Small chicken pho
Connie T.

The chicken pho is so good. The ordered a dark meat small chicken pho n I usually can't finish it. I drink most of the soup but feel a bit thirsty afterwards so there might be msg . However overall flavor of the chicken is good and they have ginger and soya sauce for dipping. Ambiance is casual n service is average.

Just got raped for dark meat they charged me extra 7 dollars. The owner is shady. Got diarrhea from the raw chicken they serve. Me no love you long time.

This spot specializes in northern-style chicken pho -- and honestly, the chicken here is phenomenal. Easily one of the best Vietnamese canto-style chickens I've ever had. The meat is juicy, tender, and somehow still has that light, crisp texture (even the chicken breast!). Highly recommend ordering a half chicken to share with a friend and pairing it with a large pho -- it's the perfect combo. Next time I'm definitely trying their bánh cuốn, which looked amazing at the next table. The place itself is tucked inside a very unassuming plaza, but super clean and welcoming. The owner is incredibly sweet and kind, and you can tell they take real pride in what they serve. Bonus points: there's an EVgo charger right outside, so you can top up your car while you enjoy your chicken pho -- impeccable timing! Absolutely coming back. Hope this place sticks around for a long time.

came in on monday at 6pm, we were the only ones there and the staff were friendly. we ordered 2 small pho ga and it came instantly, not too long of a wait. pho ga is usually one of the underrated "noodles" compared to pho but i really liked this place. it was delicious and fresh. i was comfortable in the seating environment as well. HOWEVER, i'm giving it a 4 stars because the chicken was too chewy making it hard to eat and it would get stuck in my teeth. i wished they boiled it for longer so the meat is tender. otherwise, would return if in the area. note - cash only but accepts zelle and venmo

My family and I came here on a whim since we're driving through the area and were hungry. This is definitely a nice clean hole-in-the-wall authentic Vietnamese restaurant! It's not a huge place, just right for an enjoyable lunch or dinner. We met the owner, a nice Vietnamese lady who was very kind and attentive to our table. She gave great suggestions for what to order, and our entire meal was just perfect. We ordered our standard large pho with beef flank with extra noodle, a Vietnamese Iced Coffee, a Passionfruit Lemonade, and a Special Hai Nam Rice with Chicken, which was the owner's recommendation. The pho came out right away, which was nice not having to wait for our order. Everyone in our party of three really enjoyed the food and would love to come back again the next time we're in the area to try the other items on the menu!

The service is great. The portions are generous. I ordered over the phone and took my items to go.

Clear broth noodle. No meat, no flavor.

Anyone who knows me also know a I'm always for supporting small, family owned businesses. So when this place popped up on my food search, I was more than happy to try them out. That said, I really wish small biz owners would learn how to treat their customers, especially during trying times like this. We went for lunch and there were only a couple of tables finishing up. The man barely acknowledged us so we just sat down. After a while, I got up to look for the menu myself. I had to try their signature Pho Ga (chicken noodle soup) We also wanted the BBQ beef rice plate, but was told they don't have anything BBQ. Since my wife and kid aren't fans of hai nan style chicken, they just ordered a clear broth noodle, which is essentially that ... no meat or veggies. And also an order of hai nan rice, sans chicken. This is supposed to be a very fragrant rice that's really good on its own and to compliment the chicken, but the rice was very bland. It was almost like plain white rice. The clear broth noodles lacked flavor as the broth was different than the Pho Ga. Their signature Pho Ga was ok. But I don't get what everyone's raving about. It's a big bowl of noodles in decent broth and some pieces of plain chicken, served with a plate of sprouts. No basil, cilantro nor jalapeños as most pho places offer. When I asked for the check, he went back to the register to add up the tab, then shouted across the room my total bill. That's the first time I've ever gotten a verbal bill. I get the fact that they're likely short staffed and running a skeleton crew, but the attitude towards customers change based on if it's a table full of young ladies or not. The man was more patient in explaining the sauces and how to properly eat dishes to them, and not so much to us. I always try to help out family run businesses whenever I can, even when the food isn't the best. But when the owners act like they don't really care for your business, it's hard to want to return and support them further. Reading other reviews, it seems when they had their kids working there, things ran much smoother and had better service. The man appeared rude or short with customers, and take out orders is probably a better idea. My experience is a 2.5 / 5, but rounding up to 3 only because it's a family run business.

Banh cuon

I was craving banh coun and found this place around my area. The portion is good for the price and it was really decent and good. The noodles were soft and fresh. I would come back for it. I also tried their chicken pho. It was alright, I wouldn't get it again.

