Food quality: well above average, compared to other Pho restaurants but slightly under par compared to the one in downtown Seattle and the now closed location at Redmond, WA. The broth seems to be lacking a tiny bit of star anise -- the tone (not the temperature) of the broth could be a little warmer. Environment: spacious and relaxed. Went to there eat back in April and found a baby roach in my pho. The server talked to someone in the back and they offered to remake it (I said no obviously) and then they offered a mere 20% off. I thought it was ridiculous to not comp the whole meal. I wish I just refused to pay but I was in shock that I almost ate a roach. They then tried to play it off as a fly to the health department but it didn't have wings and had long limbs. 1-Star Review This was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had. We found a hair in the fried rice and later discovered a fly in the pho. That alone is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about cleanliness and food safety. What made the situation worse was the response from management. When we informed the waiter and the manager -- who quickly came over to collect the bill -- instead of apologizing and addressing the issue properly, we were told, "You should have told us earlier." I didn't even see the fly until that moment, and as soon as I did, I immediately informed them. Blaming the customer instead of taking responsibility is not how situations like this should be handled. There was no real accountability or effort to make it right. I would strongly encourage this restaurant to improve both their food safety standards and customer service. When the orders arrived, they were the same size though. The broth was well flavored without being too salty and all of the proteins were really good. Sometimes the flank steak can be quite dry but since it was so thin, it was still quite good. The mint leaves they provided was a bit sad on the bottom Ambience: 5/5 - large store with lots of space between the tables. When I worked at Tech TV in San Francisco, I used to take the shuttle over to our studio and from there trek over to hole in the wall pho place to get some vermicelli with barbecue pork with a side of crunchy egg roll in a sweet chili sauce . That was like playing Russian roulette because back then they didn't care if you had a peanut allergy so if they fried the egg roll in peanut oil then good luck to you because even if you asked which oil they used, they'd tell you it wasn't peanut oil. So maybe your throat closes up, maybe it doesn't, but this place was worth that risk because that plate of food was so freaking good. I went back recently and that place was so hole in the wall, I couldn't find it anymore. Curse my crappy memory!!! Going to Pho Hoa brought me back memories of working at that company because their pork with vermicelli and egg roll tastes almost the same and that is delicious. They put the peanut sprinkle on the side so I could taste it before my sister poured it on and ate the rest of the dish. I also love their shrimp and pork summer rolls. I'm usually not a fan of spring rolls because somehow, some way, peanuts end up in those things all the times, but the waitress looked very concerned when I said I was allergic to peanuts so she made sure the cook did get fancy and made it clear to him not to use peanuts. It does come with a peanut sauce, so they left that out and gave me chili sauce, but the plum sauce they provide on the table for the pho is a better match. Lol, I'm singing the praises of a pho restaurant and I'm not going to say anything about the pho, because I hate pho. Not their fault- I'm one of those people who thinks cilantro tastes like dishwater, but nothing but love for this place. Can't wait to try the bahn mi because I do love a good bahn mi and have had some great ones in LA. Hope I find a new favorite here. Went in on 10/14/24 around 11:45/noon and the service was incredibly friendly and excellent. Everyone working was happy to help and clearly wanted to make their guests happy. Thank you Hannah H! And the other gal whose name we didn't get! Super delicious pho, of course it came out fast but we also got some banh mis to go and those came out really quick as well. The banh mis were great too but we ate them a few hours later, so I'm sure they're even better fresh. The bathrooms were also very clean which is not something to look past at a restaurant. The ambiance in general is open, clean, bright and clearly a newer build so everything is nice and put together. We will absolutely be coming back! read more

Fairly disappointing, My brother, aunt and I came a bit late and ended up ordering food, and ended up fairly disappointed with the food and service. We ended up ordering our appetizers and they arrived in a timely manner, and 3 sodas that didn't arrive at all, and for our dinner we ordered 2 number 15s and a grilled chicken rice dish which had an upcharge for a change to white rice. (While this was unfortunate, I understand that it was company policy, and it wasn't the meal I had.) When we got our food it was just okay but there was some issues, when they brought the plate with the plate with the usual assortment of bean sprouts, basil and lime wedges they only provided one lime wedge and one soup spoon (the white spoon that looks like a small ladel) and only one set of chop sticks and the pho felt slightly grainy. As far as I know my aunt thought the chicken was alright. And when we checked out they had no receipt paper to print a receipt and we got hit with a mandatory (as they said) 15% tip. While I am for tipping staff this feels unusual and shady. I would not recommend this place it feels like they are trying to stretch things thin and play quick and loose just to meet a quota. And I would highly advise you to go visit Pho Ginger which is very close by instead if you are craving a pho. read more

Service was great as we were seated upon entering and the server was very attentive. The food was good and flavorful. You can never go wrong with Pho and Banh Mi. My eldest boy loved the popcorn chicken and he's a picky eater so that says a lot in our opinion. We also had chicken wings that was yummy as well. As far as the ambiance, the restaurant is clean and well kept which is important to us. I loved how open and spacious it was with plenty of seating tables. So I have been here several times and I have always thought it is just a step above taste and flavor and portion-wise what you would expect for a place of this price. Then today I finally tried the Number 27, the Vietnamese Stew and it prompted me to finally write a yelp review about this great restaurant. The pho here is truly top notch, the fried rice is a large potion of rich and delicious meat and egg-full rice, and the Number 27 is kind of a perfect stew. The meat was honestly hands down the best done stew beef I've had and the broth was so rich and delectable. The service is almost always quick and efficient. The ambience is great, tables are spread out with tvs showing different channels (pick a channel you like to face!) and it hasn't gotten too busy or loud when I've been there. And they give you a small bowl of broth with a fried rice. Definitely go here. read more

Well this was going to be my new Pho restaurant until I walked in today. The restaurant was about 5% full at 3:45 pm on a mid-week day. They tried to seat me, a single diner near the kitchen. I sat near the window. Two employees came up to me two separate times and asked me to move because, "this table is for large group." At 4 pm on a mid week day? Really? They could not just let me sit where I wanted? This is poor customer service. I walked out, not wanting to be harassed further or run the risk of having my food tampered with because I challenged these 20 somethings. I am not interested in dining in an establishment with tyrannic seating demands. This is not North Vietnam! This is America and the customer is supposed to be accommodated. ABSOLUTELY the best banh mi I've had in a while! Decided to swing by and check this new place out, after a good ole adjustment at my chiropractor (Bay Center)! So glad I gave it a try! We've been to this new Vietnamese restaurant about 6 times. At first it was very tasty and well prepared. Last night however was a different experience. I ordered Pho Tofu, a vegetable based soup with fresh tofu. The little plate of basil and bean sprouts looked like last weeks food. The sprouts were brown and soggy. In my tofu soup I found three little cubes of tofu total. The broth tasted like dishwater. It was sad that they went downhill so quickly! The service is always good. Well it used to be GREAT. Today? No way. Bread dried, stale, chicken 4 pieces on one 6 on another all dry as a bone, stems of coriander the leaves smashed like they were made yesterday, then, 1/2 piece cucumber smashed like someone hit it with a mallet before putting it on the bread. 4 strings carrot on one 1 on the other. Zero jalepeno there was 3 on the original we thought was great back in March. Zero sauce. We've been having on again off again luck like one Sunday it was packed and there was scraps on one and little on the other. SO WE started asking for extra chicken bc of empty sandwichs now this. And the extra was 6 pieces... drier than the stuff in the sandwich like they took it off scraps left on the table. Just wrong. We eere treated like beggars they don't want darkening their door.
