I LOVE this place! As someone who's Vietnamese, this just hits my soul. Perfect flavor on the dry noodles and you can mix it with the soup on the side which is so flavorful also. I always crave this place and have to stop by when I visit. Service is friendly though a bit hectic because it is always so busy there. If you like yellow noodle soups or hu tieu, I'd definitely come here to try their dry version. So so good and a variety of different versions that vary in what toppings you get.

Came here yesterday for lunch with a buddy. This is the OG Kim Ky and still the best of all the Trieu Chau noodle spots. The broth actually has flavor and doesn't need extra condiments like you'd find at other places. We ordered the Hu Tieu Trieu Chau Thap Cam with flat rice noodle and thin egg noodle. I got mine dry with the broth on the side. We also had a Chinese donut (dau cha quay), which was perfect for dipping. Drinks come with complimentary iced tea. The food is hands down 5 stars. The satay and pickled chili here take the noodles to the next level. But the ambiance can get pretty loud, the decor is bare bones, and the service is your standard mom and pop style. Parking can also be a bit of a headache since the plaza is so busy. Overall, I'd rate this 4 stars. The food is amazing and keeps me coming back, but the atmosphere and service bring it down a notch. Still, this is the noodle spot I recommend to friends and family whenever cravings hit.

Restaurants like these are why 626 is known to have the best Chinese food!! I am teo chew so this restaurant just hits home and is so consistent and reliable. Recommend the rice cake with egg and a nice bowl of flat rice noodles with sole filet and fish balls. The satay beef noodles is really good too. The portions here are super generous so you'll definitely leave feeling very satisfied

This place is located on garvey inside a shopping plaza called Vikon Center. Plenty of parking in there and there is street parking as well. Kim Ky is different from kim kee and it's 2 separate restaurants so don't get them mixed up. Both are really similar and both have their signature fish fried fish cakes. They have 3 different locations: one in San Gabriel on San Gabriel Blvd, one in Rosemead on Garvey Ave and one in Westminster. Make sure you bring CASH because it's cash only! Food is decent! Service is great! Servers are friendly and helpful! Make sure you order their fried fish cakes because it's one of their signature dish. For the food alone, i would give it a 4 star. Interior is old and not as clean so I would give it a 3.5 but I gave them a 5 because i didn't bring cash and they helped me out. Yes, they can always find ways but its also something they set as rules and they were still friendly and helped me out when I didnt bring cash.

Kim Ky is staple. Very delicious and very fast. I went here recently and tried something new. I usually get the fish and chicken. The sauce is amazing! I love the soup broth. Cash only, so bring cash!

Menu selections of soups are numerous and the type of noodle (rice, egg, vermicelli or wide) makes it a good place to eat. The restaurant opens at 8 AM so you can start the day with a hot bowl of broth with a protein of your liking. Service is prompt, either in English or Vietnamese. Just remember that payment is cash only.

Came here on a Sunday morning, since my friend and I were craving for some bay area style "TK Noodle" My friend had told me this place serves a noodle soup that tastes very much like the ones we have in San Jose.... so had to try. This place was busy in the morning and we had to take a number. We waited for about 20 minutes. The restaurant was clean, and despite located in an old plaza, it was good to see that they kept their level of cleanliness. I ordered their Vermicelli Noodle soup and their Daikon with egg dish. The noodle soup tasted excellent. It was just like the ones I used to have in San Jose. Of course, I selected the flat noodle. The Daikon dish was just OK, would probably skip it next time. Will definitely be coming here again.

11/14/24: fried fish cake. Im just ok with this kinda fish cake. Good but I prefer Taiwanese fish cake (Taiwanese tempura) lol

Date of visit: 11/14/2024 Not my first visit here, and again, I couldn't believe myself for failing to write a review until now! So anyways, there are several locations of Kim Ky noodle. I'm not sure if they are all owned by the same person or if they are all separately owned and operated. Out of all Kim Kys, I feel this location is the most consistent one in terms of the flavor of their noodle. Whenever I go to Teow Chew noodle place, I always order the same thing: the assorted meat noodle (dry) with soup on the side. In other places, sometimes I'd get bland noodle and/or not freshly-tasted meat (the pork and/or the shrimp) but never at this location. This restaurant has consistently delivered, which I really favor for. My rice noodle is always cooked to perfection (my perfection when it comes to rice noodles is soft) and it's always flavorful. I never need to add any soy sauce and or fish sauce into my bowl. Just straight dig in! The only thing that I feel is lacking at this place is the richness of the side broth that comes with the noodle. I've had a much better and rich broth elsewhere, and therefore I can't give it 5 stars in my review. Sorry but my standard can be pretty high when it comes to noodle lol. Anyways, I would still highly recommend this place if you'd like to have a delicious teow chew style dry noodle. Tip: - always order the fried Chinese donut and dip it in the soup right before taking a bite and eat it with your noodle. - always ask for more fried onion to mix with your dry noodle. These add so much flavor to your noodle YOURE WELCOME!

Cant go wrong with Kim Ky noodle house! Great comfort noodles for the right price. We had a party of two and got seated right away as there were a few tables open. Did not stay open for long as they immediately had a line waiting. I love how you can choose which type of noodles you'd like. I always go with the flat rice noodles. The parking lot can get pretty packed, but its nice that there's many spaces.

Their fried rice cake is the best!!! we just had an early brunch and their pan-fried rice cake cooked perfectly and it was very flavorful!! Their quality is consistent! Wish they open one nearby us!

