When I walked in, I was greeted with a nice ambiance. Restaurant was clean and well decorated. Much nicer than I was expecting for a strip mall but still perfectly casual. The waitress sat me at a table immediately when I walked in. I was surprised at how comfortable the chairs were. Which is not something I usually mention in a review. They were so comfortable that it was impressive enough to mention. The waitress was very personable and had no problems answering my questions about the menu. I enjoyed chatting with her for a minute. And yes, the Pho was delicious. I got the steak and lean brisket pho, regular size. With 20% tip it came out to $18.84. I think my only complaint is that I walked into the restaurant not particularly hungry, and left not particularly full. Don't get me wrong, it was a decent amount of food. There was a good noodle to meat ratio, but for almost $19, I expected just a bit more food. Even just a half cup more noodles probably would have done it for me and left me satisfied. That's the only thing keeping this from a 5 star review for me. That said, there was an option for a larger sized bowl, but considering I wasn't particularly hungry when I walked in, I decided against it. I want to preface this review with the fact that, at the time of our visit Pho Hoa had only been open for a few weeks. With that being said I think they may have opened too early and weren't fully prepared to take on customers. After a short wait we were seated, but the waiting game had just begun. It took quite some time to have our waitress come over and take our drink and meal orders, but she apologized profusely for being understaffed and was very kind. After that the meal took a while to come out and our drinks (waters) didn't come out until 15 minutes after our food. The food wasn't worth the wait either. The meat I had, had a very odd texture that felt grainy and lacked taste. My girlfriend did have a better experience with the vermicelli, however we both agreed that there was a big lack of flavor and left us wanting to grab some good in the way home. I'm hopeful that time will help fix these issues and that we will have a better experience if we return. read more

I'm happy that there's finally a spot in East Cobb to fulfill the cravings but if I had time, I'd rather drive a little further to Buford highway. The food was passable if you wanted something Vietnamese without having to drive across Atlanta but I would not make a special trip out here. It seems to be a chain and I'm shocked that it was able to expand here with inconsistencies of the food.(there's no way it expanded with broth like this lol so I'm thinking it's just a different chef not following recipes?) Overall I did get my craving satisfied. I did like the lychee green tea. And I do wish they gave more herbs. Pho Hoa hasn't been open that long. I spotted the restaurant before they opened and couldn't wait. I mean, who doesn't LOVE Pho? Probably the worst pho I've ever had in my LIFE! maybe staying in Duluth gave me more access to Vietnamese cuisine where I've never had a BAD bowl of pho... until this place in Marietta.....the broth, the meat, the sad small plate of vegetables...... never again. Absolutely unacceptable service. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves one. We placed our order immediately after arriving and then waited nearly 35 minutes. During that time, FOUR separate groups came in after us, ordered after us, and received their food before us. Not one person explained the delay, apologized, or provided any update on what was happening. Watching customer after customer who arrived later get served first was beyond frustrating. At that point, it felt like we had simply been forgotten. Mistakes happen. What makes or breaks a business is how they're handled. In this case, there was no communication, no accountability, and no concern for our time. I came here for lunch recently. I noticed that they are still in the soft opening phase. If I remember correctly, their grand opening should be happening this week (mid July). In any event, my experience here was pleasant. My waiter was prompt and polite. I was very happy to see vegetarian options on the menu so I ordered a tofu roll (which is like a cold spring roll), which came with the traditional peanut sauce. Great Pho in East Cobb! What a treat to get a delicious bowl of Pho in the suburbs! Seriously, as good as you'll find off of Buford Hwy- rich broth, and lots of noodles and beef. So good! The Bahn mi was a good sandwich, but the bread wasn't traditional for a Bahn Mi. You expect that ultra thin, shattering crisp crust and light airy interior.....this was wasn't that. Close. Sort of threw me off a bit, but tasty pork and Do Chua (pickled carrots and daikon). So manage expectations (it's not Lee's bakery) but I'd absolutely order it again. The food was ok, but I thought the portion sizes were small for the price you pay. I would've hoped for a little larger portion for those prices. After weeks of teasing us PH&JT finally did open its doors to customers. A sign posted on the front door indicates it is their soft opening. Unsure of when the grand opening is but what we had was good. A few kinks to work out in waiting tables, but otherwise, we ordered Beef Brisket and Tendon Pho (large) also a regular Beef Pho. What you would expect for Pho. The large was not excessively large. Next time I will have to order extra tendon, unsure if that is even an option. We will see. This will definitely be a staple on Fridays after piano lessons. I wonder if there is Vietnamese drip style coffee. I did not see it. They have bubble tea. Inside was a contemporary / darker decorum with a bar. The people watching view into the parking lot and passerby's is there if interested. The price for one regular and one large Pho about $30. Enough to feed a family of 3 and about the same as having Chipotle. Pretty good deal. Look forward to my next time. read more

The service was a little rocky and slow, I think they need some sort of manager to help the service staff the pair just seemed to be a little green but hey that's what soft openings are for! The Pho was really freaking good. Light, tasty broth, very good quality chicken. I will say- it's pretty expensive. Egg, veggies, and the like are all extra. BUT, they make up for it in part with their boba and pho combo. If you're craving both, or if you don't mind spending extra, this spot is for you. Positives: Interior is spacious and very clean. Restaurant just opened and it shows. Negatives: The absolute worst service I've ever experienced. Our server got our order wrong and continued to make mistakes after multiple follow ups for the most basic tasks. Check the Google reviews to see what others have experienced. Food is mediocre at best. Pho broth tastes like a strange hybrid between stale vegetables and old beef - missing the kick that standard beef bone broth provides. Doesn't taste anything like standard Pho and the noodles had a strange rough texture. Pho 24 is a little further out and tastes like actual Pho. They too have bad service but at least they won't waste your time. I recommend Pho Dakao, Pho Bac, or Pho Dai Loi if you want real Pho. This place has a lot more work to do and it really needs to start with better service. read more

Ordered their beef and flank steak pho, also the grilled pork ban mhi. The pho portions were a little smaller than the Buford Highway ones (but I didn't have to drive there!) , the flavor was great, and the noodles perfect. So was the banh mi - crunchy buns, great flavor / not dry pork- and actually larger than what you'd usually get somewhere else. My first time to this new Vietnamese restaurant in East Cobb. When I suggested it my friend said it was only ok, not great as she had attended a soft opening and was willing to try it again. The restaurant is stylish and comfortable. We each ordered a pho bowl and decided to split a brisket bahn mi. The sandwich was wonderful and I would definitely come back for it! My friend's vegetable pho was good and looked it. My brisket pho wasn't. I asked the waiter if this was brisket or some other meat since we had just had delicious brisket in the sandwich. He said it was and I said it was tasteless and very tough. He said he was sorry about that and walked away. Hmmmn, that was hard to understand for a new place. The service went down from there. I had to call the waiter over twice for more lime and to take some of the dishes. I had to go up to the bar to get more water. I will admit the beef broth in my pho was delicious. Had some popcorn chicken as an appetizer, which was very tasty. Tried the Jazen Tea to be adventuresome; I had never had it or really even heard of it.
