I came to Mezzo for dinner. I left spiritually changed. First of all -- Cheryll behind the bar? Protect her at all costs. The mint mojito she made me wasn't a drink... it was a religious experience. I don't know what she put in it (mint? magic? a degree in mixology from Hogwarts?) but I considered texting my ex just to tell her I've finally found happiness. Now let's talk about the Sol Fish. I ordered it like a normal person. I did NOT expect to sit there in silence after the first bite, staring at the wall, re-evaluating my life choices. Perfectly cooked. I love how they have the chefs name at the bottom of the menu - Daniel Cortez. My Waitress name is Kat - it's a very nice restaurant coming inside and they have both inside and outdoor seating. A bit sad they didn't have the classic fettuccine Alfredo as an option. I went with the "quick bite" option they had in there menu. That comes with the choice of salad and pasta - I got the Caesar salad with the Rigatoni Bolognese. I came during my lunch hour and they were super busy! I had a great experience my first time at Mezzo! Service was attentive and helpful as soon as we arrived and came to check in on us multiple times throughout the dinner. Multiple staff came to greet us and tend to us during the evening. Bread was tasty and crab cakes were crispy on the outside. I had never had an aperol spritz drink but was pleasantly surprised and I hope future aperol spritz's I try will be as good as this one. Rigatoni bolognese was delicious. The pistachio cannoli was the best of all the items I tried and especially unique - a must try if you come! The restaurant itself is a beautiful place to dine - very elegant. Wow! The food, ambiance and hospitality was 10/10. I made it here an hour before closing with a party of 6 and the Mezzo team went above and beyond to accommodate. It took no more than 4 minutes for them to sit us down. I understand sometimes this can be a challenge for some restaurants especially when it's a little closer to closing time. Not the Mezzo team! We had family that came into town for the weekend and I am so glad they got to experience this place with me. The food was absolutely delicious. I wasted no time eating my dish. I ordered the rigatoni bolognese and I honestly would have licked the plate if I wasn't in public. I'm currently thinking about placing a pickup order this week just to encounter that delicious dish again. Yummy! If you enjoy Italian food I HIGHLY suggest you come check this place out!!! After watching Galactus stretch out Mr. Fantastic like a noodles I was in the mood for some. Anyways.. During the movie a made a reservation for 8:00pm on a Friday night. We get there and are greeted by the host then get asked if we have a reservation? then quickly we get seated. We were giving plenty of time to settled into our table. I believe our waiter was named JT. Gave us our menu and shortly after some bread and oil to snack on. Water was also included. While we looked over the menu he took my adult drink order. Minutes later came a older man wearing something formal. To my wife surprise it was a former employee of The kitchen at stonebrier. He greeted us and told us about his current journey here at Mezzo when I wife asked. He described the specials and answered any questions we had about them. He later said goodbye during our meal. So my noodle craving wasn't meet this night I didn't see cabonara on the menu and I do understand restaurants edited thier menu as the seasons go. We ordered the mushrooms appetizers and the beef carpaccio. Mushrooms where tasty loved the heavy garlic and oil taste. Mushrooms were firm but tender. The beef carpaccio cut so thin it melted in your mouth. Loved the capers and lemon wedge. I actually stoled my wife lemon wedge from her drink to ad more acidity to the carpaccio when a bar tender noticed and brought over extra lemon wedges for me. That's was something special. Later our main dishes arrived. I ordered the ahi tuna dinner and my wife ordered the edited four cheese ravioli. My wife loved the ravioli and I completely enjoyed the ahi tuna steak. The Broccolini had a nice char taste with texture while mash potatoes were silky, good contrast. My wife ordered a peach cobbler of sorts it was super delicious and I ordered a espresso martini for dessert. The food was great along with the service and ambiance. Never felt rushed even being there after closing. Neither did everyone else. Plenty of people still at the bar after closing. Great time at Mezzo. read more

