Steak and fatty flank.. with not very much liquid!
    Matt C.

This is my second to go order of their number eight and summer rolls. The restaurant is very clean the staff are very friendly. I think I will probably keep ordering food from this establishment. If you like Vietnamese food or are curious, give them a try. Also I usually get at least two meals out of this..so, yum.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - we both ordered #15 of Pho with steak, flank, fatty flank, tendon, and tripe but one was regular and the other a large. When the orders arrived, they were the same size though. The broth was well flavored without being too salty and all of the proteins were really good. Sometimes the flank steak can be quite dry but since it was so thin, it was still quite good. The mint leaves they provided was a bit sad on the bottom Ambience: 5/5 - large store with lots of space between the tables. Clean and bright with the workers wiping down each table after the customers leave. Service: 5/5 - super friendly lady but seemed like English might not be her first language. Dude who brought out the food was super smiley that you can't help but smile as well! Value for price: 4/5 - good food and reasonable price. However, one of us had diarrhea after so not sure if it was the mint leaves or sriracha...

Great little place. They have a kind of cafeteria feel to the restaurant but the service is excellent and the food is excellent. The avocado roll is to die for. Wish for sake but you can't always get what you want.

When I worked at Tech TV in San Francisco, I used to take the shuttle over to our studio and from there trek over to hole in the wall pho place to get some vermicelli with barbecue pork with a side of crunchy egg roll in a sweet chili sauce . That was like playing Russian roulette because back then they didn't care if you had a peanut allergy so if they fried the egg roll in peanut oil then good luck to you because even if you asked which oil they used, they'd tell you it wasn't peanut oil. So maybe your throat closes up, maybe it doesn't, but this place was worth that risk because that plate of food was so freaking good. I went back recently and that place was so hole in the wall, I couldn't find it anymore. Curse my crappy memory!!! Going to Pho Hoa brought me back memories of working at that company because their pork with vermicelli and egg roll tastes almost the same and that is delicious. They put the peanut sprinkle on the side so I could taste it before my sister poured it on and ate the rest of the dish. I also love their shrimp and pork summer rolls. I'm usually not a fan of spring rolls because somehow, some way, peanuts end up in those things all the times, but the waitress looked very concerned when I said I was allergic to peanuts so she made sure the cook did get fancy and made it clear to him not to use peanuts. It does come with a peanut sauce, so they left that out and gave me chili sauce, but the plum sauce they provide on the table for the pho is a better match. Lol, I'm singing the praises of a pho restaurant and I'm not going to say anything about the pho, because I hate pho. Not their fault- I'm one of those people who thinks cilantro tastes like dishwater, but nothing but love for this place. Can't wait to try the bahn mi because I do love a good bahn mi and have had some great ones in LA. Hope I find a new favorite here. The dining room is clean, spacious with high ceilings and is really impressive for being a chain restaurant.

Food was fast and delicious. I had spring rolls and peanut sauce and my mom had popcorn chicken with sweet chili sauce. Service was fast and happy. Answered any questions we had quickly and happily. We will be back soon and recommend all of my friends.

3.99 for 1 roll!!!!! Salt pepper chicken wings look nothing like the picture. On top of that they're bland. Over priced. Y'all need to lock in.

Service was great as we were seated upon entering and the server was very attentive. The food was good and flavorful. You can never go wrong with Pho and Banh Mi. My eldest boy loved the popcorn chicken and he's a picky eater so that says a lot in our opinion. We also had chicken wings that was yummy as well. As far as the ambiance, the restaurant is clean and well kept which is important to us. I loved how open and spacious it was with plenty of seating tables. The win was the fact that there was a Happy Lemon connected to their restaurant. Btw, this was our first time eating here and will definitely return when in the area.

My god the aroma that hits you as soon as you walk through the door takes you to faraway lands. The mixture of curry & coconut milk is just so fragrant you can't mistake it. BBQ Pork Puff: amazing. Think char siu bao but in a PUFF PASTRY. Flaky, warm, sweet, savory. Curry Chicken Puff: amazing amazing. I can't say enough how heavenly the combo of curry & coconut are to me. This says plenty. Also there are potatoes in it. Nasi Lemak: Coconut rice delicious. Chicken was well seasoned and tender enough. Whatever that sauce was hit the spot. Egg mixed in w/ everything gave extra variety in texture. Anchovies crispy and salty but not too salty. Other dishes ordered by my family: Chicken & Rice, Mee Soto Ayam, Ikan Bilis, Veg Fried Rice. The Chicken Potato Curry Puff pastry had an amazing filling. My wife and I would eat this alone. The curry flavor had a nice balance with the filling. However, the travel time to our AirBnB in Southbay may have compromised the outer puff pastry part. That was a bit lifeless. I would have liked to have tried this while at the restaurant. The rice in the "Chicken Rice Lunch" had fantastic flavor. However, I don't think the rice was fully cooked though. We definitely had more than a few harder than normal kernels of rice. But kudos to the rice flavoring - even though the rice was not fully cooked, I wanted to finish the rice. And the Chicken Garam Masala was blah. The Garam Masala was way too watery for our liking. The flavor was too diluted. A picture of this dish on their online menu shows a thicker sauce. We didn't finish this dish...

