The combo pho came loaded with generous servings of flank stake, brisket, tendon, meatballs, and tripe. The noodles were not overly cooked, and they had the appropriate amount of weight and tension that ends up filling you on those cold days. I also ordered the spring rolls. Those were also a lot... So lucky to have found this little spot. This place is amazing. The pho is HEALING. It was herby, cozy, & full of flavor. My husband really loved his dish too. The food was so delicious, we ate in silence until we finished our drinks. The Thai tea was better than any boba tea I've found here in EP. I don't think the Vietnamese coffee is authentically made---normally w/ condensed milk; it had a bit of a caramel flavor so maybe made with creamer---nonetheless, it was still really good. I did an order for pickup and OMG I was not expecting the portion size. We had to dig out the salad bowls just for one serving of pho. I ordered my pho to be made spicy, it turned out not very spicy but it wasn't bad. Praise be to God that this place was open on July 4th til 6PM because I was hungover and needed the cure. I was willing to make the half hour drive across Transmountain for a bowl of soup. This was my second time there and it was as delicious as the first. They only had one size but it was generous portions. Service was great as the server checked up on my water. I got the combination soup (#1) and my wife got the shrimp soup (#7). I can't speak on her soup but mines was amazing. This was our first time here. The area was very spacious with lots of seating arrangements. The only annoying thing was the music in the background which was just a tad bit loud. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the dishes. Sometimes when I eat tripe there is that dirt taste and you can tell it's not washed well. This was not the case. Their tripe in the pho was washed and cleaned very well. Although I had 2 tiny chunks in my pho it was delicious what I did have. I will say it was a very steep price for a can of Coke $3.75. The fish sauce was on the sweeter side and they used purple onions in the broth which I thought brought out another taste altogether. The portions are also HUGE which was a plus. Came here for lunch on a Wednesday at noon. It is seat yourself and it took a little bit longer than wanted for a server to come to my table. Glad I did not have a short lunch break. I ordered the Pho number 4 and just water being I felt the serves was being somewhat slow. So after my order was taken it took a more than 30 minutes to get my soup. I occupied my time by paying all my bills online. Was going to leave but I had invested all this time and I needed to see if the wait was worth it. Must say I was regretting coming here. Once the Pho arrived it smells great and the portion was about average. The first taste of the Pho I must say was one of best tasting Pho I have had in El Paso. The broth with just a hint of sweet in it and the right spices was great. The noodles were done just right and the way I like them soft and flavorful. The protein was done well. As I progressed on my with meal I was regretting less and less that I came here. I tell you, I finished my Pho to the last drop, and noodle. Over all the my opinion the food was great and was very well satisfied but the serves and the wait. My glass was empty for half of the meal and I already stated it took over 30 min to get my meal. The sliver lining was the meal. It almost made up for the wait, almost. I am willing to give this place another try just for the food and to give them another chance on the serves. The music was nursery sounding Christmas music. It wasn't bad but a little off for the establishment. We ordered the spring rolls, but they call them egg rolls. They were tasty with the sauce. The only thing missing were plates to eat them on, but it was great none the less. I ordered the iced coffee, but it tasted like there was hazelnut creamer instead of condensed milk. I went there yesterday and ordered takeout. I have been there before several times. While eating my food ( An Egg roll) I bit down on a large piece of plastic/metal. I immediately took it out of my mouth. Looks to be part of a cooking utensil. I called the restaurant and the lady that answered the phone had to go talk to the cook/owner. when she returns to the phone she stated the the cook makes the egg rolls by hand and he doesn't know what it could be. He advised her to tell me that he would make another egg roll. I advised the lady that had I swallowed this piece of plastic/metal I could have died! I told her that I would be come in with the piece in the morning. As I have really thought about this.... They ain't worth My Piece! I Believe they will further Aggravate Me to the Point of them Calling the Police! But I will Write this Review and Attach Pictures! I will Not Spend Another Dime in that Place! I stopped by a a new Vietnamese restaurant called Pho House Best Noodles located at 9549 Dyer Street (location used to be known as the Seoul Restaurant). I tried the Pho Tai Chin dish of rice noodles with eye round steak and well done brisket. It was a large portion with very good broth and lean cuts of meat and served on the side with bean sprouts, limes, basil, and jalapeno. Pho House is going to give Pho Tre Bien Express (on Fred Wilson) some serious competition on in the Northeast part of town. This restaurant is going on my favorites list. read more
