This restaurant was super fast as far as their service. My partner and I initially went here for their soup and noodles but we were enticed by their sashimi deluxe and sushi. They have the Lord of the rings for their sushi that is not in their menu. The Lord of the rings crispy sushi is to die for. It has very little rice, the cream cheese compliments all the other ingredients in the sushi rolls. The sushi rolls were topped with a bunch of chopped Tuna. Their sashimi was so good and tasted so fresh. The salmon, Tuna, white Tuna, yellowtail were so fresh that melts in your mouth. The servers were so busy but so fast and the service was superb. This restaurant has enough staff members to serve patrons and accommodate their business. All the servers were hard workers. read more

Like the name suggests, I was SOUPER happy to find this hidden gem of Asian food in Key West. After several days of vacation, I find myself craving Asian flavors. On this trip specifically, I had an almost violent craving for noodle soups, and had already tried several other places that unfortunately didn't hit the spot. Enter Souper Happy Noodle Bar, its predominantly Thai menu and shared space with Misohappy gave me everything I was craving. The shop is tiny with the sushi bar and two seater tables on the main floor. There were a few additional tables in the upstairs loft, which is where we were seated. The restaurant is cute with great decor, and service was fast and friendly. Each table had a sauce station with chili garlic sauce, pickled jalapeños (quite spicy!), and chili oil. We ordered the salmon and spicy yellowtail rolls from the sushi menu. They both had more pieces than expected and were packed full of fish, with not too much rice. Very fresh and a good way to start off our meal! The lobster noodle had come highly recommended and after it arrived I could see why. It was a MASSIVE bowl, beautifully plated with the lobster shell and fried lobster wontons. The lobster meat was fresh and plentiful, the egg noodles were springy, and the coconut curry soup was SO GOOD. My only (tiny) complaint is that it was a tad too sweet for me, but that was easily fixed with the chili oil. I could taste lime in the broth but would have loved some extra lime wedges on the side to further balance out the sweetness as well. We also got the chicken noodle bowl with broth, and it was very similar to chicken pho. The rice noodles were perfectly cooked, the chicken was not stringy, and the broth was clear but so flavorful with the perfect amount of herbs. It looked simple but was so, so, good! Both this and the lobster noodle were served in huge bowls but by the end of our meal we were scraping the bottom for the remaining drops of broth. We rounded out our meal with a seafood stir-fry and rice. The portion was huge and in a rare turn of events, not 80% veggies. There was a good amount of seafood and it was all super tender. The sauce was slightly salty but paired with rice it was tasty. This is genuinely the best meal I had in Florida, and I'm sad I don't have a Souper Happy noodle where I live. They are serving up reasonably priced, excellently made food and deserve all the recognition! Definitely recommending to all my friends if they visit Key West in the future!! read more

Finding a Thai place with dishes beyond pad Thai and tom yum in small towns in Florida is not easy. Having lived in Thailand for 6 years I usually have to make the dishes I love myself like tom sum, Pad Kra Pao moo or kung, and grilled squid when I want it or I have to drive an hour to Orlando (which is the closest city to me). when I found out they sold a couple of my favorite dishes here and I was going to be on my boat fishing and diving for the week I knew I had to try this place. While my husband claims mine is best (he is so sweet) I think they did a really good job for a busy restaurant. My only sad moment is they didn't have nam jim for the seafood or prik nam pla for the kra pao. The seafood came with a lime sauce but it didn't have the same spice or taste as my favorite Thai seafood sauce. I'll be back at the end of August for three weeks to fish and dive and I'll def be back to eat here again for sure! but I'll bring my own sauces for when I order so I can have a more authentic experience haha read more

Souper Happy, Miso Happy, Thai Island - all the same. Have been going their almost every other day each year we are in Key West which is typically several weeks at a time. The waitress KT offered the Key Lime Pie after our meal stressing it was excellent. Well - it was god awful - was disgusting and had coconut milk poured all over it. We couldn't eat it. $11 wasted. No refund offered. There are many venues that serve Great Key Lime Pie. Don't sit by the stairs at Souper Happy as no protection from dust and dirty shoes. Be careful when asking for spice - very poor control. Some of the staff is very good and I found out some of the staff is not. read more

We let the lady know and She asked us if they could refry it after the food were being touch to put back to the pot. We think it's gross, So we say no. We received the same complimentary piece of a crispy roll (don't know what's in it other than eel sauce but it's a great start!) We then officially started with their "famous" crab Rangoon which was hot, crispy & cheesey! YUM! I then "made my own" (you pick the combo) Ramen bowl with veggie broth, ramen noodles, veggie "protein" & added a soft boiled egg. Delicious! I am a saltaholic so I added a big of soy sauce to the broth and it made it extra delicious! Hubby had the pork ramen and loved it! Next time he will add veggies. This place is small but the overall atmosphere was very welcoming. The waitstaff were very friendly and respectful. We actually went back the next day for "linner" (it was 3pm) and the waitress was so bubbly and helpful in her suggestions. The crab Rangoons were truly delicious- a must try! We also ordered noodle soup (I had the duck and my husband the beef pho) and while it was not the best broth I've eaten, it was still pretty flavorful. YUM!! This is not only one of my favorite spots in Key West, but one of my favorite restaurants ever. It's actually 2 restaurants in one - Misohappy which is sushi and classic Thai dishes and Souperhappy which is ramen, pho, and other soup dishes. We've tried many dishes, but today we started with the avocado bomb, it was perfectly crispy and not soggy like fried avocado tends to be. It was topped with krab and seaweed salad (my fav) and it was just delicious and a big serving. We had the pineapple fried rice which was excellent and the souper pork belly bowl which was super flavorful, mildly spicy, and even though it was warm, the broth was light enough that the meal was refreshing. We sat outside to watch people walk by but there is indoor seating as well. Service was excellent, our waitress was very sweet and boxed our meals for us. Will absolutely be back and would recommend to anyone visiting key west! read more

We had a delicious sushi dinner just beside Souper Happy and walked by a few tables outside where their food smelled amazing - so we came back the next day. No regrets!! If we had more time here, I'll probably try a few more of the soup dishes. This is savory, delicious and reminds me of authentic Thai food like what I have tasted many years ago when we were in Thai.
