! The staff was very friendly and attentive.
