Brand new PHO spot in the newly developed city line area in Richardson. Everything is shined and new plenty of seating and parking. It is a chain but is very good simple and yummy. It has great location with Wholefoods and other great spots around it. Plenty of parking in the front and back with a door at each entry point. The tofu pho is amazing. I'm so, so excited to have finally found a place that serves vegetables and tofu pho in a vegetarian/vegan broth!! The broth itself is also so, so flavorful!! It has all the flavors that a meat pho would have without the meat flavor- it really does continue to surprise me that the broth is 100% vegan. I love that the tofu pho comes with a variety of vegetables as well- snap peas, mushrooms, radishes, carrots, and tofu! While it is a little expensive for a bowl of pho (almost $10), I think the tofu pho is definitely worth especially because the broth is vegan!! Sure, this isn't "authentic" but it sure did the trick. The broth is clean and comforting. Not rich in beefy flavors, yes, but I think the pho is perfectly balanced in sweetness, salt, and onion/beef flavors. I have come to this place multiple times since it opened. Mainly because I used to work in a restaurant near by and I always wanted some pho during my break. Now I just come whenever I get a haircut at 18-8 or when I leave UTD. If anyone have been in the Garland area, they know that Pho Bang and Pho Doan have some good pho. However, lately the taste of both restaurant's broth is lacking in that rich beef broth flavor. And my stomach never feels good after going to Pho Bang anymore. The meatball from Pho Bang is pretty good and it is similar to Pho is for Lovers's. Pho is for Lovers' broth have been consistent lately and it taste much better than the current Pho Bang's. Pho Bang offers variety of beef meat/cuts such as tripe/tendons/and beef belly cuts but Pho is for Lovers only offer meatballs and brisket (from what I've seen so far. Their to-go have he beef flanks (raw).) Still taste good but I prefer like Pho Bang meat selections. I have been going to this place and Pho Bac's back and forth. Pho Bac's broth is very inconsistent. Sometimes too watery and sometimes too little onion. The meatballs at Pho Bac is nasty and I prefer Pho Bang's or Pho's for Lovers's. Also Pho Bac's customer service is horrible at times. The employees don't even want to be there. At Pho is for Lovers, the employees greet guests with a smile and thank the guests after they have left. The only reason I go to Pho Bac is that they offer a huge large portion. Bigger than any of the restaurants mention in the review. Overall, Pho is For Lovers does the trick to satisfy the pho craving. Similar to Noodlelicious's pho (however Noodlelicious's broth is too sweet for me), this is targeting Americans who are weary of trying tendons, tripe, and the delicious fat trimmings. EDIT: Just tried he Bun Bo Hue for the first time here. It was delicious! Very similar flavor to Pho Tay Do's bun bo hue but this place doesn't have the pig's bone meat or the pig's blood, which I appreciate because I don't like those parts. The service fast and courteous. The dish I've fallen hard for is the Beef Pho: Rare filet, Brisket, and Meatballs in soup with rice noodles served with a side of sprouts, basil, jalapenos, and lime. I think I could literally eat this daily. Served piping hot the flavors erupt with deliciousness. Located in the new City Line Whole Foods Shopping center. Definitely a treat. This is probably the most Americanized broth I've ever tasted it's just horrible. The noodles also have a funny smell to them you can tell they aren't made in the Resturant. I specified clay asked repeatedly if the chicken was shredded because I have swallowing issues (cancer survivor) I was told yes and if that's wht they call shredded I'd get to see what they call slices. The summer rolls we absolutely yucky. I felt like I was biting into an Altoid mint. the sauce for dipping was also strange not warm of room temperature but freezing cold. I asked for a water and a small pop the pop machine was flat no fizzy. Several of the other reviews make mention of some amazing soy sauce I had to put some on my finger just to tase it - wasn't so sure what what special about that either it got a zero in my book!! I asked for a child's portion and they offered that which was nice and the price difference was 2$ in all I spent 14$ for food I left on the table. I surely won't be returning back. Before the pandemic I would visit this location 2-3 ×per week. I went to pick up food and was met with hesitance for asking for extra sriracha and other sauces. I spent over $22 on a meal for 1 person. When dining there in person you had an unlimited amount of sauces at your disposal. I have never been here before, but I definitely want to come back! I ordered the shrimp Vermicelli noodle plate and it was delicious! It comes with an egg roll and sauce on the side. I would definitely order again, it was full of flavor and filling. I tried the tofu and it was tasty, I wouldn't mind ordering that myself. My rating is closer to 3.5 stars. I went here for a quick lunch on my quest to try out all of the restaurants in this new CityLine area. Now I am NOT any sort of expert when it comes to Vietnamese food, I haven't really tried that much, so just keep that in mind. However, even to my untrained eye and mouth, I don't feel like this is authentic Vietnamese food, this seems to be a trendy, more Americanized version of Vietnamese food, which is not a bad thing, just something to keep in mind. I ordered the KBBQ Banh Mi. I thought it was pretty good. The bread was a little tough but the actual filling and the meat were flavored very well. It didn't knock my socks off, but it was good enough for me to consider coming back to try out some of their pho. This would be a place I would recommend to people who are new to Vietnamese food and want to try something out without being overwhelmed or intimidated. On a side note, I did think the restaurant was gorgeous and extremely clean. I loved all of their decorations. The lady who rang me up and brought me my food was extremely polite as well. read more

They only have one size of bowl. I would say it was comparable to the large size in most pho restaurants. However, they are more expensive than most locations, about $2 and the quality is just about the same. In addition, while most pho places give you options of what to include in your pho this one does not. For example, I usually like meatballs, tendon and tripe. Here, there is just a beef bowl option that has that and the flank etc. I didn't ask if I could remove the other stuff so it's up to you to see. They do have a seafood option and more. read more

I love this place! Hands down the best Pho I have had. My dad was pretty skeptical at first since he has not liked Pho at other restaurants, but he literally fell in love at Pho is for Lovers. The employees are friendly and the food was amazing. He makes any excuse to visit and eat there.
