Did not enjoy the food. Soup and broth lacked quality. Tasted like powder flavored broth with low quality ingredients. Didn't like the service either. We came in a small party and they automatically added 18% service charge which could easily be missed. Not sure why the reviews aren't higher here. We had delicious Pho!! I had chicken thigh Pho, i think it was called Dragon. And my husband had the beef pho, both were very different and equally amazing. The broth was fantastic on both!! I think the prices are good here for being right in the tourist zone of Duval st. The unfiltered cold sake was also delicious, and the bartender was amazing helping us pick a sake. My only issue with this visit was I went to the bathroom and the hallway back to the bathroom had a door wide open to the pantry or kitchen, and I saw a massive huge hunk of raw meat sitting out on the counter. Not sure if it was purposefully aging, or very unsanitary, but at least shut the kitchen door so guests can't see that and wonder if we're eating bad meat. However, we didn't get sick so I guess it was ok! I'll be back, the Pho was amazing. read more

I ordered a dish that came out like cold ramen in a peanut sauce, quite salty and just OK. My son, however got vegetarian pho with tofu in a shiitake mushroom broth that was quite delicious. Whenever I've ordered vegetarian pho at other places, the broth is either meat-based or just a bland vegetable broth. This was probably the best veggie pho I've tasted. Okay, the name got me! I had to check this place out and give it a chance. It's Key West pricing so definitely not alluring, but they have pretty decent food and the service was fine. What caught my eye on the menu was the #8 Curried Lamb. What I liked was the presentation and the focus on the lamb. The gaminess from the lamb stood out and was not too off-putting. Lots of lamb pieces that they definitely didn't skimp on. The broth was light and I felt that it could have had a stronger curry presence. Overall though, I enjoyed it and would get it again if I were back. A few technical tweaks to the dish would definitely make it stand out though! I got Hot Sake as well. We had a wonderful dinner at the bar at Pho King Awesome. We were able to see our food being made by the chef and that is always such a treat. We had appetizers at another restaurant, so we split two things here. We had the steamed dumplings and the pork belly steamed buns. The dumplings were really good but the steamed buns stole the show! They were wonderful and so fresh. The buns are actually really hard to describe...they are like nothing else! We had a great time being able to be indoor/outdoor and looking out at the craziness of Duval Street. read more

This restaurant didn't worth even one star. No service at all, we need find the chairs our self to be seated. The server gave you empty cups without water. Anime like figure on the wall, and along the business name it's written "Japanese Sake and noodle rolling pin" in Japanese. THIS IS an ASIAN FUSION RESTAURANT. We ordered two different kind of dumplings, oxtail pho. They were good as "Asian fusion". And added shrimp tempura, then our "not so friendly" server was kind enough to ask if it's OK with us since it comes with calamari as a side dish. That side dish, I think it's a smoked calamari and wood ear mushroom, that flavor reminded me of "Otoshi" served at Izakaya back home in Japan. If you like the Asian flavors, they do it well. The name tells the truth. We enjoyed the soft shell crab with mushroom soup which was amazing and the beef Pho, also amazing. You can buy yourself an instant noodle cup, pour into it bottle water, microwave it, and add an egg if you want to make it fancy, then you have 10 times better dish than any noodles you order here.
