Solid pho, tender meat, and they give a lot of noodles. The appetizers: cheese puffs + lemon pepper wings were the bomb. Very yummy cream cheese puffs with lots of filling and the wings had that crisp crunch & juicy meat inside 10/10 perfect wings honestly. Order them extra crispy!!!! I give Pho Island a 4 out of 5 stars for this reason: depending on when you go, service can be really slow. I've had other times where the service was fast so it's always different here in terms of service. I've tried their filet mignon pho which is delicious but too pepper-y for me. My fiancé loves it. My go to is the rare steak pho. The broth has a great taste. We also love ordering their salt & pepper calamari and their spring rolls. Parking can be hard to find especially during dinner time but if you can find a place to park, this place is worth the try! read more

I visited Pho Island for a late lunch on Saturday, 11/12/22. Food: For the appetizer, I ordered the Shrimp Spring Rolls with peanut sauce. The rolls were refreshingly tasty and the peanut sauce was flavorful. I also ordered the large bowl of the Pho Special Combo w/ Oxtail. Great broth flavor and overall tasty soup! So this weekend we visited after yelping this place. I ordered the chicken noodle pho. All I can say is it was like a religious experience that's how good it was. The broth was perfect and didn't need anything else but the sprouts, thai basil and jalapeño . Hoisin and sriracha would've ruined it. It was so good I explained my feelings to the wait staff and kitchen, but they seemed ho hum about it lol. I guess they know since the place was packed. I love love this place. So far I only had the grilled chicken with garlicky noodles and chicken with garlic rice. I've tried the mango green tea and the passion tea. The passion being my favorite. Then the lemon pepper chicken, that sauce on the side is to die for. I love it on my rice and noodles. Friendly and fast service. I order by phone and pick up. The restaurant seems nice and pleasant. This was our second visit here although this time we just ordered takeout. The food was excellent like it was the first time. Even though it was 100° outside, we still ordered a bowl of pho. It was soooo tasty. Definitely try the Rib Eye as it's a nice change from the usual meat selections at most restaurants. Lemon Pepper Wings were nice and flavorful. 100x better than the Salt and Pepper Wings we ordered during our first visit. Those were a little too plain for our taste. I ordered their food for delivery on doordash. I got their B4 pho with flank and eye round steak as well as another order, but with meatballs and brisket for someone I was with. I also got their grilled pork banh mi for the next day. The banh mi was alright. I found the pork to be different compared to other restaurants, but it was still pretty good. The B4 pho I ordered was the problem. The flank had various spotting that were green and shiny, almost iridescent to it, which might be hard to tell in the photos, but were more apparent in person. I believe it was some sort of mold to it as there was also a "fuzzy" like appearance to it. I was very disappointed as many people have told me that pho island is really good, which was not the case due to the meat's appearance and uncleanliness. Their space is pretty small but they try to accommodate. I love their food! My family's favorite are: 1: Phở Duc Biet (combo Phở) 2: Shanking Beef 3; Combo rice We haven't tried many dishes their since my family loves Phở and beef. My co-workers took me to Pho Island. I am so glad they did. I went with a pork vermicelli bowl that comes with not one but two mini egg rolls. The food came out lightning fast. My bowl was AMAZING! If I had one complaint and it's a small complaint, the pork had great flavor but I found quite a few fatty pieces of pork. The kind of fat that's hard and not soft. We wanted to eat big me and my partner wanted to order appetizers and food. I just wanted to preface that I came in, but they told us the only big table that was available was reserved. Okay, no biggie. We would wait for more room after we were attended. Two other parties joined, one with four and another with two people. They were seated on the side with the big tables after people left and asked if they wanted to eat before us. We wanted to ask for a bigger table, but after seeing we weren't even attended and ignored, we just left. Honestly the best vietnamese place in STK in my opinion. They got all you need. Big bowls of piping hot pho or rice dishes that will 100% fill you up. Parking is a bit tough but you can park either on the main street, or the small street to the side of the restaurant. Pho bowls are big and hearty. Lots of meat. Tried this new spot in town, looks like a little hole in the wall but the inside is clean, not like a typical asian restaurant. The food was amazing, they have an ox tail pho which I wanted originally but I saw their rice plates and that made it harder to decide what to order, I ended up ordering the rice plate and it did not disappoint. My Mom & I came in on a Tuesday for lunch, this was our 2nd time because the 1st time was so my good--wish I could say the same for this time. It all started with the service--our server was very out of it. He approached our table and we had our order ready to go, we had a few questions about the type of meat and how it was prepared and the server was quite hesitant or annoyed to answer. The question was "how is the beef prepared, is it thinly sliced?" And the server seemed annoyed by even answering as it took him a few seconds. We then proceeded with our order and he wrote NOTHING down. I mean, if you have a good memory, by all means, do it up but you can guess why we were annoyed. Our order: Beef vermicelli Combo pho Garlic noodles Spring rolls Thai tea/lychee jelly Honey green tea Spring rolls and garnish can first followed by entrees then drinks. He forgot the garlic noodles, that cocky shit. Then we approached a server but was unable to get their attention and he sees us looking and non chalantly goes "I'm missing the noodles huh?" And walks away. Then quickly brings them--no share plates & no extra utensils. I had to take my plate from my pho and wipe it off to use and took the pho garnish square bowl to wipe for my mom to use. THEN...she offers me an egg roll from her vermicelli bowl and god fucking dammit, I bite into it and pull away and a long white/brown hair slips through my lips and mouth.