Very classic restaurant with a small menu. They have a few types of Pho and a few other dishes. We decided to just stop by while in the area. We were greeted by the owner and she sat us down. We placed our order and sat down in this quaint place. We ordered the rare beef Pho and a Hainan chicken rice. The pho was very fresh and the food tasted like it was homemade. Will definitely go again if we are nearby!

Very good pho ga here!! They use the slightly wide north Vietnam pho noodles. There are a few ways you can order this.. there is the typical Pho Ga order that comes with noodles chicken and broth. If you're ordering for a family or a small group, I would suggest to order the plain noodle soup that's just pho and broth, then order a half or whole steamed chicken to share as the topping! You get more noodles and bang for your buck that way! Pros: -Very friendly service! Picks up the phone fast and orders are usually ready in 15-20min. They set up a table at the front door with a protector screen for pickup orders (phone and in person) -Can speak Vietnamese and English -the owner lady is very nice and sweet! I think this is family owned! -delicious pho ga! The chicken broth is clear, flavorful and not MSG -chicken is very moist and tender and flavorful too! -chicken also comes with this delicious salty and sweet soy sauce to dip your chicken in. And also ground ginger and garlic! -very good for the price! I've gone here two fridays in a row already for lunch! -one order is a lot! You can split it in half or two can share an order! -they also have chicken and rice and other rice dishes too! -Egg rolls are big but only filled with meat, vermicelli and maybe turnip cake like stuffing? Cons: -Cash only! -the beef flank pho still uses the chicken broth instead of beef broth so it may be a weird combo -they only have the one type of slightly wide pho noodles Note: -bean sprouts are steamed and hidden underneath the noodles

I would rate it anywhere between 4-5 stars. It's probably my top 3 pick pho ga in the Sgv.

She immediately yelled at us that they're super busy today and implying that we were being rude to her for asking. 10 minutes go by, we ask another server. She also gets upset but doesn't yell. We later just asked for it to just be taken off the bill since we were already done eating and the chow fun still hadn't come. That's when the owner/manager came in and started sweet talking us. She was apologizing and even touched my baby sister's face. We still said we didn't want it anymore. They brought it out and kept apologizing. We had to take it to go since she no longer had appetite to eat. I am insanely upset and disappointed that they'd dare to yell at us and especially in front of a child for simply asking for an update. We also overheard that the two tables next to us had to also wait a long time for their chow fun/chow mein. The servers were not particularly nice to them either. If there is a wait for a certain dish, please let your customers know . It is absolutely not on them that your kitchen is backed up. I love my community, but this was the most childish staff I've ever encountered. TLDR; workers yelled at us for simply asking where our food is. Horrible service. Tried kissing up to us after they realized their mistake.

In a time where restaurant prices are skyrocketing, their pricing remains incredibly reasonable for the amount of high-quality, comforting food you get. The broth is deeply flavorful, the noodles have that perfect, authentic texture, and everything came out piping hot and fresh. It's the kind of no-nonsense, reliable spot you want to return to again and again. Fast service, great food, and excellent value. I'll definitely be back! The only things that was disappointing was that they didn't speak Teochew dialect, given that the style of noodles soups are base from that region.

The food is meh, but the service is awful. They speak little English but can probably understand body language. I asked to make one dish spicy, and the server said to use the hot sauce that's on the table. Of the three things I tried, none of them made me want to come back unfortunately. #1 Assorted meat and shrimp $13.95 - I got rice noodle with soup. The soup was so bland! I couldn't believe they want you to add salt to taste. $12 Beef stew $13.95 - I got thin egg noodles. The noodles were not cut, so it was hard to share. The sauce was too much tomato for my preference. Meat was tender. #20 Cubed filet mignon $16.95 - I got thick egg noodles. These noodles were easier to eat. The steak was the best part. The sauce was a tad sweet. It came with a bowl of plain soup. The hot sauce on the table is good but not spicy enough. Bathroom available. Credit card accepted. Parking lot in the back.

The cold jelly dish (mung bean) is AMAZING. Who knew such a small unassuming mom and pop shop could rival some of the Michelin spots we've ventured to. But honestly, most food that's made like your Mama made it is obviously gonna be better than any restaurant you ever go to. This is like they just happened to have a restaurant in their home. The rice noodles were cooked perfectly -- still had a nice bite to them instead of turning mushy like a lot of places do if you don't eat fast enough.
