The wait for our food was quite long, but I understand why--they were busy, with customers lined up out the door. To make up for the wait, they generously brought around plates of crab Rangoon. The egg roll was excellent, and my husband said the egg foo young was the best he's ever had, which is quite the compliment since he orders it regularly. All I can say is.....amazing!! I have heard lots about how great this place is, but I hadn't given it a try yet until I was invited by a friend. I was on the fence about ordering pho or a dish that had rice. I decided on a spicy beef pho, and it was the right choice! I love that it was served with a generous portion of jalapenos, sprouts, basil, and cilantro! I was never a huge fan of basil in my pho until this place. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! My broth was perfectly spicy, and the beef was so tender. I love the texture of the noodles in this dish, and I love the crunch that the added vegetables give to the meal. My friend ordered crab rangoons which I got to try, and they were incredible as well! The service was so fast! You order at a counter and they deliver to your table. The whole restaurant has a simple but great vibe to it. You can tell that people come there to get a for-sure good meal. This has been one of my favorite restaurants in Indy and it had been several years since I've been. I went back in early Feb 2025 and it. Did. Not. Disappoint. From extremely friendly employees taking orders at the front to plenty of seating to choose from, I had a great experience from the moment I walked in. The restaurant had tons of people popping in to pick up takeout orders and lots of people choosing to dine in, but I never felt rushed nor did it feel crowded. I ordered the beef and broccoli and it was fantastic. I was surprised that there were also carrots and onions, but they were well cooked and added to my enjoyment of the meal. I sampled the chicken fried rice and was impressed by the large chunks of chicken found in the dish. I ordered a side of vegetable soup and it did look quite different than the photo, which was a little disappointing. I was expecting a lot of carrots and instead, there were only 2 in my entire bowl. Overall though, I still enjoyed my food tremendously. I'm looking forward to coming back for a lunch meal, which includes a smaller portion of an entree, egg roll or crab Rangoon, and egg drop or sweet and sour soup, all for under $10. Be warned - the draft or air flow can make the doors to the restaurants hard to open, so be prepared to tug. Once you make it through the doors though, you won't be disappointed. Don't forget to grab an extra fortune cookie out of the basket near the door on your way out! read more

There's a reason this place is so legendary in the Indianapolis area. The Chinese food is on point, it's all great, prepared damn near perfectly. However, where they really shine is in the Vietnamese menu. The Pho is absolutely amazing, and the Bun Bo Hue is just utterly incredible. Haven't tried to Thai menu, despite going there for years, but I can't imagine it's disappointing. The staff are always fantastic, and accommodating. I really have nothing but great things to say about this place. I'm not one of those people that cares about ambiance. Leave that to the yuppies and the Karens. Nothing cures a hangover like a bowl of pho. This place was packed for lunchtime on Saturday and I can see why! The pho was sooo good. Coming from California where there are vietnamese restaurants literally everywhere, I was excited to finally eat at my first one in Indy after living here for over a year. It did not disappoint!! The flavor of the broth, noodles, and all the fixings were very authentic and I was happily surprised at how generous they were with the meat in my pho! The prices are also very affordable. We also ordered spring rolls. They had shredded lettuce in them which I thought was interesting (I've never seen that before), but my boyfriend said they were good! I haven't found a good place for Vietnamese food in Indiana...until now. This is coming from someone who was raised on good home cooked Vietnamese food and lived in So Cal all my life (until I moved to IN a couple years ago). This place will definitely satisfy my craving when I'm missing Vietnamese food. Their dishes were authentic and well seasoned. Their menu is so vast. They have Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese food options. Most of the reviews said that they shine bright with the Vietnamese dishes and they were right. The noodle soups were good. Bun bo hue noodle soup had the correct flavor profile and was proper spicy, the good kinda spicy where you want to keep digging in. The pho and hu thieu were good too. The hu thiếu with tofu was great. The tofu was fried well, and the dish was served with bean sprouts, Thai Basil, and lime on the side. It even had a bit of fried shallots. The fresh tofu spring rolls came with a dipping sauce which was made with the appropriate sauce, a thin hoisin based sauce with some sriracha. The employees were friendly, and the environment is very approachable. They have photos of their menu items and an English description for the Vietnamese dishes. They have a big dining area. Most people got food to-go when I was there, and the wait time was not long at all. read more

We arrived in the middle of lunch hour on a Tuesday. The restaurant was busy but there were a few tables available. My husband ordered the Sweet and Sour Pork with a cup of egg drop soup, and I ordered pork fried rice with wonton soup. The egg drop soup was already ready so my husband carried it with our utensils etc to the table and ate it. It was a very tiny cup of soup, with fried wonton strips on top. They then brought out my pork fried rice - it was obviously the same bland rice they serve on the side of main entrees, with a few pieces of chewy pork and some sliced green onions added. It was very, very bland and dry and had peas and carrots in it - ALWAYS a major turn-off for fried rice. I wondered why they hadn't brought my soup out first, and also my husband's sweet and sour pork had not been brought out. So he watched me as I picked at this awful fried rice. Then they brought my wonton soup - a larger portion than my husband's egg drop soup, but not as large as the pho everyone around me seemed to be eating. It was served steaming hot, which was about the best thing I could say about it. The broth was pale, watery and flavorless - I added a little soy sauce to try to improve it a little, but it didn't help much. It had some random vegetables/lettuce floating in it and two huge, doughy "wontons". I ate spoonfuls of the broth and waited for the dumplings to cool down. I cut one in half and tasted it - BIG mistake. It had a filling that was the worst I've ever tasted in my life - it had a strange flavor and pasty texture I have never encountered in a wonton before, and I have been eating Chinese food since the 1960s. I almost gagged as I forced it down. At this point they finally brought my husband's sweet and sour pork out. It was big chunks of fried batter with the same chewy pork inside, drizzled with a little sweet and sour sauce, and that same bland fried rice on the side, with the peas and carrots. It also came with two crab rangoons. My husband, who will eat just about anything, ate most of the dish but didn't like it much. I gave up trying to eat my meal and we got up and headed to the door, leaving almost all of my food on the table. I will never be back to this establishment, ever. It was the worst Asian food I have ever had in my life. read more

Arguably the best Viet, Thai, and American Chinese in town and all at one location! There are certain consistencies in the world su as, the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, etc., plus Egg Roll #1 will be so busy on Saturday that they have to close for at least an hour to get the food restocked, clean the whole place, and give the staff a break to make it through the night. The Pho is always top-flight, the Thai is always on point, and the Chinese superior. The front line is a madhouse at peak times but they handle it with a smile. Have you ever craved something so much but just couldn't satisfy that craving in a 200 mile radius? I feel fortunate that I just happened to discover this gem and I wasn't even looking for this specifically. Pho gai may truly be the best pho in Indiana. We were driving along and although the building and signage didn't strike me as appealing I was interested in Pho. My fellow Yelpers clinched the decision with a lot of stars... so in we went. The atmosphere was not a high point but the aroma was delightful. The ladies working were so effortlessly efficient you might think it was an easy job. But I'm sure it wasn't. They delivered the food very quickly, so it was still fresh and hot. The fresh ingredients of large amounts of basil and bean sprouts made the Pho dish healthy and delicious.