Came here on a Saturday night with a group of four. We were seated fairly quickly at the bar, which we preferred, but most of the tables inside were full--so if you're set on a table, expect a bit of a wait. The restaurant itself is small, with maybe eight tables inside, but there's plenty of patio seating available. Service was decent and attentive enough for a busy evening. Drinks: Sangria (8.5/10): Strong, flavorful, and exactly what I wanted. I went with the red--because if you're not getting red wine in your sangria, you're doing it wrong. Lemon Cooler (special menu, 7/10): On the sweeter side, but still refreshing and nicely strong. Food: Truffle Fries: Freshly made to order--hot, crispy, and generously topped with shredded truffle cheese. Carpaccio: I didn't try this since I don't eat red meat, but my cousin (a big carpaccio fan) said it wasn't the traditional style, though she really liked it. The addition of pine nuts and truffle cheese was a nice touch. Arancini: Piping hot and freshly fried with a good balance of corn, cheese, and orzo. Well-seasoned and satisfying. Crab Cakes (off-menu, courtesy of our family friend in the kitchen): Hands down, star of the night. Perfectly fried with a thin, crisp coating that didn't overwhelm the crab. The inside was packed with crab meat--plentiful and flavorful--without the heavy filler you usually find in crab cakes. Honestly, I've had plenty in Maryland (iykyk), and these held their own. The coating added just the right crunch, and they were served on a mustard-based sauce that paired really well. Overall: I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in town. This visit was more about drinks and apps as we were just dropping by to say hi to our family friend, but next time I'm looking forward to trying the entrées. read more

Great spot for a date night! My favorite part about the food was how hot it was served. I ordered the gamberetti alfredo and it was 10/10! I would definitely order again with extra parm. My husband ordered the brasato costola corta which was full of flavor! For dessert we had the pistachio crème brûlée not pictured below; topped with a chocolate biscotti. The ambiance here is great! Candlelight (battery operated) and flowers (fake) on every table. There is an outside area however, it was over 100 degrees on the day I went. I will say, however, the ambience of this place would be great for a date night. The food is good and a couple things are great! The Focaccia bread served for free at your table is amazing so is the balsamic in the oil! I could've just had that, it was so good! For appetizers, I tried the calamari, the shrimp, and the deep fried olives. I have never tried a deep-fried olive before, and let me tell you it was the best thing ever! The others just had tempura batter on them and were averagely good. I also tried the artichoke, it is grilled and had a unique flavor. It was good, but not great. I would pass on it it's not worth the money or calories. For dinner, I had the halibut. It was very good. Served with broccolini and mashed potatoes. My only complaint would be that it was served at a slightly over room temperature. I would really appreciate when I get food served that it is piping hot. To be fair I was with a few others, and it was extremely packed in the restaurant. My friend had a pasta dish in which they added chicken to it. I tried a bite of it and was not impressed at all. I do not recommend it. I can't remember the name of it, but you will see a picture of it in my review. It was very salty. Our friend had a hamburger and french fries. It too was average, but I will say at least it was served extremely hot. I took off one star for the food, not being served hot (with the exception of the hamburger and fries) not even the appetizers were served hot. Also, the parking is absolutely horrible. Went here last night for my birthday and had a terrible experience. When I made reservations, they were told it was for a birthday and even acknowledged it when we were greeted at the front desk.... That's pretty much where the night went downhill... the place was crowded and very loud, I felt I was sitting with the tables to the left and right of me... they were so close I heard every bit of their conversation and had to scream over that to talk with the person with me....they were hosting a huge party in the back and that is where their attention seemed to be, neglecting the rest of the restaurant.... They left one frazzled waiter by himself and the rest of the crew catered to the bridal party on the patio... i watched my appetizer sit in the service window for almost 20 minutes before it was brought to me.... They didn't acknowledge my birthday when we sat down, no free dessert, no happy birthday written on the plate of dessert not even a happy birthday from the waiter .... no offer of a free drink or a discount... NOTHING... food took forever to come out and when it did everything was terrible... absolutely no flavor which i should have known from the empty salt shaker on the table .... It was well loved by those before me... it wasn't even worth taking pictures of the meal... I really was expecting an authentic Italian meal for my birthday and was very disappointed in the meal and service.... I can't even blame the waiter, he was flustered and irritated also and rightfully so... if you can't accommodate a large party AND still cater to your regular guests then DONT TRY AND DO BOTH... I will never return here .... Food was awful... the only good thing was the tiramisu but it wasn't good enough to make up for that awful experience read more

Stopped by on a Saturday night and it looked pretty busy but got a table for 2 in less than 5 minutes. We received complimentary bread and wow! The bread was super soft and fresh. I would eat 10 plates of their bread! They have specials on top of their main menu. I got the Fettuccine and my boyfriend got the Parmagiano. The portions are great! We definitely were super full. This was a romantic restaurant tucked in the corner. Parking was easy and free. Customer service was good and the workers seemed happy to be there. I tried the Salmone con risotto entree and was disappointed. The salmon was cooked nicely with a crunchy sear outside and moist inside. It was seasoned with salt. The salmon was overpowered by the risotto and the ratio of fish to carbs was quite off. There was a giant blob of risotto topped by a 4 inch slice of salmon. The dish tasted sour against salted fish. There were raw chopped cranberries instead of pomegranate, which made it even more sour. read more