The restaurant is easy to find, located in a plaza with other businesses, so there's plenty of parking available. I also like that their hours are posted in military time; it's a small detail, but it removes any confusion about opening and closing times. The space itself is on the smaller side, but it feels comfortable and welcoming. We arrived around 17:00 on a Wednesday and were seated quickly. Service was friendly from start to finish--menus were brought promptly, and we were asked about drinks right away (water was perfect for us). Throughout the meal, the staff was attentive without being intrusive, refilling our water and clearing dishes at just the right times. We started with the agedashi tofu to share. The broth was flavorful and the tofu was prepared well, with that soft, gooey, gelatinous consistency. While it wasn't quite my personal preference (I tend to favor a crispier texture), it was still tasty and likely ideal for those who enjoy it that way. For our main dishes, my son ordered the tonkatsu corn ramen, and I had the black garlic ramen (without bean sprouts--personal preference). This was our first ramen spot since moving to Washington, and it genuinely reminded us of a favorite place we used to visit in Sacramento. The broth was rich, creamy, and deeply savory--absolutely delicious. I especially liked that the ramen was served with a ladle instead of a standard soup spoon, which made it easier to sip more of the broth. The noodles were cooked perfectly--not too firm, not too soft--and paired really well with the toppings. My son even commented on the generous portion of noodles, which I joked was exactly what we signed up for when ordering ramen! We both finished our bowls feeling completely satisfied. The chashu and egg were highlights for me--I took my time consuming them. My only small critique is that I wish the ramen included a full soft-boiled egg instead of just half, especially with bowls averaging around $17. Overall, this was a great dining experience with flavorful food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere. While I have a couple of minor preferences, I would definitely return and recommend it to others looking for quality ramen in the area.

Unfortunately, I was looking at an outdated menu on Yelp, so the spicy tofu soup is no longer on the lunch specials, AND if you want a "lunch special," it needs to be specified when placing the order. I assumed that because it was lunch time, I would be paying the lunch pricing? That wasn't the case when I arrived. Parking seems to only be on the same side as the barber shop (which i think is connected to the restaurant as well?). When I walked in, I didn't really check out the place. Seems like a classic no-frills Korean restaurant. An ajumma (아줌마) appeared at the register after a couple seconds (lol that is the first description that came to mind). I informed her of my phone order and she brought out the food and rang me up for around $55? I was thinking, yikes, that's a steep price for a spicy tofu soup and a lunch special of the galbi and mentioned it to her. She told me that the portion made is not the lunch special and next time, make sure to specify that over the phone if I want the Lunch special or dinner portion. She clarified, while acting out the mannerisms, of customers that would complain about the Lunch special, because they would want a dinner portion instead, so she just places general orders as the dinner portion. (I can already imagine the Karens she must have received for her reaction, which is understandable, but at the time, I was just slightly irritated since I was hoping to pay a cheaper price.) I am assuming after this experience, there is a difference in portion size for the lunch and dinner pricing.. Besides the miscommunication, I can at least say that the food was prepared quickly since it was ready by the time I arrived at the restaurant (about 15 mins after I placed the order?). With the outcast weather, I was craving some soondubu, and Seoul Garden definitely delivered! The tofu portions were generous and the broth was the right amount of spicy where you can taste the flavor but it is not overwhelming. I was not expecting so many complementary sides either! They paired very well with the rice and galbi, which was thoroughly marinated in a delectable glaze. Even though I was initially frustrated that I received the dinner portion, I calmed down after eating the galbi. My son and I actually ended up devouring it.. the food was so good, I totally forgot about the pricing at the moment. Just keep in mind though, this place is not advertised as KBBQ, so you're paying for individual plates/dishes/orders that should already be cooked. I would only recommend this restaurant if there are certain staples you really enjoy (i.e. you're only craving bulgogi but don't want to go out to eat or grill it), because it is arguably just as expensive as KBBQ. But if you're a foodie that can afford it, I'd suggest stopping by to try it out yourself! :)
