OMG...volcano roll & eel roll, house salad and gouza. It was a mini hurricane outside but this was one of my daughter's favorite sushi spots in Key West so we made it here somewhat wet. We've been here once before and not really sure why my review was not done. The yellow Sapporo branded motorcycle under the sushi bar was the centerpiece of the eatery and a cool addition - maybe it belongs to the owner. Sapporo is a light crisp 5% abv lager and the oldest beer brand in Japan. The ultra colorful wall mural brought some Japanese cartoony anime into the main dining room next to our table. Slightly pricey but the sushi was super fresh with big portions. The waiter was attentive and quick to take our order with apps and drinks out fast but we were a big party so it took a bit to bring the main dishes but everything was "made to order". If you're searching for good sushi that does not cause stomach cramps later, then try this place. read more

We discovered this restaurant after the boat Captain recommended it as a local go to place. It certainly did not disappoint. after being in the keys for four nights this is my favorite eats. I think because it goes back to my Asian roots, and I became discouraged with trying to find the best fresh fish sandwich when it was hit or miss half the time . Ordered through DoorDash so can't say much about ambience or service. The gyoza and shu mai appetizers steamed 3/5 had a unique flavor that wasn't to my preference, but it seemed fresh nonetheless. Japanese bagel roll and triple roll 5/5 was prepared nicely . The portion of fish to rice was also good so one didn't overpower the other. These two rolls were my favorite, it melts in your mouth. volcano roll 4/5 had a generous amount of fish on top , not as soft in texture, but still a good sushi roll. Some of the worst sushi I've ever had would not recommend. Got the spicy salmon roll and the taste and smell was one that was past its due date and may fear a long night in the bathroom. Fingers crossed since I only had two pieces. The other roll I had was not much better but was at least edible but I only got through half of it. As for the staff we sat at the sushi bar for quite a bit and was never really checked on. So for a recommendation I can not give that and would tell someone to stay away. read more

The service is where I was disappointed. It's a huge pet peeve of mine when there is trash on the table...like the wadded up paper from a straw or used napkin set on the edge to be picked up...and a server doesn't take it. Twice, he ignored the trash until I had to pick it up and hand it to him and ask him to take it. It's a bit chilly when dining in so bring a jacket!! I have been here countless times and ordered so many different rolls and all of them have been great. Always check the specials board!! Sucks. Sushi is low grade and even the rice was under cooked. Nothing worse than crunchy rice in your sushi. Didn't help that the fish smelled and the cook 8n the kitchen had her daughter running around the place. We just paid and got the f out. Beyond terrible. Came here for a late night dinner (around 9pm) on a Saturday. It was very dead inside and only one other customer was in the whole building. The service was a bit slow and standoffish, but thankfully we weren't in a hurry. The drink selection is pretty minimal, and it took a while to get the bar drinks brought to the table. After visiting the Hemingway house, Sushi Song is located just around the corner. The decorations inside are fun, and the service was very fast. I ordered the vegetarian sushi (cucumber, carrot, and avocado) and added cream cheese for a dollar. I also ordered a cold green tea and the house salad. I was surprised they didn't have ginger dressing for the house salad. The dressing was more mustard based, which was still good, and it was a nice big portion for a house salad.