My parents love their noodle soups and the pan fried rice cake with egg. They package their togo orders really well and make sure there is vinegar, chili, soy sauce, utensils. Of course check bc there was one time they missed bean sprouts, but they work really fast and orders ready to get picked up.

We used to come here often before the pandemic, and finally made it back for a visit. We ordered our usual -- the #1 Assorted Meat & Shrimp with Rice Noodle. This time, I switched it up and tried the rice pin noodles instead of the flat rice noodles -- but I regretted it. The flat noodles are definitely the better choice! The soup was just as good as I remembered: light, savory, and with that comforting touch of sweetness from the broth. I could honestly drink it forever. There's a generous portion of assorted meats, including a piece of kidney and two pieces of shrimp. This place is always busy, so be sure to come early and grab a ticket!

    Menu

Cash only! You'll smell people smoking outside sometimes especially when they open the door for to-go order. You'll have an option of water or hot tea Al's other than the drinks menu that they offer. Wonton soup: pretty good. Chicken noodle soup with egg noodle but you can customize it to other noodles for all the soup noodles. There's about 5-6 options. Egg noodle -rice noodle and different widths You can request for the soups to be on the side. Hubs request soups on the side because you can taste the flavor of the soup better compared to mixing the soup into the noodle. They have the chili mix paste that you can put into the soup - similar to the one at Mien Nghia. This one tasted spicier if memory serves me right. As any other Asians place: cleanliness is okay.. bathroom situation: one exist yay! There's no diaper station for babies. They do have high chair tho so that's a plus And you can ask them for plastic spoon and fork. The servers is also pretty good at getting us stuff at a timely manner.

We ended up getting a set for $168 this time, which came with 6 dishes. It's also $35 per lb for lobster, and I asked for the smallest one. Apparently, the smallest one was 4.8 lbs, which was another $168, so I'm not sure if they upsold me. Anyways, the food was fantastic and everyone enjoyed it. This is what I thought about the food we got. House Seafood Soup - Simple and clean soup. Good portion, and it was soothing to eat. Lots of squid. (4/5) Clams with Spicy Sauce - Large clams with tons of meat, and the sauce was fire. Always a good choice. (5/5) Crab with Salt & Pepper - Loved the seasoning, and the flavors were solid. (4.5/5) Thai Style Beef Stew - First time trying this, and it was good. A bit different, but the meat chunks were tasty and the overall flavors were good. (4/5) Sautéed Pea Sprouts - Nicely done vegetable dish. It's simple but refreshing with good flavors. (4/5) Fried Whole Fish - This dish was gone so fast because it was delicious. Nicely fried and not overly seasoned. (5/5) Signature Lobster - I feel like you have to get this here since it's their specialty. It's pricey, but in my opinion, it's the best and freshest lobster in town. Tons of green onions, seasoned well, fresh meat, and lots of lobster roe. (5/5) Service was good, and they didn't automatically add a mandatory tip for a large party. The total came out to around $364, which is pricey, but the food was phenomenal. Parking - Valet only, but they have street parking in front. I parked on the street since there were plenty of spots on a Wednesday, but I assume it gets busy on weekends.

Thankfully, the taste lived up to the appearance. The meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. It came right off the bone without falling apart completely, which gave it a really satisfying texture. What I liked most was that the beef itself was the star of the dish. It had a rich, smoky flavor and didn't rely on heavy seasoning or sauce to stand out. The lime wedges on the side were a surprisingly good addition and helped balance the richness of the meat. This was one of those dishes that made everyone at the table stop talking for a moment and just enjoy the food. I came here twice. The first time I never stepped inside because the line was just insane. This place can be packed due to its small size and the parking is not easy. It is located inside a very popular plaza with many other popular Chinese establishments. The second time I came is around 11AM on a weekday so I didn't have to wait. The menu here are all digital so you order by clicking screens. All the food items have pictures so you'll know exactly what you'll get. They also have a very good Boba menu too and their Boba are actually very very good. The staffs are very nice and helpful. They are not like the usual traditional Chinese restaurant that doesn't have customer service. You'll be treated well here. The food came out pretty quickly and they are amazing. You can tell they spend a lot of time cooking the beef because it was very tender. The beef is most likely slow cooked for a long time, then slice to prepare for the dishes. The beef in the flaky beef wrap was very generous. It felt like a huge burrito without other fillings. The Braised Noodle Soup has huge chunks of yummy beef in it. The soup is very flavorful and thick. I will try the clear broth version next time. I like drinking the broth but the dark broth is just too much flavor for me to consume. The restaurant is very clean and well decorated. If you are looking for a dumpling place, give this place a try, you won't regret it. The price is not cheap but I feel like it matches the quality that you'll receive. Just try to come on a weekday or off hour so you can avoid the long line.

The sweet and sour pork was unfortunately a disaster. The pork was sliced paper-thin--so thin that it felt like I was mostly eating batter with barely any meat. The pork elbow was delicious with a fun, tender texture. The fish maw soup was very good and comforting, though it could have used a little more seasoning. Other than that, it was delicious. The steamed sea bass with soy sauce was incredibly soft and fragrant--a definite must-order. The scallops with vermicelli noodles were another hit: fresh, clean flavors and perfectly cooked scallops. My only suggestion would be to cut the noodles, as they came in one big clump and were difficult to serve. We ordered the beef fried rice but were given lamb instead.
