I ordered the beef pho to go. I ended up assembling it in my car so it was ready to eat when I got home, about an hour away. My only complaint is that the beef was precooked. Could be my fault for not specifying rare? But everywhere I've ever gotten pho has served the meat raw so it cooks in the broth. The portion of beef was very small. Maybe 8-10 pieces that were about the size of a quarter. I ended up omitting it from the pho altogether. When I got home, the pho was still piping hot and very delicious, despite the lack of beef. read more

Loved eating here! I tried the Rangoon tea which was a hot tea made with condensed milk. I also got the Shan noodles which were delicious!! My husband got the beef fried rice which was super tasty and my sister got the beef pho. My two year old niece even ate everything on her plate and then some which is saying something I've you've ever eaten with a toddler lol. I really liked the chili peppers in it and the combo of flavors - I didn't find it to be spicy, so I'm guessing they skimped a little on that thinking I couldn't handle it. Haha. Everything we tried was delicious. I have never had Burmese cuisine, so we tried a bit of everything. Service was slow, but they had a large lunch crowd. My favorite thing to do on work trips is to try and find the best Pho spot I can. After reading the many positive reviews on yelp, I decided to visit this place. I walked in and noticed the blinds were mostly closed, it was pretty dim other than a hallway where the bathrooms were and all of the tvs were off. I was only the second table seated in here. Not a big deal but I sat down and was given my menu. I looked around and unfortunately noticed how unclean and deteriorated the place was. The menus were crinkled, old, and covered in dried sauce. The floors looked like they hadn't been cleaned in awhile. Even the outlets next to me were ancient and I could see dust inside. I feel really bad writing this but I immediately stood up and left without getting a drink. I get that money can be tight as a small business owner but does it really hurt to ensure your place where people eat is clean? This is one of many Burmese restaurans in the area. The entrees are huge and come with a bowl of broth soup. Service was a little slow, but it was pretty busy for lunch and there were only 2 people working the front of house. (The kitchen was bustling and the food came out fast.) They have several pho soups (hence the name), but I came for the authentic Burmese cuisine, which is a fusion of Chinese and Indian cuisine. Everything was delicious. The bathrooms were to gross to use, the microwave kept beeping while we waited, and when they set my wife's food down I immediately said "I'm so sorry" to her. I had to do my best to not laugh because I thought she might lose her mind. Our food looked horrible and tasted horrible. We immediately asked for the check and left after only two bites. First off, the food is delicious. The service with the gentleman who's the owner is terrific. Sometimes, younger people serve who, to me, are a bit less refined. But everyone is always courteous, helpful, and kind. Compared to two other Pho places I've visited locally, this one has great food and portions for the price. It's also in Greenwood near the mall, so it's very accessible for me. The location is quiet, and the TV plays soothing music as you eat. The GPS directed me to the Greenwood mall and I had been lost before I called and the owner who directed me to Dollar General and sure enough they were right next door, another bad sign! Then things changed. The pho was delicious! The place was very clean. My craving for Vietnamese food was satisfied. After devouring the fried spring rolls with gusto I tackled the pho. Spring rolls were nicely crisp but mushy inside. The samosas were delicious with a deep, complex flavor and a delightful crisp. The chicken fried rice was bland and unremarkable. It wasn't awful but it also wasn't great. The pho was salty. It was otherwise unimpressive but did its job of filling my belly with warmth. I went to this restaurant years ago and I basically liked it. It's very close to where I live, so that's a plus. I went again recently and was really wanting/craving some vegetable sushi. I was very disappointed that they don't offer any type of sushi anymore. I got chicken lo mein instead. It was OK, and rated on flavor alone - I'll give it an 8 on a 10 scale. It wasn't greasy or highly oily tasting like some other lo meins I have tried elsewhere. But, I will admit as much as you pay for it you don't get a whole lot and they skimp on the chicken and the vegetables because it's more noodles than anything. I stopped by on a chilly Tuesday for a late lunch after running errands in Greenwood. This place shares the building with a Family Video store on the south east corner of the Greenwood Mall property (north west corner of Frye and Madison). The signs out front and on the side mention sushi, but guess what. They no longer have sushi on the menu and the waiter confirmed that they don't have it any longer. So, scratch that from my selections. I decided to go with a cup of Rangoon Tea/Coffee based on other Yelper suggestions and followed that with a bowl of Steak Noodle Pho. The tea was served at a drinkable temperature and was surprisingly sweet! I know I've tasted the underlying flavor before, but I'm unable to determine what it reminded me of. Whatever it was, it was great. (Note that a single cup was plenty for me. I don't believe you get free refills.) Before long, by large bowl of Pho arrived with a fork and Asian soup spoon (ceramic). It also had a small plate with sliced pepper (looked like jalapeno), mint sprigs, and raw bean sprouts. I also received bottles of Hoisin and Sriracha sauces. I must admit I have had Pho three times previously and was clueless on what was proper. So I You Tubed it and solved the problem. I added the individual leaves off the mint, the sprouts, and the pepper slices and stirred them in, letting the hot broth semi-cook the new ingredients and let their flavor spread into the pho. The broth was tasty even before I added the new ingredients, so I really enjoyed the perked up flavor. At the bottom of the bowl, the long rice noodles (think white thin spaghetti) and the thin sliced beef nestled. I think the owners realize that most Hoosiers would struggle using chopsticks to fish out noodles, so the fork was a welcome tool. And whenever I speared a bit of the steak, I dipped it in the Hoisin sauce I had put on my small serving bowl that the soup spoon had been delivered in. The steak (and probably all the meat options) don't have a lot of seasoning since they soak in the broth, so dipping the pieces directly in the Hoisin makes for a much tastier bite. Yes, the meat gets a bit chewy, but because it is sliced thin, it wasn't difficult to get used to. (I am not sure how the shrimp would hold up since I am not a fan of it when it gets rubbery.) The dining room was pretty sparse, so the noise level was low even with some classic rock playing softly in the background. Not much atmosphere inside, but the bright tangerine walls and a few decorative plates kept it from looking too sterile. I had pho for the first time and at this location - it was pretty delicious! I had it at medium spice level. It was a bit spicy for me, but a GOOD spice. I went through a couple of waters and a couple "dog pants" from the heat, happily. It came out warm and a lot of it! Overall, this restaurant has really flavorful food, great prices, and they work quickly. The employees have always been helpful, too. A very quiet laid back Pho place. I walked in and you can tell it's a small family ran business, I was a little surprised they didn't have a Pho lunch menu, but only a sushi one. I wanted to try their Shrimp Pho. But before that had to try their "Rangoon Tea", its very unique and some amazing hot tea. It's a must try Indian Coffee (as they say). I then had my Shrimp Pho, the broth was great and the noodles were on point, but as always I had to add some Hoisin sauce and Sriracha to the bowl. Yum! It was some authentic Pho. They give you a HEAVY portion of Shrimp which I was surprised and very happy about! The only thing I wish they would of had was a little more Airflow as I felt stuffy in their and also some music playing.
